I don't think it has any reflection on most of society; it's just an ADHD/autistic trait (which have a lot of overlap) to be somewhat blind to connotations. It's pretty hard to say the world would be a better place just by removing all abstraction from communication lol

I still find that Jess saying they're gonna be the bestest of friends or mortal enemies was totally over the top (although a huge amount of people are like Jess, either every acquaintance is immediately considered a super close friend or they hate you). Personally I realate to Nut, that I think they have to be friends or enemies, they're just acquaintances. I don't understand why everything always has to be so extreme.
@@saradale3901 she wasn't being super serious about it. Hyperbole is a huge part of millennial and Gen Z humor; I'm sure you've seen "it's either A or Z, there's no in between" type jokes. She's not actually expecting him to be her best friend ever, and she certainly wasn't actually upset that he said "we're just acquaintances". It's not a bad thing that he didn't get that, but it also doesn't reflect better on him than on her in any way and miscommunication certainly wouldn't help fix the world lol

Yes, this. I know I sound parasocial as fuck but I want them to be best friends. But Nut said he never interacted with her outside of the Jubilee videos, so it doesn't seem like Jess is actually serious when she says they're besties, which is a shame because I've only ever seen guys have this level of legendary platonic friendship with each other, never between a guy and a girl.

Nut is actually really funny. I wasn't a huge fan of him in the videos, but hearing what the day was like for him, and how it went for him, was fun. Him and Jess are a funny duo, and I hope they're in more videos together 😊
I think in the videos it seems like he is playing a role, then when you see him here you find that he is genuinely like this which is honest

Jess is stunning
It'd be sick to see them get a podcast together, their dynamic is kind of awesome. Nut's just so detached from the social rat race that he's actually looped back to being the most sane person, just a fully actualized Nut in his own lane living life. And then there's Jess who's objectively a very cool and dominant kind of person by most social standards, but when trying to get a reaction about anything from Nut, just gets nowhere and has no idea what to do with Nut because Nut is a rock. And their back-and-forth highlights that contrast between them so well, it's so good dude
