That's a good way to be--you can do whatever you need to do without having to think twice about how it makes you look. It's the step right below invincibility.
Pavel/Dan's prying goblet squat probably started the confusion. Started doing babymakers after I bought Olympic Weightlifting for Sport ( I am not an oly lifer and no good at oly but I like clean pulls etc.). Truth be told I just want to be able to sit in a deep squat like you are here. This and simple ankle work have done more than years of becoming "a supple leopard".
So I’m watching this while the wife nips into the supermarket. I have “Scottish hips” so I actually felt tempted to try this in the carpark... that was until I saw Greg’s demo. Awesome info. Cheers, from the UK 👍
Greg can you recommend a program for someone who hasn’t lifted in about 2 years. And that has corrective exercises for the snatch (keeping the bar close, third pull). Thanks, James
I've never thought Kang squats were particularly useful. Beyond doing the movement with an empty bar as part of your basic warm-up, I just don't see a good reason and at least one good reason NOT to do them--strengthens the body in a way that encourages unloading of the legs in a squat recovery or pull, which is already a problem for many lifters.
Is it entirely possible that people are doing things that are different than what you described, and getting different things out of a mobility movement than what you're expecting them to, and they know they're not doing Russian Baby Makers?
Pregnancy test came positive after trying this. Turns out we can have babies without women. This channel is very informative.

This is definitely a stretch best done in the privacy of one's own home.
@@CatalystAthletics that sounds more like a reason to try it in public setting🙂🙃
FYI: the Russians call it the Gulog Hustle.

Note, this is not suggested in your 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
Definitely contraindicated.
what do you think about following this movement with the kang squat?

It's a pretty solid giveaway when someone posts a video saying, "This is a Russian Baby Maker" and proceeds to do something different.
But...origin of the name...😓😓
But why?
Sorry, I assumed the "Weightlifting Hip Mobility" in the title explained that.
now i really wanna know the origin of the name xD
If you tell us the origins of the name I will ask my whole gym to like and subscribe 😝
