Finally somebody reviewed the Buddy Lee Rope Master for boxing!! 😁 My ABSOLUTE favorite rope since 2008. I have gone through 6 of them and given a few as gifts. I have tried many other ropes as you mentioned but after a while, many other ropes start getting cut by the constant rubbing of the inner tube end of the smaller handle type jump ropes (similar to the Rush Ropes.. which I like too, but not anywhere as close to the Rope Master. It’s on another level.. and Buddy Lee himself is a Jump Rope God Beast! The guys is like a jump rope magician, and so amazing to watch).
A while back, the Rope Master didn’t have a lock washer on the bottom of the base of the swivel.. and I used to put a little bit of non-permanent thread lock because the earlier versions would sometimes screw off when you are going high speed and maneuvering the rope handles in so many angles and directions. Then over the years, they added the lock washer which made a big difference. Originally, it included a transparent black pvc rope, but then they sold the white replacement rope. The white rope actually feels a tad bit heavier, but it is the perfect balance for weight, for speed, tricks, and overall jumping. 2 IMPORTANT TIPS (from experience with 6 of them): 1) OFTEN check the base of the Swivel screwed into the thinner plastic handle ends. I have been through 6 of them because after going high speed with all the footwork drills and tricks, the times that the rope hits you and you have to reset, sometimes you can accidentally let go of the handle and it hits the floor. The most vulnerable section is that connecting area of the swivel base and plastic. Because it is plastic, ALL 6 of the pairs i had have cracked there in the same way!. Sadly my 6th one just cracked over the weekend, and thus i was researching new ropes against the Rope Master for boxing, and I was so happy and relieved you reviewed it, since I am a fan of your reviews and you are my go-to gear reviewer. Basically, all the great gear you reviewed, like Bayoneta, i am all about them
and their full line. IF the rope master had a more durable but lightweight plastic for the handles (to match the current weight) or a very lightweight aluminum, the Rope Master will be perfect. Buddy Lee made a new “Ninja Warrior” rope i want to try as I prefer the long handles, and you nailed it on point explaining the benefit of the longer handles.
    2) Sometimes the bottom ends of the handles can unscrew themselves. So you can add a tiny piece of plumping tape around the threads to prevent it.
Keep up THE best boxing gear reviews on youtube! I trust all the gear you recommend because you dissect everything with theory, sciences, and common sense. You the man!! 🥊👍👍

I use to use them years back. A bit heavier than a speed rope and a different feel. Overall, a good rope

This is a good jump rope, you can save a lot of money by only buying the Swivel Bearing Replacement pair, then using your own home made handles + pvc rope. I had screwed mine into two used permanent marker bodies, perfect fit. The metal bearings need to be kept oiled if you live somewhere very humid, or else they'll rust. If I were to open a gym I'd order a dozen of these.

I just got my 2.0 and find a problem with the connection between the jump ring and cable holder. They bind on every rotation. !! You hear and feel a metallic click on every turn of the rope 🤬
