My favorite kill line in Smite is Kuzenbo's line towards Bacchus: "Do a pushup man, jeez!" Kuzenbo doesnt even say it mockingly he sounds genuinely upset at how weak Bacchus appeared to him
Ravan and Shiva gotta be my favourite, Ravan was a very powerful demon, he was proudly flying in his vimana after defeating his brother, he came across Shiva's mountain but couldn't fly past it no matter how much he tried, so he decided to uproot the entire mountain in rage, Shiva was on the mountain being lovey dovey with his wife, Parvati. When Ravan picked up the mountain, Parvati got startled by the sudden shaking of the mountain. Shiva simply pressed his big toe on the mountain trapping Ravana under it. When Ravan realised that the power of Shiva was beyond his comprehension, he sang praises for a thousand years whilst being trapped under the mountain and became one of the biggest worshippers of Shiva receiving his boon and a cool ass sword, those praises are called Shiva Tandav Stotram now. Thats why he says another thousand years and you might still learn humility or something

Lancelot's death line "I fall with her name upon my lips" is a reference to Lancelot and Guinevere's affair which was a major event in the destruction of the round table
Also the funny thing about the first one is that there is two Excaliburs, one was the sword in the stone, the other was given by Nimue, the one Arthur uses is the one given by Nimue, the first one he broke, but both are seen as Excalibur (though sometimes the other sword isn't given a name at all).
There is a theory that links both linguistics and the arthurian lore: the first sword was broken by a broken oath enchantment, historically, the first mention to King Arthur's sword it is given the name Caliburnus, so when the sword is remade by the fairies, the name would then change to Ex-Caliburnus, meaning that its owner could not keep a promise and literally unmade the sword this way, marking him as an oathbreaker.
I would love seeing more of these, whether its interactions between other gods/kill phrases or even jokes/taunts. Although that might be quite a stretch...but it'd be nice content to see an understand some of these
Much like the long interaction between arthur and merlin/set and horus there are actually two more god pairings that also share a back and forth. I believe Olorun and yemoja have one as well as Tiamat and Gilgamesh sharing one, i main tiamat and have heard it a few times myself. Also i think you could also do some more videos like this and showcase some more of the directed taunts as some of them are pretty cool.
6:36 Persephone was essentially given away, as Zeus gave his permission to Hades. It was considered unusual that Demeter acted the way she did, in retaliation. To be honest, Hades was probably the best god she could’ve attracted… there are much, much worse ones out there, and their marriage was the most stable. Hades even defended her honor against Thesieus and his “friend” when they tried to take her away.
For the Heim and Thor interaction. I believe it was Heimdall who actually suggested the idea of Thor dressing up in a wedding dress. But amazing video nonetheless!
Also Loki was the one that tried marrying Freya off, Thor was loyal to Freya though and begrudgingly wore it for the sake of honouring their friendship while Loki shapeshifted into a bridesmaid as his "wingman"
If you're looking for someone who covers that kind of lore - Jake Doubleyoo has some brilliant and funny animations of the topic of lore. I believe he even did a 30 minute compilation of all the videos together, I highly recommend it
8:23 its funny because the nox joke implying breaking bad makes her seem dangerous, which she canonically was as she was incredibly powerful being a primordial that even the gods feared
I like how Cliodhna is upset on the more extreme death gods like Ah Puch, It shows a part of her myth that isnt very obvious: shenis a protective love goddess.
I would love to see more of these! Another idea would be just a 5-10 second lore explanation for each god, so everyone has a general idea of the lore without having to do the research or read the long god page.
Aw. You missed one of favorite Cthulhu lore lines. In his jokes he references his awakening in the call of Cthulhu book, with him mentioning being hit by a boat which makes sleep again in the house of ryleh.
Fun Fact: Cthulhu has a special quote against Heimdallr: "The Vigilant One, blind as ever. Had you seen this coming, you might have had a chance." This of course being a reference to how in the lore, no one could prepare for his arrival due to ignorance, and being a cheeky nod to Heimdallr amazing vision. But the cool little fact is that they probably made sure he said this to Heimdallr because the name of the freighter that hit Cthulhu as he was waking up... was a called the Vigilant (Heimdallr's title)
Jorm roasting Loki, just peak destruction of character there. Thoth is normally snarky and calm when he kills gods...except Eset, he loses his shit with her.
There's also another ally interaction between Olorun and Yemoja about their love for each other, about how much they missed each other, and the Orishas, Yemoja's children
I've been (not so) patiently waiting for Mani ever since Sol was added to the game. I know he's supposed to be the quiet, patient, tolerant one of the two, but if they did something with the game lore to give him a reason to send an avatar to the Battleground like his sister I think it'd be really cool. I already love how they did Sol, with her essentially just sending a fragment of her power to fight in her stead, and doing something similar with moonlight instead of sunfire would be gorgeous.
You are all getting it all wrong. Thanatos is the literal reaper, but that doesnt mean he is evil, death is neutral, It is only evil in abrahamic myth. The one escorts the dead to the beaches of the Underworld is Hermes.
I wonder if we have any interactions with Ravana-Kali-Ganesha. They had a cool story together where Kalis other side Parvati basically gave Ravana a Giant totem pole to which where ever city he placed it would never fall in battle. Ravana had to carry this ridiculously large pole which weighed a ridiculous sum thousands of miles to where he wanted to place it in his Capital city. Ganesha learned of this and thought it would be funny to trick Ravana, and so he followed Ravana and acted like a kind hand and at one point offered to help Ravana resy by carrying the pillar. Ravana reluctant asked him to prove his power and thus he did lifting a mountain i believe. Ravana then greatful passed the pillar to Ganesha but Ravana didnt know he was Ganesha due to Ganesha changing his appearance, Ganesha then proceeded to instantly let go of the pillar after a laugh and if fell to the ground, and now with a rule of the pillar if it touches the ground it can not be moved from that spot. Ravana was enraged rightfully so and confronted Ganeshas Mother about the ordeal. She wasnt able to change the rule of the pillar but instead she herself proclaimed to guard Ravanas Capital City as Kali whenever she takes the form. Thus making it so only Shiva himself could hope to conquer the city while Kali guarded over it.
