I did 47 out of 50. But it does not mean my level is advanced, because I don`t consider it a difficult one. By the way, in the 30th question you have used the verb "to buy " in the same sentence twice. And in the 37th question the inversion is not correct. Of course, there you have explained that both variants are possible. But we must choose one, and I think as it is a reported speech we must use "where I had been" but not "where had I been"
Good job. Keep up the good work. You should check out some of our other videos to further test your English level.
Loses and not looses question 6
Thank you a lot for this test because it has helped me a lot. I have got 44 out of 50 and I have to say that some of them have been a little challenging to me but I have tried to do my best to improve my English level. I am English teacher one half a year ago and this doesn´t mean to have a relax in my level but it is a very good reason to keep on improving my skills because I need to rely on myself and my skills to help my future pupils.
I am confused on question 37? Is it right to say "When I got home late, my dad asked me where had I been all night"? I thought using "where I had bee all night " is appropriate. What do you think?
It's reported speech, so "Where I had been" is the correct answer.
When I tested the quizzes, I reached upper intermediate level. Thanks for this testing and I know my level now.
Great job! Keep up the good work!
Thumbs up! I appreciate that. Good stuff! I would like to clarify the following if you don't mind answering. In question 37, you chose a) had I been as a correct answer. I would like to know why? How about c) I had been?
Please let me know as soon as possible. Cheers!
Good point! In this case, both a) and c) could be correct. Technically, in standard English you do not use subject-aux inversion with embedded questions. In that case, c) would be the correct answer. However, in many dialects of English, you can use the subject-aux inversion with embedded questions resulting in a) also being a correct choice.
@@EnglishAcademy101 I had the same doubt, thank you!
I have got 37 out 50. I am so happy because my english improves every day
I've got 42 out of 50 this time in this hard English test because there were some things I didn't know so far but that's okay because making mistakes is part of my learning process and I always enjoy my language learning journey and improve my English skills along the way. By the way I'm at the upper-intermediate level of English, B2. Thank you.
I'm thinking about doing CAE exam next year. My score here is 46 however, I shouldn' t rest on my laurels and keep studyjng.
Great job! As you said, you need to constantly be practicing to improve. With that in mind, try checking out some of our other videos and website to help you perfect your English.
Advanced1 ...Thank you👍
Awesome.thank you.
I didn't get the question 37. I think there is a little bit mistake. ‘Cause this is a reported question, we don’t use a question form in this kind of sentence. That's why the correct answer is C (I had been), not an option A (had I been).
Great question. In this case, both a) and c) could be correct. Technically, in standard English you do not use subject-aux inversion with embedded questions. In that case, c) would be the correct answer. However, in many dialects of English, you can use the subject-aux inversion with embedded questions resulting in a) also being a correct choice.
My answer was c too
42 out of 50...not so bad for a spanish speaker I think....
Thanks 👍🇵🇪!
Keep on!!
Regarding Question 10, why is "whom" a wrong answer?
i'm taking the fce this year (in 2 months!! really, *really* nervous honestly) and, to my surprise, i got 50/50! in spite of this result, i'll keep studying to make the best out of this opportunity :)
thank you for making this video!

47 out of 50!! They were easy enough for me!! Maybe it is just due to the fact that i am an English tutor .
Come on guys!! "Give me a hand" is learnt at Int level if not at Pre-Int. I had fun with the test though! Thank you.
Glad you liked the test!

I got 45/50, great video!
I have got 33/50, I must get better.
I didn't understand question 8. Can you explain to me why you think a)
"didn't use to" is correct?
Great question. In this question, "didn't use to" refers to past actions that are no longer true. In other words, before I did not run; however, that is not true anymore because I run now.
I got 41/50. The test was really good and satisfied
Great job! Glad you liked the test! Check out some of our other material to help you perfect your English.
i got 42. It makes me positive to continue with practising

39/50. I feel I should learn vocabulary more.
Hello, can you please explain to me' why we use PAST PERFECT in 17 question. thanks.
Great question! In this case, a) doesn't work because the past participle "been" needs an auxiliary verb b) doesn't work because the verb "has" doesn't work with the adjective "sunny", and d) doesn't work because we do not normally use the past continuous with stative verbs such as “to be”. Therefore, by process of elimination, we have to choose c). In this context, the past perfect is being used to set up a scene giving us context before another action which is not stated in this question.
@@EnglishAcademy101 Oh! i see now, thank you for your replie.( i was a little confused because other action is not stated in this question, but now i get it ;). )
Let me be honest here...
This is my only attempt to the test and I could answer 44 correctly. For most of the questions (nearly 30 random questions), it took me only 5 to 10 seconds to figure out the answers and the rest of them have made me spend less than a minute, particularly the six wrong amswers required more attention and I could eliminate two incorrect options in all of them though. But when I felt uncomfortable answering those 6 questions within a minute, that means the questions had just revealed my weakness. When someone feels so confused between two options and throwing a stone to opt the right one by trusting one's luck is not considered as perfect knowledge in this area. We are not here to impress anyone with 50/50. We must be honest with ourselves, this is the metric to measure our true knowledge and we should be loyal and truthful with the way we answer questions and with the scores like when we undergo any medical test as we don't fake it but face it. I hope and I wish I am at C1 level.
Good job! We have a lot of other material, both videos as well as articles on our website, to help you with those areas that you need to improve. Good luck!
I got 45/50, thank for uploading these videos so we can keep learning, I'm gonna go check the other tests you have!!!! Again, thank You very much!!!

I got 46 out of 50, but I don't take it for granted. The use of English part in the c1 exam is my Achilles heel 🤣
i'm taking the fce this year, and the reading part is always to blame for ruining my perfect score in every single one of my mocks 😵💫😅

in the question "my dad ___ me drive his spirts car" should it be "let" or "lets" ??? in the options it was only "let" , I got confused !
Great question. In this context, "let" is used because the sentence is in the past tense. However, "lets" would also work if it was an option in this sentence if you were talking in the present tense.
