Astonishing to think that Daley's Long Jump of 8.01m would have placed him 5th in the individual event at these Olympics. Unbelievable talent for a Decathlete.

The amount of attention Seb Coes sporting achievements receive in comparison to Daley is laughable. Daley was the supreme athlete. Incredible.

Seb is white Tory. Daley is black. Hence the coverage difference. Daley is the best British athlete of all time…He was lightening fast and had the heart of a lion.

Steve Ovett doesn’t get the credit he deserves nor Steve Cram, and they’re both white. Dame Kelly Holmes gets credit so does Sir Mo Farah and Dames Jessica Ennis and Denise Lewis. Daley was controversial in his day and didn’t play the game, nor did Steve Ovett. And who cares anyway they won gold medals and broke world records. You spend your days looking for things to slap the word “racism” on ?

@@wakstar1That’s got fuck all to do with it you muppet! I loved DT when I was a kid, he was my favourite athlete and so did most of my friends. All of us are white. The sad fact is that the Decathlon although in my opinion is far superior to anything else in the games does not get anywhere near the level of interest of some other events especially the running ones. Are you honestly telling me that Usain Bolt gets under represented or praised because he’s black? They love him everywhere and they never stop raving about him. So tired of reading these bullshit anti white comments by leftist liberal fuck heads! Since DT I’ve heard fuck all about the Decathlon as an event because sadly people prefer mainly the running events. No more shit spouting please.

@@wakstar1I think it was because Daley was forthright, outspoken, and some say anti establishment. Coe on the other hand wasn't those things.
Steve Ovett also never got the recognition he deserved in comparison to Coe.

      D. PRYYNCE I guess athletes like Peter Snell and Steve Ovett must be black, if that's your theory. And from other sports, three-times Olympic gold medallists Jack Beresford, Henry Taylor, Reginald Doherty, Richard Meade, Charles Sydney Smith, they must all have been born black too. And I'm guessing Dame Kelly Holmes is white, as is Sir Bill Morris, Sir Trevor McDonald, Dame Shirley Bassey, Colin Powel (knighted, but being an American citizen can't use the title 'Sir'), Sir Sydney Poitier, and Dame Diane Abbott.
