The very first concert I ever saw was Alice on the Welcome to My Nightmare tour. I am from Toronto but this was at the Ottawa Civic center. Maybe 8000 ppl and the floor wide open. I was 14 years old. Was there with My cousin who was the same age. At one point we were sitting on the stairs of the front rows and a guy handed us a joint. 14 years old at Welcome to my Nightmare and puffing a joint. Welcome to Rock and Roll kid.
I sure hope Alice rights a whole series of books, he knows absolutely everyone in the music industry. Such a library of inside knowledge, fascinating, I could listen to him endlessly. Who would play him in a movie about his life?
CKLW was my radio station when I was a kid, it was in Windsor Ontario Canada and at night with a clear sky its signal could reach hundreds of miles in every direction and they didn't have to abide by the F.C.C. rules, very cool station.
I went to see Alice at the bottom. ...."Clones" he knows....the baret..80s' stuff..i wanted that...my hero...could only go up from there..at the end of the concert ..Alice took off his baret..and let his hair down and sang 'Eighteen"....he went UP and UP from there..his wife helped and he cleaned up his act...long live Vince Furnier.....
Wow ! my heroes..the original Alice Cooper...Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, Neil Smith, Glen Buxton...thank you Bob Ezrin for helping these guys..Vince had the song writing skills and you BOB helped him..TORONTO made Alice Cooper...and he recorded "Welcome to my Nightmare"..in Toronto with Tony Levin (Gabriel people)
i wonder if alice remembers when he fell off the stage on my friend Marty Howett ( doing security) from burnaby in van. then then they cam to edm..with the broken ribs oiler shirt..i loved the spider and we had all his albums..love you.. my middle name is alice
Alice has said in many interviews over the past month that he has finished the nightmare 2 album. And in all of the interviews he says it has been recorded for the 30th anniversary. The first came out in "75. He says this over and over in all the interviews. "75 was 36 years ago. Am I misunderstanding something. Whatever it may be, this album is sure to be incredible. I can't wait for its release. Keep On Rckin'.
I remember seeing Alice for the 1st time at the Point Edward Arena (Sarnia) with my girl...and No one was there ...Staged up with Doors and birds and wild power .. The drummer threw his broken stick and it landed right beside my girl and scared the hell out of her ... We left and and it left an impression of Holy shit , what was that So Cool Sarnia was then 50 miles North of Detroit on the canuck side Cheers Dave Webster Alberta
Kim Mitchell had to suggest the Beatles. See how that played out there. Why don't you pick a song Alice!!!, how about your drinking buddy John. Covering the chance that Vincent will request a song that they don't have. This is the Mighty Q remember. Rush, Zeppelin, Stones, Hip, Guess Who,..etc etc. Vincent might have requested Gimme Danger from Raw Power. Ooops, we don't have that. See this is a automated station now, sorry Vincent.
It's not a petty detail considering the influence and popularity of CKLW at the time and the geography. Of course, I don't believe he meant to suggest CKLW was a Toronto station.
That was the only radio station when I was a kid, cklw, the motor cityyyyyyy! They had the first woman program director in a major market, she had more influence on rock in the early days the beetle's ran to her when they had a new song. I can't seem to remember her name though.
Actually, he is. Not quite as big as Alice, but Kim Mitchell is a household name in Canada. Plenty around these quarters will tell you Max Webster is the best band Canada ever produced. At their peak in the late 70s, in Ontario they were as big as anything, including Alice. Mitchell is just too humble to boast about his past. When Alice was doing Welcome To My Nightmare at Nimbus Nine in 1974, Max Webster was in the next room doing their first demo (also produced by Bob Ezrin), and they played pinball together in their downtime.
What's a JOKE ? Alice plays a concert at the Collinwood Mansion in Dark Shadows WTF was Tim Burton thinking .. THIS MOVIE TANKS !!!! as does most of Tim Burton's CRAP
i love listening to Alice Cooper!!! I will never ever forget late night with Alice Cooper !!!
Good to hear a couple of nice guy's having a chat.
Bob Ezrin, great Canadian producer
Done a lot of amazing work, with many amazing artists
He played piano on "Beth" by Kiss...
Alice is an amazing guy...... with an amazing musical history...... and amazing TEETH! Wow!
I met John Sinclair as a teenager in at the Loft in 68, but I would rather have met Alice Cooper, such a fascinating person, he's a national treasure.

Such piercing green eyes. From the Inside album cover struck me in 1978 and the fascination continues 41 years later.
Alice and Kim girls of Rock

Alice was playing golf from day one, long before he got on the wagon. It was there all along.

Wow that's a bit of a conspiracy theory isn't it. I didn't hear a Beatles song played at the end though?
CKLW IS IN WINDSOR ONTARIO....NOT TORONTO MY MAN.....RIGHT ACROSS THE BORDER OF DETROIT !!!!

Nothing since the 70's
Note to radio presenter:
- You're not the legend!
That's true, but Mr. Cooper has way too much class to not treat him as an equal.
