So when he made “knock knock” - I fell in love with him. I thought he was going to be a pop rapper similar to that of Chiddy bang, Asher Roth and Hoodie Allen. And there’s nothing wrong with that! They are respectively talented artists.
But boy was I wrong about Mac after hearing Knock knock.
I then heard “Polo jeans” a few years later in my friends dorm room. I said “This is Mac Miller?!?!”
What I’m getting at is that after listening to blue slide park, and some other fun releases, I couldn’t believe how deep the onion really was.
Mac miller is a creative enigma capable of utterly unique lyricism and musical production.
He bends and blends genres and constantly was experimenting with his sound. Mac was versatile, eccentric and misunderstood.
I believe he was sent by a higher power to shed insight on what it means to not only live, but what it means to die.
