After a ton of research and RUclips reviews, my wife and I just ordered the Nolah Evolution 15 in California King. Comes with free pillows. Great side support, Cooling and has that great Hotel luxury mattress feel, according to reviewers. Luxury pillow top as well. Luxury Firm was our choice. Arrives in about 10 days, so we will see. Excited!!!!
Can you expand a bit in comparison specifically on Nolah Luxury firm vs the Helix Midnight Luxe? Any other thoughts or insight would be helpful. The Nolah is softer in your opinion? They are both tri zoned coils which I like. I’m a side and stomach sleeper, 6ft 200. Broader shoulders so I like shoulder pressure relief. How would you compare the pillowtops? Feel, cushion depth, etc? Thanks, great review!
Nolah Evolution 15 in the luxury firm is a tough softer than the Helix Midnight Luxe. In terms of performance, the two are extremely similar. The only major difference is Nolah Evolution has higher motion transfer...but also has better edge support, higher bounce, and better sex performance. Helix Midnight Luxe has lower motion transfer due to lower bounce, which inhibits sex to a minor degree. The pillowtops on both are extremely similar. I would say Nolah has a little more of a memory foam feel, whereas Helix is more balanced. Hard to go wrong with either choice.
Yep, you're correct. It's the Floyd. I love it. In my view, it's one of the best platform beds on the market. I initially bought one for testing mattresses in lab (because it's a solid end to end platform; IE, perfect support under ever portion of the mattress) and liked it so much I ordered one for my home as well. Both frames have been fantastic.
As was I. I expected stronger performances from the BB mattresses, but none quite rose to the level of earn a spot on this list. However, in 2024 BB redesigned several of their models, including the BB Aurora Luxe. The new Aurora Luxe is incredible and will almost certainly earn a spot on our best hybrid mattress 2025 video. First, love your vids! You should review pillows as well. I just bought the leesa legend from costco. The price was unbeatable at $1050 over its msrp of $2800. I love it, but I'm so interested in the winkbed. It looks more like what i would really love with its top vs the legends flat top. Is there a big enough difference to get the winkbed luxury firm? Thanks!

In our tests, its performance was notable better by comparison. It also just feels a bit more like a high end / luxury hotel type mattress. So if you like that feel then you'd really love Winkbed.
Debating Winkbed Luxury Firm vs Nolah Evolution 15 Luxury Firm. I believe the softer versions of these might be too soft. I'm mainly concerned with quality, durability, and feel. Focusing on back & hip pain, some reviewers have described the Nolah Luxury Firm as slightly more forgiving and pressure relieving for the average sized side-sleeper. Do you agree with that? With your personal experience of laying on both, would you say the Nolah has the same feel of support as the Winkbed when laying on side, just with slightly more give for your shoulder and hip to sink in?
I think that is a reasonable and accurate description. Nolah Evolution 15 (luxury firm) is a 5.5 firmness where 10 is most firm. Winkbed (luxury firm) is a 6. So the Nolah does have a bit more softness and pressure relief...but it is subtle. Most sleepers could be perfectly happy with either choice.

I want a softer bed with plenty of pressure relief, but I worry about impressions forming on top of the mattress. Any of these that you think might be less likely to form impressions? In your case I would go with the Bear Elite (soft version) - naplab.com/go/bear-elite-hybrid-mattress It's got a more dense top layer which will better resist sagging and body impressions, while still creating the softness you need.
Bear hybrid or AS5 hybrid? I am 5’5” at 170#. Need pressure relief…..thank you for all of your reviews. I must admit I am growing weary of all my research. OH! Or the wink soft😵💫
AS5 Hybrid is extra soft. As such, it's really only suited to side sleepers who love extra soft feel + also love feel of memory foam. It's a great feel if you like it, but it's also more polarizing. Bear Elite Hybrid is a more balanced memory foam hybrid. It's less polarizing and well liked by most sleepers. It's soft, but not extra soft (in the soft version). I would still mostly recommend the soft version only if you mostly sleep on your side. If you're 50:50 with other sleeping positions then the medium is probably the better choice. Winkbed doesn't have a memory foam feel to it. It's just more general feeling and doesn't feel strongly memory foam, traditional, or any other type of a polarizing feel. If you love and want the feel of memory foam, go Bear or AS5. If you dislike memory foam then go Winkbed.
