    Coach Julia ,
May I know what skating skills level test this is in ? Also is it allowed to start this element from a standstill vs. Forward outside turn? Thank you in advance

Coach, I need two videos, please. A coach Julia style tutorial on how to outside* edge t-stop, and also a coach Julia style tutorial on how to hockey stop. I was a on-and-off recreational skater for some few choppy years apart. Since last winter i've been putting in more consistent ice time on the weekends or when I have time off during the week.
For years i've been watching tutorials on how to hockey stop or skate backwards from almost any hockey channel you can name here on youtube. It was only until recently when I discovered coach Julia's channel. Now I'm getting the basic mechanic (not the balancing on one leg part, I feel like that might actually be advance) to skate backwards and crossing over on my strong side. I can now do the advance version of reaching with the outside leg and then sliding the left foot in front. The speed of doing them faster isn't there yet, but finally. Progress. 😭
If I were to described the type of skater I am.. I would say I'm Luis mendoza from d2 the mighty ducks. 😅 I have the need for speed but I can't stop for nothing. Only stops I have at my disposal is a regular inside edge t stop and a 'one foot doing all the work when im trying to snow plow stop with both feet'

Hi there! I actually already have tutorials for both of those! You can search them, or they are in the 'stopping' playlist.

(for the next Q&A) Why do most high-end/more professional blades have 8-foot rockers and not 7-foot rockers? Also, Coach Julia, I want to address the other figure skaters with asymmetrical feet like me and offer tips, opinions, and suggestions on overcoming or relieving their problems with their skates so they will not rely on buying a custom one if they are just starting Figure skating. Lots of Love, Coach Julia!!!!!!
I would love to see a Cantilever or a Biellmann Spin or Split Jump tutorial Coach Julia.♥🫶🏻

Having tried last week’s FPC, my biggest problem is with T stops…LOL. I hardly ever did a Left T stop and it really shows…
Past week was all spin practice. Since I got my scratch spins going, it’s been so much fun fine tuning and building up speed and power. One day I started feeling dizziness from all the spins and had to catch a breath when the safety person (former competitive figure skater) jokingly asked if I was practicing for national championships cuz I looked like it.
