This is great! I saw Layne in a three piece suit at the start of their set on Lollapolooza in 93 and it was like 95 degrees that day! Needless to say he took the jacket tie vest and shirt off after playing Would the first song to start the show! Very charismatic singer and great stage presence! His voice very unique and an unbelievable range! RIP Layne!
3:22 Note that this was 1993 and they were already overly editing/censoring music videos, as was the case here for the Rooster video. Censorship of music & the arts (especially during armed conflicts) is total sh*t.
So incredibly grateful for this...I didn't know more footage of this interview existed! Thank you so very much for uploading this gem! Also, love the goofiness of this interview!
Yes, Layne looked and sounded great! I think the interviewer liked him! She kept putting the microphone in his face first, and as if he were the only one there!
One night right about this time I listened to a live radio interview with these guys while I was driving from Texas to North Carolina. They just wanted to cut up, it got so unserious that they finally just gave up the interview. Fun times.
@@anniecroteau3598 interesting. I'd love to hear it then because I can't think of anything else besides Right Turn. Which, of course, I absolutely love.
She pronouced lollapalooza wrong , thats what layne was smiling at in beginning! She's british and he would of ! 😂😂😂 sean and layne were total RIDES!😂❤

Love seeing Layne so happy and smiling 🥰🥰🥰
He was just high on drugs or drunk or a combination of both. The way he speaks, tells me enough.
@@erwinstada1811 He was actually clean during 1993
@@TheStepmonkey Maybe clean on drugs but definitely drunk...
@@erwinstada1811Also looks like he appreciates the interviewer😆
@@erwinstada1811whatever he was on - it was nice to see him and the rest of the guys happy ❤
Layne's big smile at 8:14. Love it.
Layne looked so healthy at this point in time. His loss will pain me for life as his lyrics mean so much in my life.

Is there any video of that?
@@kstiff09...I have not found one, only the Soundcheck version. If it exists, I wish someone would let us know.

He's too sweet
Awesome video. Love seeing more new footage. This is much longer than the one someone else has on youtube.
Wow never heard of Jerry recording with Chris in 93.
They may be talking about the song Right Turn which also features Layne.
@@ibrown3KC "Right Turn" was already recorded at the time. It appears on the EP "Sap" released in 1992. It must have been new songs

Damn it I love Layne’s sunglasses I’ve been looking for a pair like those
This is right around the time they went to the water park in New Jersey with ricky rachetman. Laynes the man
Layne so cool
Amazing how healthy Layne looks considering just 2 years later he would be looking so sick and frail during the promotion of Alice in Chains
Lol...I love this! Still loving Layne forever....! Where's Jerry?

Anyone know if the Cantrell Cornell song ever saw the light of day?
Right turn-Alice in chains
oh ? this is year 1993 and i always wonder why Nirvana never play at Lollapalloza...and its covered by MTV. Can anyone tell me why?
I really wish I could hear that Jerry & Chris collab
Thanks for keeping Mike Inez out of the shot- LAME!
Mike Inez seems like a young Obama who side gig is playing bass with Alice in Chains
Anch'io adoro vederlo così. Ciao Layne ❤️🌹🌟🎸
I thought they canceled Metallica tour because of Layne's drug problems?
They did
They cancelled in 1994 because of Layne's issues. In 1993, they cancelled because of the recording of the Last Hero movie songs
🤘🏻🤘🏻
they're so silly
Did Sean learn to swim since then?
Probably not
