how slick and good does the slide feel compared to the kp-05 for example? I have very clear memories of the kjw to be INCREDIBLY satisfying how does this one compare?
Well as far as for the KP-05, I never owned one. However, my friend did have one back in the days and I remember that it felt pretty good shooting it, all though a little bit more on the "sluggish" side when paired with green gas mags. The stock recoil spring on some of KJW's pistols tend to be pretty soft in order to cycle the slide when shooting with either systems - Green gas and Co2. This results in making them feel a little bit more "sluggish". A lot of stock "all-metal" Hi-capa's out there tend to feel this way though. That said, the slide on the R604 feels a bit lighter, due to the aluminium slide - making It feel pretty smooth when you rack it, less so when you shoot it though. You can still feel that there's some lack of that "snappy" feeling. It feels smooth though, it really does. All in all compared to the KP-05, I think that the R604 should feel somewhat similar whilst shooting it, maybe a little bit smoother when racking the slide though. It's hard to say when I can't compare them both, side by side.
@@IGWTAirsoftSweden like, the kp05 (co2 one too) felt really like it was FILLED with butter yknow what I mean? Cuz it was Soo smooth I have the r608 and it really doesn't feel as good, feels like metal against metal, it feels "sharp" and not "round" yknow what I mean?
Will the two piece type (threaded) recoil guide rod fit in this unit? i notice you put some white tape on your inner barrel...what improvement does it do to the unit?.....Thanks.
Hey! I don't know if the two-piece recoil guide would fit, sadly I do not longer have this replica and can therefore not try this out. About that white tape, I put some of that on there to absorb vibrations, which could sometimes unscrew the pieces a little bit. It's not by any means necessary though. You'd be fine without it. 😊
Hey man I was as careful I could have been and I stripped the screws on the plate. Any ideas on how I can get these cheap A$$ screws out so I can install my rmr?
Yikes, sorry to hear that man! How bad is it? Sometimes a piece of tape on the tip of the allenkey works, to make it a bit thicker. But if it's too messed up, you could try to drill in to the screw to breake it. Or you could try to grease it with some WD 50 or something to loosen it up.
@@IGWTAirsoftSweden Thanks yeah its pretty bad the screws are super cheap aluminum. I ended up having to take it to a gun smith. I was not happy because installing the rmr plate ended up voiding my warranty. If I would have known that I would had the airsoft shop install it.
Hey there! I have a two-way opinion about that pistol. Firstly, I think it's good value for the money, but like with everything cheap, you have to be prepared to replace some parts eventually. Second, I think it's great If you're looking for a cool platform to upgrade. If you want a gun that is going to last as it is, then no, it's not worth it in my own opinion/experience. Overall I'd say it should come down to wether you want it or not, and or/if it's worth your money.
@@Basketball13Sam No problem mate! Well I did notice that the internals, such as inner barrel, hop up unit, bucking, hammer /hammer-housing and it's working parts, grip, hammer spring (the one inside the grip) is compatible, I did try swaping some of these parts out to see if it was indeed compatible (all though I tried this some time after I already recorded the video. The only thing that I couldn't find as a replacement part to the existing slide/compensator was a different outer barrel, that acctually fits the slide and compensator. You can however swap out the outer barrel and the slide for other TM compatible slides and TM compatible aftermarket brands. All though, you might need to sand it down a bit due to the tight fit that the original slide has. I wouldn't recommend replacing it though, the stock slide is quite nice to be honest.
Well it depends on the temperature and the rate of fire you put it through, mostly. If you rapid fired, I'd say that's pretty good. If you were shooting at a "normal" fire rate then I'd say, yeah it's normal for this replica. It's not very gas efficient, sadly. 😊
Thanks for the great review. Decided to get the same gun because of it. However, I'm also experiencing issues with gas leaking out of the magazine. I was wondering which O rings you replaced since there are several different ones found in the magazine and I've had no luck with replacing it. Also, did you end up having to lubricate it with silicone gas aswell? Thanks
Hey, thanks man! Well I believe that I changed the gas fill o-ring, the one on the bottom of the magazine, where you fill it up with gas. In your case you'd have to find where it's leaking, you could dip the magazine in water to see if there are any bubbles leaking out of the mag. This way you'd be able to see very quickly where it's leaking.
Hey! I'd say it's as durable as it gets for that price tag. That said though, I will have to say that some of the externals are pretty cheap and fragile. The hammer on my replica broke, as you can see in the video. However, the slide and lower is more durable, since it's made out of decent aluminium.
Internally most parts should be compatible with TM standards, externally not so much - since this replica uses a custom upper and outer barrel. You could probably replace the entire upper for another TM upper. This means slide, barrel etc, allthough I can't say that for sure, I never tried that out myself. I hope this helped you out a bit!
The recoil feels alright, not as snappy as I would like it to be. Not sure how much you can expect from a cheap replica, but it does alright for it's price. To be completely honest, since I sold the replica, I can't tell for sure ifeverything is compatible. Never tried to change the blowback unit mostly because it has custom holes in it to ensure the red dot mount/plate. I'd say you probably could swap out the nozzle and it's internal parts, but not the actual housing. Everything inside the trigger unit is compatible, trigger, hammer etc is compatible. Outer barrel is custom, therefore I'm pretty sure you would have to swap out the upper completely if you want to use an other outer barrel. 😊
I'd say it's about avarage. Some of the footage towads the end, you can see there's some paint scratched off, mostly at the front, due to holstering it back and forth. Overall, alright quality.
Army armament are great for the price I just picked up a hard case for mine today.

Hi mate, how does that amomax holster fit the gun, having issues with finding one that’ll suit the raise front pillar site
Hellu! It fits great! You can adjust the width of the holster, so it can fit most guns on the market.

I did not try using mags from other manufacturers, unfortunally. I researched some information about the compatibility about it though.
