I’ve only gotten a relaxer at a salon once in my life. I’ve been relaxing my own hair since I left home for college, and before that my mom did it. You can do this, ladies! RUclips University has all the answers you’re looking for! 😁
@Life of Davy omg same here. My mom always did mine and will still do it if I'm over her house. But I have been doing it myself ever since I left for college. The one time I did go to a salon, while still living with my mom, it an ok experience, but I will not do it again. I understand for some it can seem scary, but it's not bad at all. We can do this!!
Hi, I’m a stylist, after you wash your hair with a neutralizing shampoo, then wash once or twice with a good professional moisturizing shampoo before conditioner
wells328 Which professional shampoo do you suggest? I’ve been looking for a great moisturizing shampoo for relaxed hair. Would love a stylist’s recommendation.
I LOVE how your hair turned out. But what i absolutely love the most about this video is your feeling of pride in yourself that you actually did it! When you talked about cutting your own hair, I immediately got the sense that you thought you wouldnt do a good job with the whole relaxer process. but you gave it a shot and the result is nothing but spectacular. I dont know. It just gave me a good feeling. Thank you for sharing ❤
Koboko Fitness Omg. I know this is an overreaction, but I cried when I read your comment. Me doubting myself would extend to all parts of my life, but I cut that sh*t out when I turned 40. I stopped being afraid to try things and stopped relying on others so heavily. And the result? Great self-confidence, self-worth...and a trust in myself that I didn’t know I had. That you soooo much for your kind comment. xoxoxo
What I find works for me is to pre section the hair and put it in loose twists. This will reduce the time you would have spent parting your hair during the process.
I just did my first at home relaxer and I'm almost embarrassed at how good it turned out! Wondering whether I should have done this sooner. But then again afraid of getting cocky and messy up next time 😩😭
These comments really surprised me...I thought just about everyone relaxed their own hair...I been relaxing my own hair since I was a teenager never had it done professionally
You did a great job, and your hair looks fantastic. I use the same relaxer and have been self-relaxing for over 30 years. I pitched the gloves a long time ago, and my fingerprints are still intact. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Sonia Stovall Wow!! I’ve only seen one person on RUclips that self-relaxes without gloves. I already have eczema, so I keep mine on until the first rinse. But you’re right. When you’re so accustomed to a process, you just breeze through it.
Sonia Stovall Sonia - your comment - omg. A wave of relief washed over me. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who did that! Lol. I was panicked! And yes - my fingers are still intact! Lol. Thank you so much for your kind words!
You did a really good job!!! Investing in a tri-fold mirror can make relaxing the back easier. Even if you don’t use it to self relax it helps with parting, and even product distribution because you can see your whole head. To make the relaxer leave your hair faster after the initial rinse you can use regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Usually after the first rinse with the vinegar you would only need to neutralize with the shampoo once or twice. There pink color indicator is usually gone after the first rinse. Great video!
This came right on time. Relaxing in 2 weeks, after stretching for 4 months. I have breakage and my hair is stressed. Can’t wait any longer to get to a salon.

You did a great job! Your hair looks so healthy and I love the cut! I started using the Olaplex because of you and I must say Thank You! Definitely a game changer!
Thank you for sharing this. I have been stressing about my relaxed hair. After watching you describe your experience I decided to be a big girl too. My last relaxer was was done professionally 6 months ago in January. I normally stretch relaxers for 12-14 weeks. Then I was ill and Covid happened preventing a salon visit. I relaxed my own hair today for the first time in over 25 years. Thanks to you being so open and sharing your true experience, I gained confidence in myself. It came out beautifully. I used the Just for Me relaxer normal strength and I purchased 2 because of the amount of regrowth. I am very pleased with the relaxer and my results. I appreciate your videos.🥰
This was super helpful. I'm so thankful my cousin does hair so I went to her house to get my relaxer done a few weeks ago but I have been curious about doing my own for some time
Let your cousin keep doing it as long as you can. This way you don't overlap onto hair that doesn't need it. It's hard to determine when your doing it on your own...especially the back. As well you get it in & get it out. Blessings
Great job! Fantastic results! Your hair looks healthy and shiny! I'm still terrified to do my own relaxer though because of the fear of overlapping the back. Girl, you are a soldier for applying relaxer with your bare hands! I'm surprised it didn't remove your fingerprints. Lol.
Ahhhh!! You literally read my mind! I'm almost 6 months post, been relaxed at a salon all my life and this week I really am thinking about grabbing that box at the store. Thank you for the tips!
Just remember your hair is use to the product your stylist uses. You don't want to use different relaxers it has the potential to damage. Just be mindful. Blessings

Welcome to the world of relaxing at home! I have a medicine cabinet that is perpendicular to the mirror over my sink. I open the door until I can see my reflection from the big mirror in the medicine cabinet mirror. I can't see the entire back but I can see how I'm sectioning my hair. After the relaxer is all in, I just smooth by the feel of where I'm touching my head. Been doing this for probably 30 years so I'm comfortable with the process. I will eventually remodel my bathroom but a cabinet might have to stay on that wall for this very reason...dated but it's a necessity on relaxer day!
Karen Conquest This is BRILLIANT, Karen! Thank you for this tip! We are actually looking to install a medicine cabinet. I hate that they don’t include them in new homes.
Yes! In NYC, most of us have mirrored medicine cabinets in the bathroom. I use the medicine cabinet mirror and open it so I can angle it towards a mirror on the wall. I can see the entire back of my head. Works great for sectioning the back of my hair.
You did an amazing job! I used to do home relaxing but always struggled with the back leading to major breakage. The mirror things like you drove me mad, as I just couldn't help over lapping. Currently I'm trying not to be tempted to relax at home, but who know how desperate I will get if lockdown is not lifted soon. xxx ❤
I'm tired of paying 60 euros to get my hair relaxed at the salon, when I can just buy the same product she uses for 15 euros. Will give it a try, thank you for the tips!
I love this! I've worn a relaxer for 20 years and always a salon. Every single time, I'm like, I can do this. Then all of the positive comments cheering us on! I'm doing it! Thanks everyone!!!
Told you you could do it!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I do the comb method, too, for control. For the back, you have to feel for where the new growth is. Parting won’t be perfect, but the trick is to make small rows and keep smoothing product in. This looks great, especially with the fresh cut. ❤️
So I had like 4 inches growth and just did this at home but freaked out mid process and washed my hair too early I guess so my hair didn't end up super straight, but at least it's less frizzy and the Olaplex, omg it's a wonder! I have fine hair and it looks strong and I didn't shed much. Thank you for the tips 😃
ORS Relaxer is great. I pretty much use the ORS line for my hair. I been a self relaxer from my teens so I'm very confident with applying it. Your hair looks beautiful. Well done😀👌
This is the best brand for relaxed hair as far a I'm concerned. I used to use the Extra strength because of my kinky hair. For a first time, you did and amazing job!! Gloria would be proud of you 😊
Wow thank you for sharing. I self relaxed just last night and had similar issues. Panicked a few times, also ditched the glove. I feel like I over processed my edges. They didn't burn or anything, just looking thin. I'm glad it's done. No more mixed textures...my last relaxer was in December 😅
S A That’s amazing - the stretch! Did you gain a lot of length?? Sorry about the edges. Consider massaging a little Haitian or Jamaican black castor oil into them. Try not to get the oil on your forehead. It will cause breakouts
So happy this experience turned out so well for you...I let my sister relax my hair but now will do extra shampoos, protect relaxed bits and buy the olaplex. Thanks again for sharing!!!
Grease is the best to prevent overprocessing your hair. Lol I guess Blue Magic has the same consistency as Vaseline petroleum jelly, which is what I use. #GreatTips ✨👌
I’ve only had my hair professionally relaxed once and they charged $120 with semi permanent color. I vowed never again- although the results were fabulous. I need help on my technique though so I’ll be practicing with conditioner before my next touchup.
I pay $86.00 + tip of $20.00 for a touch up. The hairdresser could be overheard tearing/ripping out my tangled hair in the sink with a comb, while she washed out the relaxer! When done, my hair was extremely thinned out and flat as a pancake! I'm returning to self-relaxing next go. Can't take the hair abuse from these Black hairdressers. They are uncaring and will not hesitate to rip out your hair when relying on them to do what you can actually do for yourself. 😥😡
I love LOVE watching your videos YOU done an AMAZING job ..and I know for a FACT BECAUSE I HAVE HAD MY OWN BEAUTY SHOP SINCE 1979 AND I KNOW A GREAT RETOUCH WHEN I SEE IT AND YOU DONE A GREAT CUT ... LOVE YA ... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
Thank you for being so detailed! Your results are amazing! I plan to self relax in a month or so with the Affirm relaxer and will definitely use this for reference.
I see new growth. Lots of it on top. You are touching the new growth all during the video. That's why I stay natural and roller set or flat iron. I'm scared to under process😬 Relaxed people have to buy sooo much stuff to keep their hair from falling out.
I definitely have relaxed my own hair with my bare hands. I know it is not advised but after the relaxer when I rinse it out and shampoo the hair, I put the deep conditioner in and while that is sitting for 1/2 and hour, I am soaking my hands in warm oil. So yes, the hands had the chemical on the finger tips for 8 minutes but eventually, I let my hands sit in oil while I am sitting with the deep conditioner on my hair.
Leezah Smiles Brilliant! My hand is very dry now. Lol! I washed it with neutralizer and then just slathered on tons of cream. Lol. Thanks for this tip!
Great job Dominique! Your hair looks beautiful and healthy. I am so happy you made a video about relaxing your hair at home. I don’t have choice than relaxing my hair and I always try to find some tips on RUclips. So getting some advice from you on this matter, it’s fantastic for me! This is one positive thing from covid. 😃
Your hair always look great, I'm 4 months and def in need of a relaxer, so I really appreciate your detailed sharing of your home relaxer day. Thank you.
I am six months post and you motivated to try doing my own hair. I purchased the same relaxer you used and I would give it my best shot today. I am in NYC and would not be going to a hair dresser any time soon. Thanks
I struggled with the crown of my hair. My mom said it turned out fine. I was anxious about trying it again. But I’ll give it another especially since we don’t know how long this quarantine will last. Thanks for the tips.
I have been using that that exact perm for years now (alternating with dark n lovely whichever one is not sold out lol), and I do it myself at home always(over 10 years), hair is almost in the middle of my back from shaving it). I just find in Ottawa the price is crazy high to have it done at the salon, and I use to work at one for over 4 years so I’m confident! Haha you did a great job. I love the colour cue shampoo, bc sometimes I get lazy lol what I do to start though is rinse rinse rinse like crazy, let the water do most of the work, then go in with the shampoo. Helps so much. But you did really well for your first time 👌
I applaud u I had serious regrowth I bought a relaxer but cannot bring myself 2 do it as I'm worried I wont do the back properly I've never retouch my hair myself before.
Hi Dominique! You did a great job. This came right on time! My olaplex got delivered this week (ordered it after seeing your old reviews) and I’ve been sitting on my ORS box relaxer kit for nearly a month now. I’ve watched other at home relaxer tutorials and none of them had the post relaxer hair care tips that you provided. The last tome I tried relaxing my own hair, I wasn’t too successful. My hair was under processed. Thank you for the tips ☺️ I now feel so much more confident to try this again.
Lynette Vidal You can do it! I kinda wish I got my husband to help me with the back, but he was like “NO WAY”. Lol. Trust me - if I can do it, you can do it.
Teally enjoyed the video. I pray, bathe in vaseline, and pre-treat my hair and then go for it. It is a high anxiety time but so far so good. Saving too. 👍🏽
You did it! And, your hair looks healthy and has a great sheen. I like the idea of putting Blue Magic on the bottom half of your hair to prevent relaxer run-off damage. I am going to touch up my new growth...off to find the products. Thanks for the inspiration!
I've decided to try relaxing my hair for the first time I normally go to the salon and use biolage relaxer no lye and products. So willing to try the orx relaxer no lye. I use paul mitchell skinny balm. Thanks so much for this video.
Nisa 813 Blown away by the Styler. Love that it doesn’t get too hot, yet makes hair silky smooth. I admit - I cut my hair badly. Glad you aren’t here to see it up close. Lol! Very uneven. And I’m so thrilled at the relaxer results! Can’t believe I actually did it!
I do my own relaxer now! For about a year and a half. My mum used to do it before for about 10 years maybe, but my hair was always over processed and it didnt grow past my shoulders. My mum was the "tell me when it starts burning" type.... haha safe to say she doesnt relax my hair anymore, shes really old school I guess. Anyway relaxing it myself I've really started retaining a lot of length. It really helps to stretch your relaxer, I now stretch mine for 6 months, with the help of wigs and sometimes braids, but mostly wigs, especially during the last 3 months of the stretch when it gets harder to deal with the new growth. Keeping it in canerows and washing and deep conditioning while in canerows really help! Currently dealing with protein overload. I only did protein treatments on my hair biweekly for about a year and a half straight because I knew protein was good for hair... didnt know you could get protein overload though! I never did any moisture treatments or clarifying at all! Luckily it didnt break as much as my hair is mostly in braids (for wigs) for long periods of time. My hair has grown a lot in the past year and a half though despite the set back, but I cut off around 2-3 inches recently because my hair has been uneven all my life and I've had enough, the extra breakage from recent protein overload also didnt help. It's currently just past shoulder length, hoping to get it down to mid back/waist length withings 3 years! P.s I'm joining your facebook group! Would love to share tips and learn from others, you're one of the first people I started watching when I started learning about healthy hair :) x
Thank you for sharing! Totally understand your angst. I'm totally procrastinating about buying relaxer supplies to do my relaxer for the first time, too. 2 questions? What relaxer does Gloria use on your hair? And I hate to ask this, but would you consider doing a video on how you trimmed your hair? You are my hero for self-relaxing AND trimming!
salsareginaclemente Hi lovely! Gloria uses Silk Elements Regular Relaxer with Argan Oil. I wanted to get that one, but it was o my available online and at beauty supply stores (which are closed). I think the ORS was amazing. I will show you guys how I cut it but it’s such a bad example. Lol! Know that my hair is pretty uneven. Lol
@@StyleDomination It doesn't look uneven to me...it looks great. Bravo on both jobs. I put some relaxer supplies in my cart on Amazon. The next step will be to actually buy them! One step at a time... :)
Your hair looks awesome! I've been perming my hair with ORS for years because when others did, I burned bad!! And I too hate those bristle perm brushes! I hadn't relaxed it since December 2019 so my new growth was REAL and I didn't want it to break too bad...I just relaxed it a week ago and we're wearing our hair the same, lol!! Oh...and those gloves...I never wear them because I need to be able to really get to my hair and I have manicure nails, white but it doesn't mess my nails up, lol! Great job and I love your videos! 💜🌼😍
Your hair came out great. I like to leave the neutralizer on for about 5 min before I rinse it out and do it about three times and it really helps to avoid over processing and gets the relaxer out pretty well. I do love me some olaplex as well! And I adore that shea moisture leave in. I tried the it’s a 10 leave in conditioner. Apparently the SM is comparable and honestly I prefered SM instead and it’s cheaper. You did great girl. Can you give tips on how you cut your hair?
Carlen Ledain That’s a great tip! Leaving the neutralizer on for 5 mins! Omg. At this point, I cannot give you any good hair cutting techniques. I literally separated my hair into two sections, brought it in front of my shoulders and chopped it off. Lol. It’s pretty uneven. 😫
You did and awesome job relaxing your hair for the first time! ❤ how Silky & shiny your hair is! I self relaxed my hair and go to the salon once in a blue moon. Also, I'm going to leave the neutralizing shampoo on longer before washing it out that someone suggested to do in the comments. Good tip so you won't have to wash your hair so much. I use serums to on flatiron hair. Serums to me work alot better than oil. Do you use a heat protectant?
Your hair looks amazing!! I am going to get those serums. I have used that same ORS New Growth relaxer on myself but didn't have the serums you used. Also my hair isn't all one length and the hair in the center of my head is so hard to get straight. I did it from home in early March. I bought it at my local Walmart. How do you protect your hair when you go to bed? Will you wrap it, wear a silk cap, or just sleep on a silk pillow case?
Girl I was tempted but I am afraid to mess with chemicals. This is the longest I have stretched in my life. I am at 15 weeks. I normally only go to 10 weeks. Thank God Texas is open now as far as hair salons. I finally am going next Saturday for my retouch. I am not certain I could wait any longer and I am just tired of my hair now and sick of wearing a bunch with puffy edges.
Good Video. Honestly I stopped watching your videos because your hair was thin and see thru. I scrolled down and saw your hair and was like okaaaaaay.... Let me see what she done did... Really looks good.... Nice, thick and healthy...
Ladies I have not relaxed my hair for 2 years now and have been managing because I have it washed and blow-dry at the salon. With lockdown it's been Super challenging for me to maintain and so I have been thinking about relaxing at home But im So scared because my scalp is very sensitive and i just cant bring myself to go through the scalp burn and breakage. On the positive side I am slowly learning to manage my hair so let's see what happens.....sending love and hugs from South Africa 🇿🇦
I've never relaxed my own hair and admit that I'm frightened to do so. But hey my hair is now totally unmanageable and my roots are invasive. You're video is giving me assurance that I can overcome my fears and hopefully I'll try it this weekend.
You did a great job Dom😄. BUT, don't use your bare hands to apply the relaxer!. If you need to use ur hands, use the black gloves used when colouring your hair. I find the gloves in the kit are a "one size fits all", which are generally too big for most people. You are right about the black brush often used to apply relaxer, I find it can irritate the scalp, hence the 'burning'. I tell ya, this quarantine has got us learning some new skills! I've never baked so much in my life🤣. Your hair looks great. Love the tips on the products🤗.
Nathalia Dennis - Priganica Hahaha! Nathalia - RIGHT!? Trust me - I won’t go bare hands again. I found some thick black blogs that are smaller and more “tactile”. I’ll use them next time. You know what did burn though? My face. I guess the combo of relaxer running down my face and neutralizing shampoo in the shower made my facial skin very sore. I’m such a noob. Lol
@@StyleDomination I've been there myself. It's's a black girl right of passage, I guess🙃. Just put a little polysporen on the sore spots, I'll heal in no time. You hair looks great and you already have the care part down anyway. Take care and stay safe. 🤗. Happy Sunday!
Thanks so much for your videos. Are all heat protectant sprays protein-based? If not, can you recommend a heat defence spray for protein damaged hair please? Thank you, Gloria
Matador do some nice hairdressing gloves they fit much better than standard latex gloves, but you have to measure your hand ✋ to ensure you get the right size.
Your hair looks very lovely Sleek smooth and shiny. I haven't been through these salons to get a relaxer maybe for years now I have two daughters that does my relaxer for me here at home or I go to their house but I don't get a relaxer I believe on the sex if I'm not mistaken I know it's the first Saturday in June :-) if I can't get it done that first Saturday then I can wait till the next weekend I have stretch 19 weeks before and my hair was fine :-) thank you ever so kindly for sharing this God bless you🙏💕

NCA So good. Will stretch for a long period again. My hair looks very healthy. Edges intact.
I perm every 6 months to allow my hair to grow and strengthen before a perm. I wear wigs when going outdoors.
The best thing to use to protect your ends during relaxer is Roux porosity control. It keeps the pH level consistent.

There’s nothing wrong with how you chose to live your life. Yes I save more money than I spend, but I do sometimes want a vacation after a stressful week. I’m always doing everything myself , and sometimes I’m tired of being in charge.
I always rinse in cold water, It closes the cuticle and your hair comes out nice and soft
Thanks for the tip on Blue Magic on the ends of hair to protect it, awesome tip!
You did an amazing job! I used to do home relaxing but always struggled with the back leading to major breakage. The mirror things like you drove me mad, as I just couldn't help over lapping. Currently I'm trying not to be tempted to relax at home, but who know how desperate I will get if lockdown is not lifted soon. xxx ❤
When I can't go to the hair salon my mom usually does it but I want to learn to do it myself.
How was it?
Told you you could do it!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I do the comb method, too, for control. For the back, you have to feel for where the new growth is. Parting won’t be perfect, but the trick is to make small rows and keep smoothing product in. This looks great, especially with the fresh cut. ❤️
Ebony Rivers Hahaha! “Always listen to Ebony”. Thank you so much, luv. Thanks for your tips. Thinking of doing it myself next time! Lol
You have really great results!
Thank you, Britaney! I am so happy!
Gloria would be proud of you 😊
dorcas glaydor Awww Dorcas! Your comment made me smile. I’m a little afraid to show Gloria. Lol
@@StyleDomination yes lots of length. Next is doing a trim on my own 🙈
So happy this experience turned out so well for you...I let my sister relax my hair but now will do extra shampoos, protect relaxed bits and buy the olaplex. Thanks again for sharing!!!
Grease is the best to prevent overprocessing your hair. Lol I guess Blue Magic has the same consistency as Vaseline petroleum jelly, which is what I use. #GreatTips ✨👌
Grease doesn’t prevent the relaxer from working when I overlap. I’m going to try beeswax next time
I’ve only had my hair professionally relaxed once and they charged $120 with semi permanent color.
You did a great job. I know you loved the feeling of independence.
Cassandra Lane-Moore Cassandra - EXACTLY. I felt immensely proud of myself!!!
LOVE YA ... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
OH MY! Debbie - thank you so much!! This means so much! xoxoxoxox
Looks amazing!
Thank you.
Annette Williams You’re welcome!
I do agree with you. The Shampoo isn't enough when you have à lot of hair. Thx for the video. love from Belgium
Great job. Your hair looks amazing! I’ll need a relaxer in three weeks and will start practicing with conditioner now.
Collette Hicks Excellent, Collette! Let us know how it goes!
NOW, that is ALL kind of brave!
Right? LOL
i remember i did my own virgin relaxer and i did 18 mins and i still looked like i had natural hair 😂
Bindi Marc Omgggg! Lol! Your hair looks lovely though
Your hair looks so healthy and shiny, love it! Great tips too, thank you!!
She just knocked on her head “Knock on wood “ ??? I have questions 😂😂😂😂😂😂cute tho cute 😍😍
I'm about to self relax too. I've ordered a good quality relaxer and I really want to do it but I'm nervous.
But you did really well for your first time 👌
Latesha Odetola Hi Latesha! Love seeing a fellow Ottawan here! Thank so much for this! I feel if I had more practice, I could get really good at this!
Style Domination trust me, I believe in you! ❤️ it gets easier the more you try.
Latesha Odetola I’m so grateful for all of you. You’re all so supportive!
You achieved beautiful results having done it for the first time on your own. #inspired!
Your hair looks great!
Your hair looks amazing and this video is tempting me to do my own relaxer 😆
Lynette Vidal You can do it! I kinda wish I got my husband to help me with the back, but he was like “NO WAY”. Lol. Trust me - if I can do it, you can do it.
Thank you.. I followed your advice and tips today and I'm loving the results so far.
Thank you x Thank you
Teally enjoyed the video. I pray, bathe in vaseline, and pre-treat my hair and then go for it. It is a high anxiety time but so far so good. Saving too. 👍🏽
Your hair is so shiny & beautiful 🌹 I think relaxing at home is awesome because I know which areas are more coarse & need TLC💁🏽♀️
Your relax results look awesome. I too cut some inches off my hair and can promise that the GHD flatiron is a great flatiron to purchase.
Beautiful results!
I know the struggle girl I do my own relaxers all the time but you did a good jump for the first time
Your hair looks gorgeous!!!! Doing mine next week !
Looks really good. Great job!
I've used Soft&Beautiful Botanicals sensitive scalp relaxer it did the job during my relaxed days
Thank you for sharing this with us and your hair looks amazing. I will definitely practise with conditioner from now on x
U did good...ur hair looks great😍❗
Looks like I will be doing the same real soon. Hair looks great. Good job
Your hair looks so light weight and full!
What do you use?
@@StyleDomination Was your hair wet or dry when you trimmed it?
Style Domination well the cut looks great ❤️
salsareginaclemente It was dry...
@@StyleDomination Thanks!
Proud of you!
goBpink Thank you SO MUCH!
Your hair looks great girl!!! The ORS is the best brand relaxers for at home treatments...!!
MiSsV117 I’m a believer. The ORS stuff is GOOD. Have you tried their Glossing Polisher??
You did and awesome job relaxing your hair for the first time! ❤ how Silky & shiny your hair is! I self relaxed my hair and go to the salon once in a blue moon. Also, I'm going to leave the neutralizing shampoo on longer before washing it out that someone suggested to do in the comments. Good tip so you won't have to wash your hair so much. I use serums to on flatiron hair. Serums to me work alot better than oil. Do you use a heat protectant?
YES! Don't use any oils before flat ironing...similar to frying you hair! I sometimes use Tresemme Heat Protectant or Redken Anti-Snap...
Hi Kate! I usually moisturize and seal my hair, put it in a loose twist and wrap with a satin scarf...and then I go to bed on my silk pillow case. ;o)
Your hair looks great. Love your channel.Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful results. Did you experience any shedding?
Nic O Definitely experiences shedding, but not as much as I expected. For stretching for 12-13 weeks, the shedding was minimal.
Great results and lovely cut 💁🏽♀️✨
✩ Ceci Vanessa ✩ Thank you!
Olaplex to the rescue! 🎉💞🎁 You a great job! Relaxing the back is always fear inspiring.
im going through this now! i think ill do this tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your videos. Are all heat protectant sprays protein-based? If not, can you recommend a heat defence spray for protein damaged hair please?
Thank you,
Gloria
Very courageous; I will have to watch this many times to absorb this. Congrats to you! How many weeks did you stretch.
Livy Soldana Hi Livy! I stretched for 12weeks! Record for me.
Awesomeness!!!!!!!!
Matador do some nice hairdressing gloves they fit much better than standard latex gloves, but you have to measure your hand ✋ to ensure you get the right size.
Great job
Your hair looks very lovely Sleek smooth and shiny.
I haven't been through these salons to get a relaxer maybe for years now I have two daughters that does my relaxer for me here at home or I go to their house but I don't get a relaxer I believe on the sex if I'm not mistaken I know it's the first Saturday in June :-) if I can't get it done that first Saturday then I can wait till the next weekend I have stretch 19 weeks before and my hair was fine :-) thank you ever so kindly for sharing this God bless you🙏💕
That's amazing, Sapphire! I bet you gained some real length! Yeah - we expect our salons to open in the next couple of weeks too.
