True. Plus Linda's mother would be pleased since she had tried to introduce a new protein (tuna) while Bob was on a personal growth voyage in the crawlspace. Looks like he's truly evolving 😜
Loved watching this episode. I got to see Barry flex his 'famous pals' muscles, saw an interesting sammich, and heard one of the all-time best book titles - Uses and Preparation of Maine Sardines, America's all-round Seafood
It's hard to imagine vacation guest week is going to improve from here. This was glorious. Though you gotta work on the lingo, H. Jon. You didn't even say that the arugula had a "peppery bite." Everybody knows that the arugula has a "peppery bite." It's the first mistake you've made in your entire career, but I know you can learn from this.
Loved this - the sandwich, the intro, and especially the fact that you, Barry, gave such a huge opportunity to an unknown RUclipsr to appear on your channel ;)
So cool that, despite your channel being "small," you can get Bob freaking Belcher on here. Now if only you could get John Dimaggio, a.k.a. Bender, too. That would be epic.
I'm definitely not a fan of strong fishy flavors, but I'd... maybe give it a tiny bite, since he said it was fairly mellow. Also, cool to see H. Jon Benjamin. Thats great.
It looks like you are using a variant on the Welsh Rarebit. The real thing would use a splash of beer or ale in the cheese sauce (which you may not care for) and is popped into the broiler to brown after being put on the toast (whcih you may care to try).
I really do like sardines, at least until the first burp an hour later. Try to stay away from anything carbonated when eating the little fishes. I think a raw onion, soy sauce, a few anchovies mixed in or the picante sauce would all be a nice plus up, but rarebit? Maybe a good vinegar? Anyway at least until the first burp... I really do like those little fishes, until, well you know.
Perhaps it's not to out of the norm as I really like smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers and red onion raw and caramelized mixed together and I have done this with these little fishes as well with a few dashes of liquid smoke on rye bread. Num, num...
That was pretty good. H Jon is the best. Id probably deviate a little bit from the recipe and add a little less cheese to the bechemel. I love quality sardines so Id likely enjoy this sandwich.
It's Ben from Dr Katz!
If you close your eyes it's just Bob being bummed out it's not a burger.
Happy to see Coach McGuirk got his life together!
Coach McGuirk was like a father to me. That probably explains why I turned out the way I did.
Man, I was not expecting this addition to Sandwich Team Go!
He'll be back. No one can resist the call.
Such a delight to see a burger guy come on down to the fish side!
True. Plus Linda's mother would be pleased since she had tried to introduce a new protein (tuna) while Bob was on a personal growth voyage in the crawlspace. Looks like he's truly evolving 😜
What a solid channel never letting the fans down, the love for sandwiches stretches far and wide.
Seeing H. Jon Benjamin’s well-loved tile countertop makes me like him even more
Holy shit, I’m a longtime subscriber and it’s almost surreal to see the channel being this legit
He will always be Mothmonsterman from Aqua Teen or Coach McGuirk from Home Movies to me.😂 Maybe even Ben from Dr. Katz.
Loved watching this episode. I got to see Barry flex his 'famous pals' muscles, saw an interesting sammich, and heard one of the all-time best book titles - Uses and Preparation of Maine Sardines, America's all-round Seafood

You really got famed jazz pianist H. Jon Benjamin on the show?? Undeniably a great guest, a solid plus up choice 👏
Loved this - the sandwich, the intro, and especially the fact that you, Barry, gave such a huge opportunity to an unknown RUclipsr to appear on your channel ;)
Actually insane collab, can't believe he's a fan of the show. I adore the Wet Hot American Summer franchise
I can't believe it either tbh
I knew only the finest folks partook in this channel
This was EPIC I also enjoy him on Family Guy as the convenience store clerk, Carl!
"The canned get enough of this channel burger" (comes with canned sardines and no burger)
What a surprise. Great guest host to start off your vacation. Enjoy the downtime!
I want that guy to make me a burger for some reason...
Have your tried Bob's Burger?
man actually got Archer to make a sandwich video for him
amazing
This has absolutely become one of my favorite daily rituals
"Hey, My Swords are worth more than all these foods combined."
Layers upon layers of humor. Barry, I'm dyin' here. This is going to take a while to recover. I HATE YOU! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
H. Jon Benjamin's a treasure, bless however you two found each other.
YOU KNOW BOB!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love H jon Benjamin! ❤️
I love the charming click of a stovetop bursting aflame
Every time he says Barry I lose it! 😂
I keep expecting him to turn murderous.
That was a perfect tribute 😂
I kept expecting him to make burger puns lol
Thank you, you were terrific!
DUDE.
This is GLORIOUS.
H Jon will always be MothMonsterMan to me ♥️♥️
one of my favorite jazz pianists
I love H. Jon Benjamin so much
Good job Barry. Best episode in a while!
That guy is a bit on the depressing side 😂 but I enjoyed it :p
That's how you get ants, H. Jon.
awesome start to the substitute sandwich ppl
That looks absolutely delish! I’m only mildly disappointed it wasn’t a burger with a pun for a name. ❤️
Love a Welsh rarebit and now I’ll have to try a Maine
Lots of fun to see a different host!
Lord Benjamin is always welcome on the channel! If the cheese wasn't so think it actually looks like that is a really good base for a great sandwich.
I can't hear you over the sound of my own awesomeness! ;-D
Wow. Huge get. Awesome job, Barry.
Wow what the hell, awesome to see coach mcgirk on the channel
A little disappointed this wasn't filmed in a van
Very cool episode however we are disappointed
that there will be no more Sammwich collaboration 😢😮…..it was interesting 🎉
Great guest! Piri Piri hotsauce sounds delicious!
Nice one.
He got Bob’s Burger on the show!
I was not expecting this, amazing.
H. Jon Benjamin knows The Sandwiches Of History Guy? H. Jon Benjamin must have been starstruck. :P
I enjoyed this
I thought Zorak and Moltar were holding him for ransom, that is until their “Unreasonable Demands” were met
Don't listen to anything Archer says! He can't be trusted. LOVED this episode. Barry - keep it up with these sorts of creative spins on your show.
I loved the cheese "sauce". Great job 👍
Hopefully he was joking about not coming back that was great!
Maybe sleep will cure the coachs insomnia
I'm not a fish person, but i might actually try this, it sounds pretty good!!!
Omg AMAZING
he did a great job
I absolutely LOVE your saucepan!
He’ll always be Ben from Dr Katz to me
That cheese topping looked like something out of a 50s shlock horror movie, but I imagine it tasted pretty good.
So cool that, despite your channel being "small," you can get Bob freaking Belcher on here. Now if only you could get John Dimaggio, a.k.a. Bender, too. That would be epic.
On 2:15 you definately hear Bobs burgers Bob❤️
Love lovity love it!
Sandwiches of history UNIVERSE
The sammich was a yuck for me, but having it presented by Mr. Benjamin was quite a treat.
Good job!
Excellent work Sir Benjamin
Jon,
Have you tried Porthos Sardines from Portugal. No need for the Rarebit, just some Premium brand saltines and you're good!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? You know Bob Sterling Archer?!? You sir are now far cooler in my esteem. Who could be next?
I'm definitely not a fan of strong fishy flavors, but I'd... maybe give it a tiny bite, since he said it was fairly mellow. Also, cool to see H. Jon Benjamin. Thats great.
❤ HJB!!!
oh my this man is a gift to the world.. also I need to find that hot sauce
I think it needed grilling to give it colour needs a revisit 👍🏻
Bruh! Coach Mcguirk making a sandwich on Sandwiches of History?! Awesome but I have so many questions

Oh yeah 😂 piri piri 👍
I would make this!
This guy is pretty funny
I might agree to take a bite of the sandwich but I would never make it. Thanks!
👍
👍👍
I think it's fishy that he didn't get a burger sandwich recipe. LOL
❤
Coolest thing ever
cool

Is that a mid-Atlantic accent?
How the hell is Archer co-hosting this?
H. Jon Benjamin follows on Instagram and we've chatted a few times. Still can't believe it myself.
Woodhouse is rolling in his grave. The creaking old fiend.
If you're going to fondle your sweaters, fondle your sweaters
rad

Are you Barry or Other Barry?:
That was pretty good. H Jon is the best. Id probably deviate a little bit from the recipe and add a little less cheese to the bechemel. I love quality sardines so Id likely enjoy this sandwich.
Oh my Bob... wtf is going on rn
