Seeing the prison hallway was really impressive. The fact that it was the actual stage set and not a reconstruction, and so well taken care of. Even the folding chair. Really impressed. Thank you for giving us the tour! (and the fact that the one thing you'd take home is the 13 Ghosts ghost-viewer is awesome :) Good man! )
The prison hallway is done very well, but compared to the original there are some differences. The origininal chair was brown and the ripped radiators are missing.
These two are soulmates. Wish i could find mine
The magic of the universe says that one day you will ...
Ditto 😔
You will! Good journey to you man!
Someday you'll find it.... The rainbow connection... The lovers, the dreamers and... Happy Halloween
You will you will
This museum is by far my favorite thing in LA. The Max Factor building is just so historic in of itself and everything on every floor of that place is a movie lover’s dream. 😌❤️
I went when I was 34 and enjoyed it all especially max factor
Fantastic! They need to turn the "Silence of the Lambs" set into an AirBNB.
That's a killer business idea pun intended a horror themed air bnb
Buffalo Bill’s Basement
The staff enforces a strick skin care regimen
MAybe one day I will go there
Dear@@unodiscw ~ Maybe One Say We Shall ALL Go There!! 🌸
I’ve sat in that exact chair and opened that drawer. It was 2008 and I had no idea it was even a thing in the museum til I walked past and saw it advertised. Truly unbelievable.
That's amazing this story about Silence Of The Lambs set. Great video thanks
that is a bucketlist place to visit for me now. I will see it next month. ty grims!
I’ve never heard of this place and now I have to go see it in person .Wow that cell block is unforgettable.
Your enthusiasm is contagious!!
That Halloween IV exhibit is so cool but that mask still looks silly not scary. The Silence of the Lambs area is beyond amazing! Good job!
Love this place!! Been there twice. I feel like no one really knows about that place
I visited this museum many years ago, i think its one of the best movie prop museums out in L A and so under appreciated, they have so many different things, honestly insane the amount of stuff they have, 10x more then u will see on most studio tours etc. The Silence of the lambs exhibit is insane . I remember when they had all the POA costumes in breeze way to dinner next door, not sure if still open, great video
Did you see that hand drawing of Venice on the wall? That was a clue to lecter's future residency. Spooky
Damn Cassandra does not age, she looks Amazing!!! :O
Every time I visit LA from Australia I go to this museum.. it is so underrated and a hidden gem!
@Tom Whalen indeed
@Tom Whalen sorry to hear that
@Tom Whalen no, sorry
Imagine sleeping in Hannibal's cell and waking up to find a glass of chianti next to the bed. 😱
Damn they got the whole Hannibal cell, the actual cell.Thats friggin amazing
The 13 ghost glasses are awesome too.
We had to go to 7-11 to get those 3-d glasses to watch 13 Ghosts. We were scared to death! The line outside the theater was long and every seat taken. Lots of screams and such a great memory to remember. Thank you guys! 👻
Every old building in Los Angeles is haunted. Too much history there.
I feel like a kid at a candy store now I’ve seen this set.
This is making my Friday the 13th! Thanks, Michael & Jessica! :D
OOH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!!! That made me drool into my own lap!!! I am literally speechless Michael and Jessica. ....🤤!!! The Max Factor building just made it MORE iconic. I need some bathroom time now......
Amazing video as always
Great Silence of the Lambs set, except the lady set Dr Clarice Starling, she wasn’t a doctor .awesome video of an amazing museum.
Museums like this are so cool. I don't see many of these types in the UK. I love a museum. Most museums I've been are specific to the local land history.
really cool tour..when this pandemic mess is cools down l will take the train into LA and visit this cool place😃
Now Then Guys...
1 of my all time favourite movie this movie was a game changer.
The Writer Of Hannibal lecter Got Inspiration From Ed Geins The Murders...Great Film And Red Dragon.
I just saw this video, again... again, a capitol time!... I didn't see the ghost that was mentioned, but I would love to go to this place, if I'm ever up in LA again... Thanks, guys... :^)""""
oh man that dungeon was just amazing thankyou once again grimms
I adored this video, as if I stoud beside you . Thank you for sutsh a great documantery.
How can anyone dislike this video, keep up the great work guys!!!
It's amazing that the Silence of the Lambs set still complete. So many are thrown away or reused.
In Jan of this year I flew to Atlanta, Ga from NY for the "Days of the Dead" convention. 2 of my main reasons for going were for Kim Coates & Mark Boone Jr of "Sons of Anarchy." The other was Michael & Jess. That is no exaggeration! I was so friggen elated when I saw them listed as guests. They were so sweet, and even agreed to giving me big hugs. If they happen to read this, I want you to know that my meet & greet visit with you 2 was one of my very favorite moments there. Honestly, I was on the verge of tears from being so excited.
Hope to meet again at another convention.
Until then, Happy Halloween 🦇❤
Thank you for telling us this. And thank you for taking the time to come and see us. Stay safe out there 🎃
This would/will Blow anyone who loves films or cinema AWAY ! I Wish I knew about that when I was in the area ! Going thru your videos is a must before you travel anywhere in the 🇺🇸 so you know where to go when you get there. WOW 🤩
I been lucky enough to meet Sir Anthony Hopkins on the set of " Remains of the day" at Powderham Castle nr Exeter UK back in approx in 1992 .....absolute Gentleman, but being a "Silence of the Lambs fan I took my Video tape ( remember those) of the film and he signed to me and my lady at the time.......it was a great day on the set to meet such a legend !
The Knick was such an excellent show. The surgery was a little much for some people but overall, a highly underrated show.
Hi 😁I amvery impressed with this museum. Anthony Hopkins is my beloved actor and the role of Dr. Lecter is a championship for me, thank you so much for this episode. I am sending greetings from Poland😘
Great vlog!!! I loved every bit of it. Especially the bit with Elvira--funny!! As for ghosts, I don't know about that, but one thing is for sure maybe some of the items in there may have an attachment. But what really spooked me out is the mannequin at the beginning where you made the comment about getting some of them for props, at time 4:05, I swear I saw that one blinked. You know the one with the skull paint face.
So awesome this collection! Keep these great videos coming 👍!!! Love that jail cell. Clarice! Jessica! Great vid Mike n Jess! 💥💥💥💥
Awesomeness !
We love your channel all the way from Toronto Canada. I swear when your new vids come out we actually gather together and have beers and chill and watch. The “Big truck” face at the end made me giggle 🤭 as always, amazing video, amazing collection. That’s on my bucket list now! Thank you for letting us tag along 😄
This WAS super-COOL! I LOVED seeing the "Silence of the Lambs" stuff and seeing Jessica sitting in the chair Clarisse sat in, was spooky! I got a little anxious lol but knew Michael would save Baby Ghoul in a heartbeat! I also loved the movie "Thirteen Ghosts" so seeing that item was something I'd want too!! LOL Thanx, again, for doing so many cool vids for us, guys! Stay safe and well! Peace!
I loved this video a lot and your I love spooky shirt is awesome. Also eBay has the ghost 3D glasses
This is simply awesome!
Such a shame that i didn't know this place exists when i visited L.A. 3 years ago. I would've loved to pay it a visit!
Greetings from Germany!
Another awesome video. The last time I went to the hollywood museum was I think 10 yrs ago. It was great then and looks even more awesome now. Thank you for doing this video. I totally enjoyed it.
Off subject before I watch your video. I just wanted to tell you both and your subscribers about Netflix's DRACULA (mini series) A must watch. It's was written so well with details only a Dracula/Horror fan will catch. I highly recommend watching it.
The names of Draculas brides we're.

Van Helsing is one of my faves too. Along with the Nightmare on Elm street series!
Awesome Video
Love that 80s background music the way it just fades in and out love that
Thank you so much for this tour! Very nice to see the old and very old originals being so well preserved.
Aww. That was so cool to see some of the stuff inside. I had no idea this place existed. I need to visit. But on kind of the same note. The movieland wax museum in Buena Park CA. Is gone! I can't believe it 😥. I visit there so many times as a kid with my mom. I hate to see it gone😥
Mine blowing this is one crazy awesome museum.
That Museum was horrifying in the best way possible!. Loved it!.
Love when you two post videos. Hopefully you two come to Kentucky sometime so I can see ya all. Happy Halloween
I love these types of museums. they are similar to Ripley's, Madam T, and Guinness. I could live in one of those.
Thank you for another amazing video 🎃🎃
13 ghost is another fantastic legendary movie
I just love this! Thank you my two friends.
I went here years ago, the whole museum is fantastic but that basement was amazing. Looks like they have added more stuff to it. I got chills seeing Lector’s cell.
Another great video. Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorites. Having the cells in their museum is really cool.
I have been to a lot of museums, but this place here would have me giddy with excitement 😃
WOW! That was SO COOL to see the actual screen-used set for Silence of the lambs. The whole museum looks amazing. I am going to have to make a trip to Hollywood soon to see that. Mind blown!
my heart skipped a beat when i saw penny wise!! ans sweeny todd! amazing i remember thirteen ghosts at the movies
The Silence of the Lambs segment was amazing. It is probably my most favourite movie growing up. Still gives me chills.
OMG Jessica we are so in tune with Loving Van helsing 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
That was an awesome!! Video. Loved all I saw. Wish I could go to those things. Never happen here in Oregon 😢. I love Halloween. 🎃
Loved this video. ( as I do all of them). I live here and have never been. Loved the real jail cell of one of my favorite movies. Glad she could tell the story. Love Jessica’s hair perfect color for this time of year
That intro is 🔥
that museum looks super cool, i want to visit it someday, also happy friday the 13th :) i hope you guys will be making vids when HHN opens up ^^
Awesome video as always! Unfortunately for max factor, what they are claiming isn't 100 % true. Example, Clarice jail cell chair @ 11:43 in your vid, is NOT the original chair as claimed. Clarice chair was brown and the seat was not square....it was rounded. Leads me to question authenticity of their claims
Sadly, I agree! The cell isn’t the same either, things like the sink, the weird back wall shape, Clarice’s chair, the lady calling Clarice a doctor, and the padded cell that ‘we all knew what happened there’ when it wasn’t in the original film, perhaps where ye was held which they got the Tooth Fairy note in Red Dragon and he saw the ‘maintenance’ man coming and going from. But the cell and the chair are very screen inaccurate, sadly! Still an amazing exhibition! Love your work GrimmLife! Also, the work you guys do from scratch, like filming locations, your work is so incredibly accurate through your exemplary hard work, research, and perseverance! It’s a shame there are places that make false claims like this Hannibal cell etc, when you guys work so so hard to get things so accurate! I wasn’t going to comment but was pleased a few other s noticed the things I did, because it’s so sad there are people profiting from letting true hardworking fans like you down by making the odd false claim. I love the info about the making her chair so much smaller, if that was the case for the actual chair. But yes, the chair was much less sturdy looking and was brown and had a curved seat, not squared. The sink was very different too, the brickwork doesn’t match up. Got to say, your video from the Buffalo Bill house was SUPERB and I highly recommend all SofL fans to go watch it! I loved it so much! I would LOVE any more filming locations from the Hannibal trilogy if you do them!!!!!!! It’s my favourite horror trilogy (I disregard Rising from this main set of three being it wasn’t an Anthony Hopkins film!) If you ever stay in the Twilight Swan house too, they are fans who run it that have recreated the interior from the film! Their Instagram photos show how remarkable this is! Great work though guys…love your stuff! You guys are perfect together!!!x
I agree, The Amount of Stuff You Two
Have Collected would be cool to see
In a Museum one day! Especially with
Jessica having a Bug 🐜 🐛 Exhibit!
Great Video Guys!! You Two NEVER
Disappoint!! 😎👍
YOU two should buy a storage container and turn it into a spooky museum. 🙂
Great tour of this wonderful museum! The costumes are so amazing! True art. Great bit by Cassandra. About the set from Red Dragon; are the walls fake brick? Those glasses are just red and blue cellophane - you could get some cheap plastic glasses and makes them.
It's too late you're committed now!?
To make those 13 Ghosts glasses, and send them to the Grimms!?👻👓
How do you do such awesome vids?! You guys are a joy to watch, and do the best and most well informed location vids around! They're just...
.. crazy!
.. brilliant!
.. but crazy.
Thank you for the awesome tour.
Loved this!!! I didn't think Clarice was a Dr. though just FBI student...I know Dr. Hannibal Lectar was....I see Silence of the Lambs rewatch in my future!!!
That was absolutely the most awesome place you've videoed :) I never thought of myself as a horror fan but I've seen almost everyone of the movies they had props for in there...guess I am a horror movie fan after all :) Thank you Michael and Jessica for this awesome video :) ps Jessica you should be a goth model you rock those outfits you wear :)
