As much as I would like to be among the people who own some of these things, but they really don't belong in a private collection, they belong in a museum for everyone to see! 🖤
They belong in whoever pays for them. Yes it would piss me off thinking about wealthy trust fund kids who buy up all this stuff with 0 care about the films but that’s not usually the case at all. Tons of collectors aren’t even multi millionaires or anything they’re just stable and save for stuff like this and put all their time into one hobby. Some people buy vehicles, motorbikes, watches, comics, etc, and some people collect this stuff. The amount of money this company makes though from the seller and buyer is insane.
@@HonkeyKong54 props are stupid expensive these days, too. better to have a private collector care for a prop and display it to friends than for it to sit neglected in a warehouse to rot, seen by no one. one disaster and, poof, there goes hollywood history all in one shot. yeah, it sounds like what they make is absurd on the surface, but after all their one-time and ongoing costs i'd said it's very much not nearly as much as we think.
michael and jessica. i would just like to take this moment to thank the both of you for taking all of us to places most of us will never be able to visit ourselves in our lifetimes. your work and time has totally paid off in my opinion, and your videos are by far the most entertaining and informative on you tube. THANK YOU BOTH. happy halloween.
The first thing that caught my eye when you walked in was the Bicentennial Man and I'm so glad he made it into your video because I feel like its not as popular as many of the other film pieces there. That movie is still one of my favorites. The score is just so moving and I get goosebumps every time I listen to it. James Horner was such an amazing musician and obviously Robin Williams was an incredible actor and they made something so beautiful. My favorite quote is "To be acknowledged for who and what I am, no more, no less. Not for acclaim, not for approval, but, the simple truth of that recognition. This has been the elemental drive of my existence, and it must be achieved, if I am to live or die with dignity."
Jessica is like an Elvira mistress of the dark. Thanks for sharing the museum of horror props they were amazing to see. It must be even better in person to see them up close, they were once used in movies. You take care Mike and Jessica.🙏😎🎥
Every time I watch Poltergeist, I wonder out loud who has such a deep-seated hatred for children to give a clown doll that is so terrifying - it has NO redeeming qualities whatsoever. And then it just gets worse from there... LOL!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Michael and Jessica for taking us with you to such an amazing place - so many great memories!!! Happy...Halloween, indeed!!! 💚🖤🧡
Jeezus... Just spent about 20 minutes scrolling through the auction and I'm feeling what Jessica is feeling. So much cool stuff, so little money to buy cool stuff... Just seeing Princess Leia's gown on screen gives me goosebumps. I can't imagine what it would be like to see it in person.
My brother and I purchased the screen-used menu from the Hawaiian Dungeon scene of Monty Python's Meaning of Life, along with the set design and scene sketches for that segment. Got it for quite a bargain from Prop Store. The framing actually cost more than the actual memorabilia. Was a gift for my dad's retirement. As a side note, I tried to get in touch with the remaining Pythons with hopes that they'd sign the menu, but didn't get a response until about a week later, when Mr. Palin actually reached out to me and sent a super awesome personal letter for my dad. Incidentally, Palin is my dad's favorite Python. :D Also, the menu has a lot of inside jokes they that put on the menu to try and make each other laugh during the shoot. So, unless you have the actual menu, you'd never know that's why Michael Palin had a hard time keeping a straight face while reading the menu. 😂
Prop store is amazing and I wish that a lot of those items would end up in a museum where everyone could enjoy them instead of just ending up with one wealthy person who could afford them. Great video as always guys and keep up the great work. ✌🏻
Oh my gosh ! I was thinking wow there’s so much! But when I saw the jumanji board, I was like THAT! That’s what I want 😂 but then he zoomed out and I was like wait no I want the lunch pail! Return To Oz is one of my all time favorites ❤️
I had a nightmare last night that I was being chased by zombies. My gut had those butterflies because I knew they were literally a inch behind me.I was just out of their reach.I turned back and I saw a little girl in the middle of them and ran back and some how plucked her out of the zombie crowd and ran my ass off...I looked down and that little girl turned into a doll...WTF does that symbolize? 😳 I hate zombies... I woke up in a cold sweat and turned on all the lights. I felt like I still was not all the way out of the dream. Ringing in my ears. Love you both and your creative spooky channel. 💜💗😀 P.S. Wow! So much cool monster stuff. You guy's go to the coolest places. The Thing freaked me out.
This video makes me wish I had won the lottery because I want every piece you’ve shown here.I’m obsessed w the clown from Poltergeist .Actually jealous of Sean Clark because he owns one .
The Poltergeist clown is so cool! I just watched the clip and it's not the clown that is sitting in the chair, but it is indeed the clown that attacks him on the bed and pulls him under the bed. Later they show a view of the clown attempting to choke the kid under the bed, and then later on the kid starts ripping the stuffing out of the clown. The clown's jaw could have broken when they filmed the clown pulling both of them off the bed.
That exact clown I kid you not, kept me up for many many nights after watching that movie. One of my earliest memories of being absolutely traumatized by a movie. Oh how I'd love to give that thing a hug now to thank it for turning me into the horror junkie I am today.
What an amazing collection! Overwhelming, really. I could totally relate to what Jessica said about her mind being pulled in so many directions! So cool that you got to see it up close. Thanks for yet another great video. You two are my absolute favorites!
13:56 I love how they didn't have anything to say about the 2016 Ghostbusters. There was a long pause and Mike went straight to " What else we got here?"
Omg that must have been so hard to not wanna take it all home!!! The Wolfman head! The puppet creatures in the beginning of the video! 😍 Jessica and her angelic singing is always a bonus for every video! And I agree with Baby Ghoul, I would not be able to contain myself either! That poltergeist clown, oh god the clown from my nightmares! 😳👻 the details of everything is amazing I can’t! It’s hard, a look but don’t touch endless display lol I see a Gremlin too! Remember to always feed them after midnight! That’s when they are the cutest! 👻🥰❤️🎃 loving this so much!
Thank you for the tour. I attended the preview night for this auction at the Peterson museum where they had many of these same props. While we were looking at the clown and asking ourselves questions out loud, a gentleman behind us said, “I can answer those questions.” He happened to be the Prop Master who built the clown. Amazing night.
I remember you went to Sean's house and he has one of the other Poltergeist clowns. He also said Zak Bagan has one too. Cool that that specific one was found.
Once again y'all put a smile on my face knowing we all share love for movies and horror! In such depth as you guys get is amazing ! Thanks for another great video 💚🖤 Happy Halloween 🎃
So many awesome pieces up for auction. The clown doll alone is kind of like a holy grail of horror films. I smiled at Princess Leia's dress, as I adore Carrie Fisher and miss her terribly. The Jumanji board game and the demon from Elvira: MotD made me go wow. Estelle Getty's chair from The Golden Girls (huge fan of it, here, too) was a nice finish. Some folks are gonna be happy owners when this is all done.
That clown from Poltergeist absolutely terrified me when I first saw that movie as a little girl. I was really way too young to see the movie too! We also had a big, scary tree right outside of my bedroom and I was always afraid that tree would reach in and grab me out of my bed. My jaw dropped when I saw that clown here in this video. I’m truly amazed that it still exists and in such good shape. I blame that clown for instilling a fear of clowns that’s carried on into my adult years, though I’m much less fearful of them these days. Lol! There’s so many things I saw that I’d love to have or at least just get to touch, especially that clown and the prop from ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street 3’… What a treat to see these things before they were auctioned off. Thank you for another fun Grimm adventure. 🥰
Life long horror film fan here that always love to get goodies from horror films. I admit I very much want a Critter. Love Elvria Mistress Of The Dark and she is in real life a down to earth, funny and smart woman. Hope you both had a great day
4:28..... OMG, THE CLOWN 😭😭😭😭😭😭 That brings back so much childhood fun memories back in the early 80s. I was 8yr old kid in the early 80s watching this movie on Halloween night with my friends and siblings, after we got our candies. GAWD, that was so much fun.
Yay “Ghostbusters”, “Return to Oz” (my favourite childhood film), “Batman Returns” (my favourite two films) ”, “The Boleyn Girl”, “Spaceballs”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Karate Kid 2”, “Titanic”, “The Other Boleyn Girl” (I would totally wear that gown - I love the style and color).
The clown and lunch pail are a dream. I’ll always be skeptical but my mom claims the main iconic lady in poltergeist worked for my grandfather before she did movies. Besides that poltergeist and close encounters both two my fav movies for all the nightmares they induced from random showings on TV E.T. Also always a favorite and once realizing of Spielberg it made sense why those movies always stood out to me. He was the king on creepy vibes just by the style and detail and love the practical effects
Yeah, we're going to have to take a substantial loan to grab some of these gems! Another excellent video, guys. Love how down to earth and natural you two look behind the camera and you always describe things so well in all your videos. Thank you.
WOW I want the Spider Head from THE THING one of my fave all time films I remember getting my dad to wake me up at 2am just to watch it I never get bored of watching it still am all JEALOUS you guys even get to be next to these things
I want that Jason Mask from Friday the 13th Part 7 The New Blood ❤. I watched that movie at the movie theater on the big screen back in the day. 1980's Horror Rocked! Thanks for sharing yall
It's great to see these things still exist. I would love to see them in a museum, but wat least they will be looked after. I would love to own t5hat Jumanji board too.
Omggg the clownnnnnnn 👀👀👀👀👀 That clown from Poltergeist gave me nightmares from when I first saw the movie as a kid. I still can’t go anywhere near them as an adult .
Awesome stuff. That Prometheus suit was rad. I had to laugh though when you showed the female Ghostbusters suit...that will probably be a free add on if you bid on the 84 props 😂
Spent the first 15 minutes wigging out because you hadn’t mentioned the Leia dress yet hahahahaha. Relief washed over me in an awesome way right after that.
Omg trying to imagine Scream as a scarecrow, can you and Baby Ghoul imagine it? Lol great job on this video guys! Amazing yet again! Totally looking at that shop and see if I can maybe place some bids! Happy Halloween! So glad to be a ghostie! 👻👻👻❤️❤️❤️
Yes that clown is so creepy and spooked me for yrs lol. I think your wife would look so beautiful in that dress next to that creepy clown. ❤ it just must of been wow walking through there.
I love that you grew up watching the same 80's stuff I did. This is one of your best video's not on location of course. How hard is to find all this incredibly cool stuff under one roof right!!!! My favorite thing was the Spider Alien head from The Thing or the Elvira Mistress of the Night soup monster...Oh man I was just 5 or 6 yo then! What I feel is missing from this grand collection of science fiction horror is anything from Adrienne Barbeau. Outside of Elvira she is my one and only true Scream Queen!!!! 💯 ❤ 😋
If you guys are fans of Jumanji, you need to visit the filming locations next time you're in New Hampshire. The majority of the film was filmed in Keene, New Hampshire. The building used for the Parrish Shoe Factory is in North Berwick, Maine. I live right over the border in NH just 10 miles from North Berwick and the Parrish building.
Awesome!!! I want it all. Wish we had stuff like that up here in northern WI to go check out. Thank you two for taking us to these places, very grateful as I don't travel much cause the wife don't like to much. Safe travels stay blessed and Happy Halloween 🎃
I'm signed up on their auction site, I've viewed most of these items on line, plus a few more. There's a Michael Myers mask I know of. If I had my pick, I'd take the Poltergeist clown in a heartbeat! ❤️
What another great video. I am so glad that Jessica is starting to talk as well in the videos. And that darn clown scares me. I would check under my bed looking for the silly thing LOL.
I just need to buy a mansion with a museum attached. That clown is a classic creature under the bed kid’s nightmare, the ultimate scary thing.
As much as I would like to be among the people who own some of these things, but they really don't belong in a private collection, they belong in a museum for everyone to see! 🖤
then that museum goes out of business and the things wind up at auction, lol.

I saw the clown from Poltergeist years ago at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. It was behind a protective glass and it still scared the crap out of me!
🤡🎬😱

Grimm for Life!
I love your guys videos. That was a fun tour. Wish I could go.
I know you want them (as do I) but Ideally, these props will find a great home with people like you, who love them.

The Poltergeist clown would be such an amazing collector item! Awesome video guys!
I actually think its crazy that MGM studios never made this doll for sell.

Very cool props I never knew they would auction them. Fans of the movies would be thrilled to have them.

That clown from Poltergeist is what, 41 years old?
That thing is still terrifying!
Adam Savage’s Tested had a lot of these props in an episode just a couple days ago……really cool to see
Great video! You both are the best!

@@kaseybones that would make sense!! Omg!
Yes that clown is so creepy and spooked me for yrs lol. I think your wife would look so beautiful in that dress next to that creepy clown. ❤ it just must of been wow walking through there.
