I think it's a good practice to challenge your imagination once in a while after you've had enough practice with references and have a wider mental library to use your imagination based on it, that also makes the reference less of a crutch you always need and more of a guideline you can keep learning from but also do fine without in case you choose to go by imagination (already fuelled by reference based practice) sometimes.

I got Clip Studio paint the other day and absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it! My fave brush so far is the real pencil, I love the grainy look it has 👌😎👌
I also like that it has a SpeedPaint feature that records every brush stroke, so you can leave and come back to a drawing without having to pause anything.
Seeing the CSP ad everywhere, I knew instantly it was your work !

This is perfect! Clip Studio Paint has always been my go-to program for digital art, but I was a bit lacking in the drawing talent department. With your timelapse, I felt more comfortable because it was a program I recognized being used. Also, your drawing is amazing! I feel like you and Clip Studio are very compatible!

A collab that we never knew we always needed
As an animator that uses this program heavily for animation, it lacks an export animation with transparent backgrounds option. Using something as an overlay for anything, it needs to have the transparency around the figures that are animated, instead it adds a white background even if the 'paper' layer is missing. Overall this program is awesome for illustrations and everything in between. I loved the piece you created for this as well! Beautiful job!

Please make a video telling how you work with layers like when to put something on a new layer or when to use effects like multiply, overlay etc insted of directly playing with colours coz i tend to put every single thing on a separate layer and that makes my poor tab lag hard
