I genuinely want to know if his parents always had music playing or a TV going on when he was a baby while he slept and maybe that's the reason he subconsciously has to have some kind of noise going on. Mine is a fan/white noise maker because my grandpa would always have fans on and when he "turned the TV off" for bed he would just turn off the cable box and the TV would sit on the white noise screen and play all night and it was oddly relaxing (he couldn't hear it). That and trains in the distance put me to sleep or make me super tired cause I lived a qtr of a mile from a trainyard throughout highschool.
