Yea he’s innocent though so…
You can't just cash someone else's paycheck. Or is this another Muricanism where you don't need ID to access someone else's money?
@sololuisvlogs "Oh but of course!" like Wilma said to Betty (ironically to her question of "Do the jailbirds deserve food?" as they ribbed their husbands on being wrongly busted for boosting). And if there's them as will stoop so low as to snatch so small an amount, it should be of NO surprise that these fat bellied rednecks would easily dip their chubby mitts into such a pile as this one describes - which covers only the $20s with no mention of what the other denoms counted up to. That they bungled it so badly, "it is to laugh!" Daffy Duck style, but even so those who - legally or not - hit the roads with them kind of wads need to take the greatest care NOT TO GET STOPPED! And as well (for the legal versions), document what you got before you go; 4-wheeled mules up to no damn good are on their own! Either way "be (more) careful out there!" 🚔💰

You gotta admit, all that money can really scramble your brain. I, myself, would hurry up and count it and regret I didn't fanagle some for myself but the thought would subside after a couple of days. What REALLY would piss me off is if someone else took some and I got blamed for it.
Some of us have more traits of “corruption” than others. Some people never have those thoughts. Me personally, if I worked there for 10 years around all of that money, I can’t say I wouldn’t have myself. That’s also why I don’t chose careers like that which depends on me to be the best person.

TRUE more chance of a politician being held accountable then a cop.
@philliphofstetter6459 cops go to jail far more often that politicians so I'm pretty sure you're wrong

@@RiVer-Parishthey even got back pay for the time they were suspended for the investigation.
I actually don't think he stole it. I think he's telling the truth when he says they screwed up the count and were careless. His body language doesn't really push to guilt, and a guy who's financially stable isn't going to risk his 17 year career at a job where he's liked and does well at to the point of awards, for a few grand.
They should have just went old school way threatened the guy with arrest then act like they were letting him off easy and kept his money, It still would have been a possibility he would report it but the plausible deniability would have been in the cop's favor
Because doing this scam they write down the real total then decide what the fake total should be, they work out the profit, split that between them then submit the fake total to the bank. Only this time they messed up and submitted the real total to the bank.
So...lie detector read "deception" first, then something went wrong on the second and yet....he got back pay for his suspension time and only charged 8 hrs pay?
Wow! What a punishment
Lie detectors are notoriously bad at actually detecting lies. Which is why they do it more than once, but even that doesn't guarantee a correct reading. Nerves, medication, exhaustion, etc can all read as "deception," and you can learn to pass a lie detector when being completely dishonest.
His “punishment” was decided upon by the EXTERNAL investigation. They have no reason to be on this guys side. This dude has started lying in his videos, thumbnails, and titles. Other channels provide proof when they stuff liken”he failed a polygraph”
I wonder how many lawyers were smart enough to challenge convictions because the chain of custody involved a literal thief.

You’d think they could afford a couple cash counting machines with all the seized cash they steal on the regular.
That's a real sleepy area, probably not much cash.
Correct there are very specific guidelines they have to follow when seizing money or other valuables they have to prove it was ill gotten like drug money or stolen money it needs to involve some kind of criminality like he said they had intent to distribute so this was fair game even though I think its BS they took it in the first place it’s not like dude was slinging coke or heroin but obviously if it legal for them to seize anything they are probably to do it. It’s not like if you’re walking or driving around with a milly in a duffle and get pulled over by the cops they can just take it if they have no proof of wrong doing I’m sure there are corrupt cops who invent excuses but that’s another issue.

This one stumps me. Nix was the one who put the money in the evidence bags, sealed/signed the bags and then put the bags into the safe. If he wanted to take money why wouldn't he simply take equal amounts of 20's (from all bags and change the final counts) so the bank count would match? Also, $3,140.00 seems like a petty sum to risk your job and reputation on.
That's my immediate thought. With all the experience he's had with this, he knows what will happen. He would make sure the totals match what goes to the bank. He had that opportunity.
Two more points: why have only one cop transporting it? And - who is doing the same vetting procedure on the bank employees? A bank clerk could easily take some out before feeding it into the machine. Bank tellers are ordinary people. I knew a nice mom who worked as a teller who embezzled over $10,000.

It’s not impossible that this kind of mistake be made AT THE BANK.
I once saw a teller use the money counter machine (they refer to them as “jetscan” machines). They grabbed a stack of cash from a large cash deposit that was too much for the machine to handle, and didn’t realize that a stack of bills fell behind the machine.
The customer was surprised to hear of the discrepancy since they are usually very accurate with their counts.
It wasn’t until 3 or 4 days later (after a weekend had passed too) that the cash was found by another teller who was just cleaning around the area of the jetscan, and once the money was counted, it was realized that it was the exact amount of the discrepancy from the issue a few days earlier.
It wasn’t like this thing happened a lot, but just the fact that it did, made me realize, anything could happen. 👀
Another scheme used is a teller will skim a small amount from several accounts and many get away with it. ---My friend was an investigator for a large bank.
Now that is very interesting! 👍⚘️🙋♀️
Thank God for digital money@@looking4things669
I got ripped off $600 when I made a large cash deposit into a ATM. I was told the ATM could only handle so many bills at once but this was my first time using a ATM with this kind of technology.
The bank said they were not responsible and the ATM company said they never found any extra money in the machine 🤬
I was with my Mom at the bank as she withdrew a large sum. She knew the teller so they were chatting as they made the transaction. My Mom was counting the money before we left and realized she'd been given exactly twice as much as requested. She immediately returned the money. Mistakes are made by the bank. There was one very happy teller.

they were doing a “routine roadblock” where they just randomly steal money from people…. the WAY WAY bigger crime here is that the cops can just set up a random road block and steal anyone’s money who goes through it
I was thinking the same thing.
They can’t “randomly” ‘steal’ money and it can’t be “anyone’s” money that simply goes through it. They have to catch you in the commission of a crime - and a crime that specifies criminal forfeiture.

Idk but sounds to me Cam skimmed the count, this guy wasnt sure he used 3 or 4 evidence bags. Then when Cam gets a call the count is off all of a sudden he has found a bag of money. Wondering how much was in that 4th bag.
But Cam would have had to steal the $ after all the counting had been done and the tally sheets were signed off on. You wouldn't steal any money after a count had been done. I don't think Cam stole any money. And Cam wouldn't have said there were more bills in his stack if he had already stolen some $, that doesn't make any sense.

The fact that there were policies in place to prevent stealing, and they all signed off on amount per the policy, I believe they just screwed up count. Everybody at the location the money was counted would have to be in on the theft and I don't see FOUR officers splitting $3000 and putting their careers on the line, doing such foolish things. If a theft was going to be done, Cam would have been the only one able to steal, before a count was done.

I bet black men don't screw up when they pay their child support in full and on time every month! Oh wait... but I bet they can count their gold chains and drugs.... that's how those thugs are... I can 95% tell them from the "good" ones. I know that sounds judgemental but I'm usually right!
See how that sounds? Maybe judging all by the actions of a few is something we should try to avoid instead of brag about and talk ish.... ya think?
what's there to count?
Imagine not having a money counter in a unit that frequently siezes money.
You cop haters defended them.

This case proves that police and all law enforcement are put in place to serve and protect business interest and matters of money and all things related. When a cop shoots a person or harms a person's life on duty, they are placed on paid administrative leave 9 times out of 10 but when it comes to matters of mishandling money they are suspended immediately and without pay until the investigation is over with and there is a conclusion. This was very eye opening for me!
Very good point
and private property
Yea cause that fbi wants that money. It’s the governments u best believe that.. I think since it’s drug money it should be destroyed. No one ,especially law enforcement should acquire anything with that dirty money cause it is. Yet it’s good money when they want it.. the law sickens me!!
facts
I thought Cam would have been the one taking the fall since he’s the one that didn’t find his money until 4 days later and after an investigation had begun. Nix wasn’t responding for Cam’s misstep. So why is Nix getting blamed? Heck, a polygraph isn’t consistent nor is it admissible in court. Had they fired Nix the union would’ve gotten his job back. And all this over a lousy $3100?! But the truly guilty party is the department for not investing into a money counter!!!
They stole $3k in 20s and some unknown amount in $100s. For the 20s, they mistakenly put the real count on theevidence bag and so when the bank counted it, it was off. Luckily the mistake was on the 20s though so they were able to magically find the missing 20s while being able to pocket the missing 100s that no one knew were missing.
Where in this video gives you the idea they stole 100 dollar bills? Tell me your not guessing
@@DJ-kk3co a lot of people who watch these videos and comment grandiose ideas are schizophrenic. I wouldn't take them too seriously.
@@g_rr_tt so you have been hearing voices? 💊🥓
Reminds me from that scene in Training Day where they steal a portion of the drug confiscated money
First I want to say that as a former amateur accounting student you always count things twice or until you come up with the same number twice.
Never let 2 or more people count money at the same time as you on the same stack unless they are just preforming that second count.
That would have saved everyone in this situation.
My other point would be, why would he take money after they documented the total. That would be just stupid and he really didn't seem that deceptive or dumb.
I'm sure someone helped themselves, we know there are sticky fingers unfortunately everywhere 😢. I would assume they did it long before any of it was counted.
Personally I don't know how anyone could take money or goods but I have a conscience that would eat me alive if I ever thought of it.
Hahs I bet they don't count them Ukrainian donations twice to verify when all their slimey hands get on it!!!
@kinsey8109 I think you need to seek help. Just because I support a free country doesn't mean something I say has less value or validation. You come from a very deranged point of view and need to find some serious help.
Good luck and I hope you get well soon.
I have had to count large amounts of cash too -- and that was my thought as well. Why were there so many people counting at once? That's a guaranteed way to mess up a count! 2 people count at a time, verify the amount twice, and you cross check with the total amounts with the numbers of bills in each denomination. Why was this so hard for grown men?
Most theft happens because they are presented with temptation-drug money’s tempting to a dirty Cop
@@kinsey8109you realize the majority of "donations" to Ukraine are in the form of outdated military equipment? If you think Putin would stop with Ukraine, I have a bridge to sell you. Just because you don't understand something....doesn't make it wrong!
Your channel just popped up and I'm glad it did. Great content.
Integrity is doing whats expected when others are not looking.
I was certain Nix hadn't stolen any money. He was far too honest and forthright. I'm glad I was right.
😂
@strangerdanger4167 So sorry - I'm usual pretty good about that.
Yep I knew he looked innocent
yeh i was skipping through to get to the part where he is stumbling on his words etc but i couldnt see anything... now i know why...
Me too, I knew he didn't do it. Its the PDs fault for making them count it by hand.
Why not just separate the denominations and then use a cash counting machine?
My thoughts exactly
You don’t even need to separate denominations to use a cash counting machine
Bro 😂 ...all involved in this are laughing and will be buying things in few years
because then you couldnt steal...
Because everything in the evidence intake process is custom designed to allow cops to freely mess with the evidence, whether that's stealing money or planting things.
I find watching this at 1.25x playback is a lot better for me..😊..
You know what....you're right.
Very true. He does speak slowly lol
Bless you for this omg
I found this for MOST of RUclips 🤣
Never thought of that thank u cheers 🍻
Nix was found not guilty of taking the money. He was only docked about a week's pay for the error in counting the money. Walsh was heavily disciplined by being demoted, transferred, and having his pay docked.
Update much appreciated! 🙏
This fellow failed the polygraph and completely wiped his work phone - for nefarious reasons, clearly. He didn’t follow protocol during any step of the process. He is obviously guilty, along with his coworker who “found” a random bag of money in his car. Mmm-hmmm, okaaaaaaaaay!
I think he just had personal information on his work phone.
this is how credit card thief's work. they take small amount on your card thinking you won't notice, and I think this is what these guys did.
I really appreciate and look forward to the uploads from your channel. Thank you..😊..from Australia 🦘🇦🇺
I worked in an evidence section and had a case that involves over $150,000 all of which was in different denominations and it was not like you’re thinking money comes from the bank neatly organized. It was just a pile of bills and yes, we did have a machine to count money but that was not the official count and official count had to be made by a member of the department and then after that count was done. Another member of the department had to recount the money. Only after both members of the department, not having been together during the count agreed on the exact number of bills, and total amount of the money was the count official. And yes, several months later I got the job of a squirting a little old lady with all that cash back to her bank so that she could deposit it and yes the bank dropped it all into a machine and I counted it all out in about seven or eight minutes total and have the exact count correct.
Please try to keep in mind, the departments make policies based on a normal every day activity when somebody may need to count $120 or so and that’s why they have the two person rule. They don’t really think down the line how it will be when they end up having over $100,000 to count.
I assume "Squirting a little old lady" was meant to be "Escorting a little old lady"...
Sorry 😢 to hear you had to squirt a little old lady. Hopefully with enough drugs and alcohol you'll be able to bury that unfortunate experience 😢

Where was the part where "he realized he got caught"?
He was not found guilty of steeling. He received back pay.
Innocent if you ask me.
Also they were exonerated. Most of these people aren’t watching this whole video. Bro is about to get sued over a thumbnail 💀
Exactly. You can tell most of these people comment before even watching the whole video 🤦🏻♀️
Agree, and should be sued. 82k views now, hundreds of derogatory comments. Legal action incoming.
Why does the highway patrol allow their officers to maintain that much fat?
I've hand count 30k once with 2 other guys and after 3 recounts we were 50 off again and took it as a rounding error. 100k sounds like total hell. 3% off is a bit much though.
Did you leave some of it in your cat tho accidentally
Love, Love Love Stranger Stories- Always look forward to every video you put out. I prefer long ones but the short one are always good too. Thank you for all the hard work that you’ve done to make them
After $107k they got bored and tired of counting so they took $3k to go drinking at the strip club. Hence the dollar bills😂
But how do they know they were off when they didn’t finish counting and they were counting their own stack as to not mess with each others tally?
Still waiting for that gotcha moment where he got caught slipping up saying something that incriminates him.
I don't appreciate the title of this episode. You make it sound like it's a foregone conclusion that he stole the money. It actually looks like a simple miscalculation during the counting process and nothing more. What a cheap trick to get viewers to watch your channel!
Ive seen this interrogation from half a dozen creators, but none, had what happens to the cops involved, Just started and hoping you got it.
One thing that we know, there are no fitness requirements once you’re on the force.
lmaooooooooo
A Police Department (which robs the public daily) accused an officer of robbing them lol. Oh the irony
I got one for you. Back in my day I robbed a drug dealer of 1 kilo of black hash ,4 ounces of coke and about 5 thousand cash . I went to a hotel with the 2 other accomplice to get high . The two other guys were so high on coke they went to the lobby for whatever reason , got into an argument. The cops came and took us all to the station . Luckily I had put my share of drugs in a subway locker . At the station I gave a fake name and a pretty good story for my share of the money . Anyway I got a promise to appear but while letting me go the cop had to count my money to make sure I received what I had when they detained us . During the count he skipped over 500 a few times asking if the count was correct . It took me 3 counts to realize he was pocketing the 500 . I agreed knowing I was getting cut loose . Never went to court , my buds said the cash and drugs in the room was mine so everyone got loose for 500 , not bad .
Great video. I don't think he took the money but wiping his work phone is odd. My guess is there was "personal" contacts on the phone that he didn't want seen. It would also explain the deception on the test.
Hes not the one who whiped his phone, that was Cam. This guy gave his phone to his captain and he told her if you go get my phone you will see all the pics I took
This reminds me of ‘Out of Time, starring Denzel. He was a cop who stole money out of evidence to save his MARRIED lover from dying fron cancer. She lied. Meanwhile, the department of whoever stores monetary evidence kept calling him to send the money and he was dodging them,. They came in person to get the money. The whole movie was a cat and mouse thriller with him trying to avoid those people There a million close calls. At the last minute he got the money and passed it on to the people chasing him. That was so good.
Damn thanks for ruining it lol I still wanna watch it tho lol
Great Great movie!
I'd like to know what kinda crime scene turns up an Olive garden bag filled with 100 grand
Ever wonder how often this happens but the douche bag piggies never get caught? Think about it.
Spoiler: He was exonerated, he’s innocent. If I had known that I would not have watched it!
So was Casey Anthony, babe.
You can trust le to be 100% totally honest they would never steal money that they thought they could get away with. Never
Notice that when she asked him what kind of evidence he deals with, he noted cash last. I would think drugs and cash would be the first items to come out of his mouth.
@@ollieox1975yep. This interrogation was sus. So many little comments/behaviors that gave me pause..dude definitely stole some cash.
Sixteen years on the job. Anyone believe this is his first time thieving?
Luckily with more and more departments implementing body cams it makes it easier to weed these guys out as well as making both parties safer by holding the dirty cops who depend on violence and breaking the law to get things done I think it’s a great thing it holds them and the criminals to some accountability no more he said She said just have to watch the tape
Didn't u watch the whole vid? Nobody stole $$. Click bait for cop-hayters
He listed everything they deal with except the money 😂😂😂😂
The biggest crime here is the clickbait. Downright felony.
The evidence bags were sealed before leaving the police station where they counted the money so it couldn't have been opened and resealed . And every step they would have been on camera and the body cams did record the entire situation.
I wonder how many people watched the entire video before commenting? Presuming he did take the money (which hasn't been established), he got away with it (assuming being docked 8 hours pay for a $3k profit qualifies as "got away with it"). Literally the only evidence against him is a polygraph (flimsy), and in terms of his performance in this interview, he certainly didn't seem like he was hiding anything. I haven't a clue if money was stolen or if they just messed up the count. What I do know is if I were looking at $100k, then it's either all or nothing. No way I'm taking the risk for $3k, especially if I'm a cop because if there's one thing that a cop is afraid of it's jail.
I don't think anyone would put their entire career on the line for $3000...I don't think he did it. However, the police force should get a money counting machine!
Yes, this, after nearly 20 years in he would be close to possible retirement I'd imagine too. Alot to jeopardize over 3k than may or may not have been divided to multiple people.
Title of Video Misleading - he wasnt charged
