      I would love to hear your feedback sir/maam, on what was the reason why your dad decided to have kids at 45? I am 38 years old and currently , I do not have kids because I want to reach a certain financial level (more than just stable income )in my life before I have my child.

    Covid really screwed me. I've been looking for the right partner to have a family with since I was 30 in 2020. I'm 34 now, I did date two women that were not open to having children so I ended things.
    Now I'm getting nervous will never meet someone. And it's my biggest dream to be a dad.

    well, the health risks are minimal, not to say tiny, if parents are younger. However, saying the health risks are for example 100% higher if the parents are older means maybe double the risk of almost zero, and this will be still a very very low risk. 100% sounds huge but is only a tiny little increase of the total risk

    It’s definitely true that there is a higher risk of mutations in older males, but the increased risk translates to a very tiny overall risk to the child. Such that older men/women shouldn’t be concerned.
    There was a recent article by a fertility expert who said the real risks are with 50+ yo men, and even then the risks are low overall, and he had a kid after 50.
    There is a need by feminists to graft a biological clock onto men, to try and say they shouldnt father children later, as women are unable to. The truth is that they can do it.
    Most men aren’t having children later anyway. But there is a push to try to push middle aged men away from women ten years younger, to give the older women more of a chance
    They do this by as a group distorting the scientific literature on the topics, to give women more power as a group

    • @intentionalparenting2605
      @intentionalparenting2605 Год назад

      I do not agree with feminist ideology. However, I am realizing that the women I know who date older men, their children have some form of autism and or a speech delay or speech issue. My friend dates a guy old enough to be her father. She has 4 children with him. Every last one of them have some type of speech or behavioral issue. I also met a woman who has a 7yr old daughter with autism but she high functioning. Her dad bought her to dance class yesterday and it was my 1st time seeing him. He is definitely older than the mother. I’m seeing this as a issue as of lately. I’m just here for study purposes. It is none of my business but definitely interesting.

    • @GigoloAunt
      @GigoloAunt 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@blacklyfe5543 It sure does, it's estimated older fathers are responsible for a higher incidence of birth defects and disorders than women. It's because it happens due to mutations on the dna which doesn't discriminate in males or females we get it equally unfortunately. As mens telomeres get longer with age we see a much higher incidence of mutations (I work in medical research). Many people just haven't caught up with it yet as women are still blamed and investigated for any issue with the child and we haven't been questioning mens role in this until recently. I suspect it has to do with many men believing women somehow age faster than men which enables them to go after younger women(making it more socially accepted), but as we're seeing fertility is as much a man's issue as womens, the only difference is the child is birthed by the woman but most defects happen at the time of conceiving where it gets half its dna from the dad

    The odds of having an autistic child is less than 2%. For you men in your 40s this means your odds are about 10-12% based on the numbers she’s suggesting. That said, this would also mean there’s a ~90% chance your child will be perfectly healthy. As a new father in my 40’s, the most important advice I could give you, is take your personal health, diet and exercise serious. The greatest risk to the child with older fathers is the fathers health. Cheers.

    • @GigoloAunt

    27 is ridiculously young like I feel like even though this video is really nice and it’s well-meaning it’s still very disconnected of what it is actually like to be in your 20s now. I’m 24 I am a baby adult like I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing and if you told me in two or three years I would have a child I would literally off myself and I’m pretty sure most women would today
    Moreover why are you acting as if like 30s is it young or youthful because you’re not old like you’re literally classified as a young adult
    Edit: I realize this was made 10 years ago no wonder this seems so out of touch and out of date
