    My parents are 67 and 70 respectively and still hiking up mountains all over the world. My grandparents are in their 90s and still mobile, mentally sharp, and independent. You can absolutely still be active and healthy at those ages, and being an older first-time parent doesn't mean your kids will have to take care of you in their 20s. If you make the effort to look after your health, chances are your family will be just like any other, just with longer generations.

Got pregnant naturally 3 months later and had a beautiful little boy. My heart is full and I’m so happy I didn’t listen to the Drs or anyone. Mature women having babies is not a bad thing, it’s beautiful and people will criticize them but will smile on a man having kids in his 60s. Life is fickle, you don’t know when it’ll end so do you and be optimistic.

      @@becibabe7364 why not? It's possible . Women in my family have had children in their 50s. I know plenty of women who had babies in their 40s naturally. IVF isn't cheap by far.
      Anybody living in the western world like Canada n u.s. are more exposed to a toxic life food, air, water, pharmaceutical drugs, negative thoughts, systemic problems, careers , higher stress levels , media. Naturally it takes its toll. Women in ther 20s are not as fertile as decades ago. Think about it and dodge the westernized way of thinking.
      In Chinese medicine fertility is said to stop at 49. 14 years more than 35 which the west claims.
      35 because of all the crap women girls are exposed to.
      Whereas people living in even poverty stricken countries or rural communities may have not as much in material luxury or access to medical , education and political power. Yet they do far better being mother's at a later stage of child bearing years.

My grandmother had 17 children naturally , had her last one when she was 56 years old and lived in tge snow , she out live all but 2 of them . MY own mother had 9 children all naturally, and had her last one at 48 , and out lived 6 of her 9 children . Stranger to have a brother 47 years older than ones self . Very natural in days gone past to have very old grandparents , grandmother lived to 108 . Not uncomon to have older parents live to 100 and 98 years . This modern time/age calls 60 years & + , now geriatric! its ridiculous just over thee half way mark . And treated the with no respect belittling them . Age is only a number when in good health ! live your life in the way that makes you happy, all children are a blessing . May you all live healthy and happy into a ripe natural old age in good health , take no notice of the opinions , of the spruking nonsence of doomsayers . Blessing for a fantastic life of happiness. The only difference is that she’ll be more out of touch with her child since she’s the age of what it’s grandmother should be. Also she may not live to give the support a younger mother would be able to. Her decision was irresponsible

At 50+ your body begins to go through menopause. Your eggs are no longer as viable and neither is the sperm. People generally aren’t against the idea because it’s “gross,” but because of the dangers older pregnancies present with.

      I need a new username exactly. And the very fact that our aging process begins to accelerate rapidly once women hit the age 35. I had my first son at age 23 and I just had m my last daughter at 30. The difference in my energy between when when I was in my early 20’s and now In my 30’s is very noticeable- and I am very healthy, athletic and in great shape. It’s just a fact of nature that we have less energy as we age. This woman sounded so delusional when she said that she is “like bejamin button, she just gets younger with time!”

      @Flirty Fran what would you say to a my acquaintance who had her second child, naturally at 49? She'd already had an adult son by then. The conception was unplanned but she kept the baby. That takes courage and love in order to do so. Please don't sit in judgement of others. 43 isn't to old to have a baby if you want one and I know women older than that who have naturally conceived. Some of us don't meet Mr right until later on in life....

    • @lah1667
      @lah1667 5 лет назад +1

      @Flirty Fran I said that Nicole and Geri's GRANDMOTHERS had their last child at 49 so of course the pregnancies must have been natural- this was way before ivf was developed. Geri did try to conceive with ivf and it failed but she had her second child at 44 naturally, so late childbearing might run in her family. I do care about children and think that 28-35 is probably the best age for women to be having them, not at 49, but I am not going to act as though having them at 20 is ideal either... Why would you think I'm pro-abortion?? Says who?

    • @lah1667
      @lah1667 5 лет назад

      @Flirty Fran you've got it wrong, I'm not pro-abortion, as I've seen ones use it as a form of contraception and have multiple terminations back to back, with different (inappropriate) male partners. I don't agree with that and think being able to conceive at all is a blessing. However, a woman is going to have to raise the child for decades so surely her wants and circumstances are important too? The biggest group of women who are having abortions are in their 40s (in my land) because they think they are 'past it' so stop using contraception-then low and behold, they conceive. I agree more with the ones who keep their babies should they unexpectedly conceive whilst up in years. If you think late motherhood is selfish, that's up to you but a person can change their mind e.g. Not want kids in their 20s and focus on their career.... Have a good career in their 30s but find it doesn't fulfill them.... Feel that they want to pass what they've learnt in life on to the next generation in their early 40s and will regret not having kids if they don't try. True 1) they could have tried earlier and 2) they could adopt, but some women will want a genetic tie to their baby. Also, risks do go up with maternal age but a 39 year old woman has a 0.7% chance of having a baby with Downs so that's a 99.3% chance the baby will be fine... Please don't scaremonger... Risks go up with age but if you can carry your own genetic child to term, the statistical likelihood is that the child will be genetically fine in most cases.

      Same here! I'm 38 just had a baby 6 months ago and everybody told me it was old to have a baby. I really want to give my daughter a sibling close in age but wasn't sure to try again or not

    I had twins at 37 and some people said that was late. Everyone has the ‘right time’ to enter and to exit according to something bigger and not according to our confused society!

      Really? 🤔 It wasn't late at all, how could they tell you that? You were young enough...

      My mum had me at 37! Might be biased, but I think you get the best kids if you have them at that age ;) (also I'm the oldest of two!)

    Wow. I needed to hear this I'm 37 and met the love of my life and we want to have kids. I'm so worried that I'm too "old," but hearing this gives me hope! Thank you 😊 💓
