    sounds to me like the first page of the instruction manual titled, "how to build yourself a jaguar mark 2", starts with "1) weld vent hinge to bulkhead, then 2) weld bulkhead to firewall.".

      Yes this was crazy to use a mild steel hinge in a area prone to dampness that is completely boxed in by surrounding welded panels. I hope you watch the concluding videos to see the end result cheers Steve

    I heated mine up with a small blow tourch, obviously it burns the paint but no need to cut anything.

    Great video verry informative, excellent drawing aswell.
    Mine is stuck closed, so I've separated it from the outer vent which works okay. The only thing that's missing is the control linkage, any ideas where to get one from ??

      Hi Jeremy my go to for obsolete car parts is eBay , you need to keep checking in though every few days, this approach may take weeks or even months if the part is rare, everything now is getting hard to find. Beuliea auto jumble twice a year also usually throws up some gems. 👍👍🔧🔧
