    Does the camera always have to stay plugged in?

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  4 месяца назад

      Great question! Yes, this camera needs to be plugged in as it doesn't have a built-in battery! And I'm not sure if I've come across one yet that does, so just make sure to check the specs if that's something you're looking for! Hope this helps!

    Do you recommend this one or the momcozy bm01?

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  3 месяца назад +1

      I’m a fan of both but like the feel of the Momcozy BM01 slightly more! We started with the VAVA and used it for the entire time our daughter was in a crib and have since used the Momcozy monitor out of preference! Hope this helps!

    I agree with your review, I have this same unit and wanted a new monitor that has split screen and multiple cameras. Going by Amazon reviews I bought 2 different hellobaby dual models and have to say they are garbage compared to the Vava, oth are going back.

    We love ours, if I buy another camera/ monitor are they easy to connect to each other?

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  Год назад

      Yes, linking the second, third, or fourth cameras is very simple! Remember you only need the add-on camera, not another monitor!

    You can use cameras connected to a Smartphone?

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  9 месяцев назад

      The non-wifi monitors like the VAVA come with their own handheld monitoring device so you do not use your phone! If you want to use your smartphone, you can look into smart monitors! I’ve reviewed a few of those so feel free to check out those videos on my channel!

    I have one of those cameras, but the problem is that I have my son upstairs in the room with the camera, and I have the monitor with me in the kitchen downstairs to watch him while I’m cooking, and I lost signal. I can’t even use it., what can I do in order to have signal?

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  8 месяцев назад

      That’s odd! We have a two story house and have never had any issues maintaining signal in the house. Perhaps try extending the antenna on the monitor to see if that can help!

    Does the camera give off a red light at night? If so, is it a light that can be covered without blocking the camera? I’m looking for a non-WiFi baby monitor that I can use in little one’s blacked out bedroom without distracting or hindering their sleep.

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  9 месяцев назад

      Hi! There is a small red indicator above the lens that lights up on the camera when you are actively viewing but it's very small and not bright enough where it should affect your baby! You could cover it if you wanted with tape or a sticker. Hope this helps!

    • @jessicahelene23
      @jessicahelene23 9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your response. Do you know if it is in fact the indicator light and not the night vision? For example, the camera for my current monitor has a green indicator light I can cover but the red light comes from behind the camera and if covered, completely obscures the view. Unfortunately my little one wakes up and stares at it so I’m looking for a different baby monitor. Thank you again for taking the time.

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  9 месяцев назад +1

      I had to go look and there are actually small red lights in a ring around the lens, all that could be covered without blocking the view. I did not see any red light coming through from the lens itself though!

    Do you know if we can replace battery for monitor,

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  9 месяцев назад

      Hi! I've never had to replace ours but from what I understand, you can replace them! I read the batteries should last 2-4 years before needing to be replaced so if you're having issues earlier than that, you may want to reach out to VAVA! Hope this helps!

    Does VAVA offers an app to see the babies when away from home?

    • @DadNamedMac
      @DadNamedMac  8 месяцев назад +1

      Since this is a non-wifi monitor, there is no app for remote viewing! This is intentional as one of the benefits of non-wifi monitors is localized security!

    • @JoaoGuilherme-uc1vp

      Thank you for the video and reply. It's a shame, I would rather have the safety of watching them from anywhere, it would be very unlikely to have my wifi hacked anyway.
