I loved this video!! The trip up Pikes Peak made me queasy just watching!! Sept 2022, my husband Bruce and I went up PP but we took the train ride up! We saw really cool sights! Views were amazing! We live in very flat Oklahoma!! You asked about mile marker anniversary celebrations. Ours was 45 th when we discovered it’s called the Sapphire anniversary! We bought rings for our anniversary and a trip to Branson, Mo! We just celebrated 47 on Monday 7/31!! ❤❤🎉 Happy Anniversary to you both!!! ❤🎉❤🎉
Currently in Colorado for an 8-day vacation. I’ve been to the top of Pike’s Peak twice before. This time, we drove the Million Dollar highway…. Oh my goodness… it was 10X more scary! Never again, although extremely beautiful. This was a fun video.
On June 16 th 1979 we were married and our honeymoon was Colorado Springs. We went to the top of Pikes Peak and made it down safe. My kids have been to that elevation but it’s hard to breathe.
I don’t think I’ve ever made this comment before, but please don’t ever take out the garage door opener, taking out the light in your intro! I followed you for years and that piece still makes me laugh. Between the glass shattering and Dawn laughing it is just hilarious.
The first time I remember praying was going up Pikes Peak. I was 10 and my sister was 8. My dad was driving and my mother was distraught. My sister and I laid down in the back seat with our hands over our faces praying. Thank goodness our Grandmother had taught to pray! We made it to the top.
Good timing. My 18yr old son and I are going to the Denver area in 2 weeks to hike a couple 13ers. Student and teacher celebrating his graduation after homeschooling all the way.
Happy 15th Anniversary! My husband and I were out west years ago and it happened that we drove up to the top of Pike's Peak on our actual 30th anniversary date. After getting there and looking around, a group of big, burly motorcyclists reached the top also. One of them saw us and came over and said to my hubby, "That was some scary ride, Dude." We laughed so hard because they looked like they were so menacing and meanwhile they were actually pussycats. We loved driving and being at the top. Hopefully, your kids will get to experience it too some day.
My children used to Jr Drag at Bandimere. So much fun. Tom you're not supposed to break out. Lol Dawn, I don't like riding in the passenger seat driving in the mountains. I have actually moved to the back seat behind the driver. It's all about lower gear. I've lived here for 50 years and decided riding my motorcycle was a lot more enjoyable than a car. It's absolutely beautiful.
I went all the way up when I visited a friend who had moved there back in the early 1990’s. She drove. We went to the top and her brakes were perfect when she got down. All went well, except a lightening cloud moved in and we all had to run into the building for safety! I don’t remember the road being so scary!!!
My husband LOVES drag racing. I went with him, back in the day, and then he started taking our son, whew, Lol. 😂 We did Pikes in 2019. Never again for me, I don't want to trust my brakes that much anymore!😅😅 😊
I drove to the top of Pike's Peak a few years ago with my husband and late Mom. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The only disappointment was it was cloudy at the top when we got there.🇨🇦
My husband and I drove up Pikes Peak in '79 on a CX500 motorcycle. The roads were not paved towards the top at that time. We made it to the top but all we could think of is getting back down. We still talk about it. WOW!
You two are the cutest Flat Landers! We took the Cog Railway up Pikes Peek a few years ago. I think your kids would love it. No nevous nellis on board, just happy memories and great introduction to the mountains. Colorado has many beautiful roads. As does Montana where we live. The Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park is another memory maker your kids would enjoy. I'll put it a plug for the Many Glacier Lodge area on the east side of GNP. The closet views of "Switzerland " most of us will ever get. Loving your channel Tom. ❤️
Thanks for showing the Pike's Peak trip. My Minnesota family went up it w/ my dad driving our 1966 Dodge crew cab truck w/ a camper on top. I was either 9 or 10. I rode in the upper bunk w/ a couple siblings. Those hairpin turns had us rolling back and forth across the mattress and we laughed and laughed. I remember sucking on a jawbreaker, popular candy at the time, slightly smaller than a pool table ball.🤦🏼♀️ By the time we'd reached the top and stepped outside the camper, I fainted due to the crisp light air(?) then threw up so I didn't get to see much of the surroundings. I remember the gravel parking area (back in the '60s). We have photos of a much more somber Kate sitting by the rock sign. (Mom always wanted us kids to stand by the markers while she photographed us.) I seem to recall my dad pulled over on the descent to allow the brakes to cool. (He was a former diesel mechanic for Mack.) I am jealous of your racing adventure! 🚨 I should add, for Tom's benefit. My dad rigged up an auxiliary fuel tank on this truck (I'm sure my mechanic brothers could explain the details) so he wouldn't have to fill the tank so frequently on long trips. He had a toggle switch on the floor and when he sensed we were about to run out of gas, he'd lean down and turn that switch. No pause. No stops. With five kids they couldn't afford to stop.
Wow! Beautiful!! Only cause you are driving and riding it…..not me!! I would be in the backseat asleep on the seat or throwing up!!🤣🤣🤦🏻♀️ My daddy loved going through the mountains on Sundays “hunting for snow”😝😆😘
My dad took the whole family of 6 in a 73’ Dodge Polara. We were all so scared. As there weren’t any railings to keep cars on the road! We stayed at The Garden of the Gods campground and did horseback riding it was a wonderful trip and certainly memorable! Good on you guys for having a go and making great memories.😊
Tom, I don't know if you are aware but that mountain ridge by Bandimere is called the Hog Back. Directly on the other side is the town of Morrison. If you went over there you would have discovered Red Rocks Amphitheater .....absolutely beautiful. Concerts and sunrise services are held there. I know... lived in Morrison for 18 years it was a great place to raise my kids. The noise from the racetrack used to rattle our windows. We literally lived on the other side of the ridge. Still live in the area but in Lakewood. Soooo fun to see you in your element and a trophy is a TROPHY......right !!! I love watching Dawn's channel as well. I'm 73 and I've been inspired to declutter . My motto is if I was moving would take it. Layer by layer I'm getting there. I have definitely build up my declutter muscles and now I actively look for what else can I get rid of. Thanks for ALL the laughs !!!
Beautiful area. When I heard Tom say Uff Da, I giggled. My family lives in Minnesota and Uff Da is one of our favorite sayings. I currently live in Washington State and we also have beautiful mountains. Mr. Rainier is a beautiful place for hiking.
As a girl from Colorado who learned to drive in the mountains i laughed at the two of you a little. The reason coming down is worse is tourists ride their brakes instead of gearing down.
Happy 15th Anniversary Tom & Dawn!!!🎉. You loved the rockies...come on out to Alberta, Canada! We'll take give you a tour of our beautiful rocky mountains...it's definitely our happy place over here! Would love to meet your beautiful family ❤️
We live in Woodland Park/Colorado Springs! We always go up the cog train! I went once up in a car when I was a kid and will never do it again!! Good for you!! Hope your enjoyed our beautiful Colorado! Happy 15th anniversary! May the LORD bless you with many, many more!
Hahaha - I LOVE that of course Tom called out the slowest reaction time trophy right off the bat & then won it! Glad you all had fun & had a safe trip!
You guys! Congratulations on racing (and winning!) at Bandimere. My husband's and my first date was at Bandimere (in the sixties, lol) and both he and my youngest son have a long racing relationship there. My son passed away a year ago and he has a memorial plaque at Bandimere so, for many reasons, I am very sad about them closing. They hope to build an even bigger/better track out east of the airport in the next couple of years. I had to laugh about your drive up Pikes Peak. I have close friends from Minnesota who can't make it even out of the foothills let alone above timberline. So congratulations on overcoming your fear. I enjoyed this video so very much.
My husband and I went up past the tree line when we were in Yellowstone. We had sunny skies at the beginning, had some rain and then three inches of snow at the top. We had the reverse on the way down, people were giving us weird looks when we told about weather. It was worth the ride up but scary at times as I’m not a fan of heights either. So happy you had a great time and shared and also Happy Anniversary!
This was so fun to watch. We have been home from Durango, CO , for a week. We went for a family reunion and drove up Pikes Peak on the way! Our adult daughter who has Down syndrome kept scooting to the center of the van😂 We told her we were all going together if we went over the edge! It didn’t make her feel better😅
Now that you’ve drove up and down Pikes Peak. Take the cog railway up to the summit of Pikes Peak. You can relax and enjoy the scenery. Happy Anniversary!
I’m glad you enjoyed Colorado. I’m sorry I missed you. I live a couple of miles from Bandemier. Unfortunately, I was at a wedding in Nebraska that weekend. Did any of your fans come out to meet you? Happy anniversary!
Just passed Bandimere yesterday on our way home from camping in South Park where you would have gone through to get to Buena Vista, most likely (huge valley with towns of Fairplay, Como and Jefferson). I have lived in the Denver area all my life and my teen years were spent in a neighborhood where we could hear the cars at Bandimere on summer nights. Glad you guys got to experience some of our beautiful Colorado scenery and fun "drives". You guys are so funny, I didn't know anyone stopped in the middle to come down Pikes Peak! I guess I'm a true Colradoan. Yesterday my sister in law rode a bicycle down Pikes Peak!
I loved the Rocky Mountain footage. I had family there a long time ago and had many trips into the mountains...it was so nice to see them again. Thanks.
You both are very brave! Dawn, that was awesome that you got in that car to race! Tom, how sweet of you to go the first round & talk Dawn thru it. Many years ago, my husband & I took 2 rigs to our sons baseball game. After the game got over it was pretty late, so no traffic. My husband was driving his 69 Elcamino & I had some grandma car. We stopped for a red light & I yelled to him race you for pinks". The light turned green, I got the jump off the line, but he caught me by the next light. We like to laugh about it 😄 It's wonderful the things we can do when we just do them!
Oh my goodness 🤣 this was great! You guys definitely need to do a loop through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. That said this looked like a fairly normal drop off for this mountain girl, so maybe don’t bring the camper 😆
Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to visit my son who moved to Denver in January. I know what we WON’T be doing! My heart was in my throat just watching this.
My childrem Jr Drag raced at Bandimere and they had a blast. Tom, you're not supposed brake out at the tree. Lol I've lived in Colorado for 50 years and I will sit in the backseat behind the driver in the mountains though I would rather ride my motorcycle. So happy neither of you got altitude sickness. Thank you for visiting Colorado.
We didn’t make it to the top of Pike’s Peak either. The wind was so strong that they wouldn’t allow it. They said it would sand blast our car! It was so strong that when my 3 year old grandson got out halfway up, that wind sent him running downhill! Such a fun memory! 😊
I lived in Colorado for a number of years and enjoyed the drive up , coming down was scary, especially with impatient drivers behind you. Also lived in Michigan and there, staff can drive people across the Mackinaw Bridge if they aren’t able to do it themselves. Driving challenges everywhere. The Arizona mountains in the winter snow and roads get closed due to high winds. And Donner Pass in the winter - got stopped there in the snow for 12 hours one Christmas vacation. We always travel prepared as you never know what adventure awaits. 19:14
Happy Anniversary!! I remember Pikes Peak as a really scary ride! My husband and I went up it twice in the 1990s on his Harley when it was still a gravel road, and I don’t remember any guardrails! 😳 I closed my eyes several times, and did a lot of praying!
We took a family vacation to CO Springs in the 90s and drove up Pikes Peak. Back then, it was a dirt road most of the way up with really narrow lanes. The curves were 1 way. It was frightening and hilarious at the same time.
I wish I knew you were going up the Peak... I would have told you to get the donuts! I used to live on the east side of Pikes Peak and you can see my house from the top. Bring the kids... take the train to the top! (The problem that arises when you're going down by car is some folks burn out their breaks)
One of my favorite vacations as a child was to Colorado Springs. I remember ice skating, Garden of the God's & 7 Falls. And since my mother was a teacher, of course we went to some museum. I hope y'all had a memorable time & Happy Anniversary!
That is so awesome. My SIL lives in Colorado Springs, so we could see the snow on Pikes Peak in July CRazy!!..like you said it was cold up there. I think the going up was harder cuz you couldn't see where the road was going.. Scarry!! Good job Thanks for sharing!!
Pikes Peak reminds me of climbing Mount Washington.6288 ft...we went up to the top on our Gold Wing Motorcycle..no railings and some dirt roads near the top. It was known that one of the presidents had a retreat at the top and they went up by horse and wagon. When we got to the top it was a huge gravel parking lot. that was not fun on a bike for sure, It is known as being very windy at the top and there is a shack up there is bolted to the ground with chains. We just got down and they shut down the road as started raining. Yep it was scary but we did make it. Good job on the trophy. LOL
So glad you enjoyed your time at Bandamere and Pikes Peak! I am a native of Colorado and live in Colorado Springs. Happy Anniversary! If you bring your kids you should take the Cog Railway!
"I am just coming off a big W..." 😂 Such a fun video! CO is stunning. We attended my cousin's graduation from the Air Force Academy years ago. We went to Pikes Peak while we were there. So glad we took the cog railway though. That drive looks scary!!!
We live in the western most county of the Oklahoma Panhandle, Colorado Springs is a shorter drive than Oklahoma City so we’ve been there several times for short getaways. We’ve attended the Pikes Peak Hill Climb three different times and when our children were younger we’ve gone to the top on several occasions.
Ooooh HAPPY Fifteen Year Wedding Anniversary , You Two ! I’m so glad you got to do this. I was in Colorado once … back in Fall ( or late Summer ?) 1999. I lovvvved it. I DID go hiking with my friend in Bolder ( in Chautauqua , officially?) . A time I treasure. I DID have to rest during the hike a bit due to the air / high elevation !! Nothing serious it was fine. But that is a wild phenomenon to experience , eh ? Thx for sharing ! You deserved this lovely time. Wow ! Way ‘da go driving up Pike’s Peak ! Love it ! You gotta drive The Road To Hana sometime in Hawaii ( Maui) . I was fortunate to take that journey twice ! In 1995 & 2000. My Fridays are not complete without my time to relax & watch Rusty Judgement ! I’m always exhausted on Fridays & your channel helps me so much !
you had such beautiful weather! When our family went up I was in elementary school and it was August but it was cloudy. It snowed while we were up there. I don't remember being scared, but we had already driven in Rocky Mountain National Park. We tried to save some snow, but of course, it melted! We were from Florida!
Happy Anniversary! I am so glad you had a fun time here in Colorado. I wish I was able to go when you were here at Bandimere but I am so happy that you shared the experience. Thanks for bringing us along. We have so many things here in Colorado to go do and see. You can spend your whole life here and still not have seen it all. Stop anywhere to take a picture and it is literally a live post card. I am lucky that I was born and got to grow up and stay here. Come back anytime and enjoy our backyard (mountains). 🙂
Loved this video. My favorite part was Tom saying I’m coming off a big W! Love how you guys were questioning the guy the and how he was so hesitant. 😂😂
We went up on the cog railway, but we drove up Mt Evans earlier in the week. However it was July 4th week and it was 70 degrees at the base and 30 degrees at the top and snowing on both mountains.
We took our family vacation to colorado springs this summer. We chose to ride the train to the top of pikes peak instead of driving. We also rented side by sides in pikes national forest which was a blast.
I was born and raised 10 min west of bandimere! So sad it’s moving! I do have to admit I was chuckling at your drive up the mountain. Check out million dollar highway!! Happy anniversary!
We had full intentions of making it to the top one year, but we went in April and we got stopped by snow! They blocked it off. So bummed. So beautiful, though! And Garden of the Gods was awesome, as well!!
About 10 years ago I was working in Colorado Springs for 5 months and I did the Ride Down Pike;s Peak. There is a biking company (I can't remember the name of the bike company) that takes people up in vans with bikes and you ride down Pike;s Peak. At the bottom, they loaded us and the bikes in the vans again and took us to a cafe to eat lunch after the bike ride was over. It was amazing and hard work, but later I felt so empowered that I had ridden down that mountain. Pike's Peak's view is amazing. Glad you had a good time!
Congratulations to both of you on 15 years! Congrats to both of you winning at the racetrack. (Dawn, does this fundraiser help your channel also?) Congratulations on proving to yourselves that "you can do it". I hope you bought a souvenir to show that you conquered a fear! My husband and I have never been up to the top of Pike's Peak (and my fear of heights was coming out in watching the video). We go over and back Trail Ridge a couple times of year minimum and I am no longer afraid of it. But Trail Ridge is only 11,000 high where Pikes Peak is a bit over 14,000. You guys have joined the Colorado "14ers" club. Congratulations on that achievement!. I live in Northern Colorado in the front range but my favorite vacation spot is Rocky Mountain National Park. Hope I could meet you both and your family next time (we were on vacation back east). The National Parks out here are on a "admit time" reservation May - October. So make sure you check that out beforehand. Love you guys, what a nice anniversary you had. Nice break from decluttering and working on projects. We usually just go for a nice dinner; however for our 20th and 25th, Greg bought me some sapphire chip rings. On our 30th, we renewed our vows with a lot of the original audience. On our 40th, we went to the scenic area around Keystone, Breckenridge, and A Basin for a couple of days.
Thanks for taking us along! I went to the top on some type of railing 50 years ago, but I can’t remember much. Reminded me of growing up in MT and driving up the switchbacks in Glacier Park. Look up Going to the Sun Highway!
Ditto. We took the train up a few years ago. I have oxygen issues, but it was great. Beautiful scenery. We live close to MT GLP (Whitefish) and have gone over Going to Sun Road numerous times. Once at 3 am, pitch black. Head lights just fade to nothing around some cures. That's a nail-biter!
If you want to experience Pikes Peak with your kids someday and not have to drive it, you can try to Cog Railway that leaves from Manitou Springs (just past Colorado Springs). That is such a beautiful area!
This was such a fun trip. ❤ Dawn and I had a great time getting away in Colorado. I would love to know what you do for mile marker Anniversaries!!
We went to Disneyland for our 40th!
I loved this video!! The trip up Pikes Peak made me queasy just watching!! Sept 2022, my husband Bruce and I went up PP but we took the train ride up! We saw really cool sights! Views were amazing! I really like it also. It is a keeper!!!
I would never ever do this trip!!!!!
I’m with Bonnie!

Oh I feel your pain😂😂😂😂
I really like the new format - a little bit of this, a little bit of that - family time, renovation time - it’s a good mix!
Marcus has an announcing voice and mannerism🌟👏🏻👏🏻
All that minimalism made Dawn lighter for the win! Congratulations on your wedding anniversary. Keep having fun together!! ❤

“We can do hard things!” My husband and I tell each other this all time. It’s an excellent reminder. Glad you two had such a good time together.
Oh my gosh Marcus filming at minute 7 is awesome!
Loved this whole thing😊

Wow! Beautiful!! Only cause you are driving and riding it…..not me!! I would be in the backseat asleep on the seat or throwing up!!🤣🤣🤦🏻♀️

A beautiful drive and awesome memory! Your memory, let the kids make their memories with their spouses to reminisce about.

My heart is beating so fast. Memories of my not making it up Mt. Washington as a passenger. I actually got out and walked back down. Terra firma baby!
We live in Woodland Park/Colorado Springs! We always go up the cog train! I went once up in a car when I was a kid and will never do it again!! Good for you!! Hope your enjoyed our beautiful Colorado! Happy 15th anniversary! May the LORD bless you with many, many more!
I took the train! It was the view at Pikes Peak that inspired the song America the Beautiful.
Hahaha - I LOVE that of course Tom called out the slowest reaction time trophy right off the bat & then won it! Glad you all had fun & had a safe trip!
Tom, great to have car content again on the channel! I love Colorado, and glad you got the chance to do some cool things there.

Oh, this was such a great comment. 🥰
Favorite places to see. Many places to hike and check out. Mount Zion oh so amazing.
I think if you drove in mountains as often as the folks in CO, you'd be nonchalant. You were brave to do it, though, with a smile to boot!
My husband and I went up past the tree line when we were in Yellowstone. We had sunny skies at the beginning, had some rain and then three inches of snow at the top. I guess I'm a true Colradoan. Yesterday my sister in law rode a bicycle down Pikes Peak!
I loved the Rocky Mountain footage. I had family there a long time ago and had many trips into the mountains...it was so nice to see them again. Thanks.
Anniversary Blessings upon you both!
We like to laugh about it 😄
It's wonderful the things we can do when we just do them!
Thanks for sharing! We went out to Colorado for our anniversary a few times. Loved riding the Durango Silverton train!
Wow...that trip up and down from that summit. I was, literally, getting nauseous just watching your footage!!
The Army put my husband out like you said. After he made it back - they sent him to VIETNAM!! He served during the Tet 1968! So proud of him!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thank you for his service.
My brother in law went to nam end of 1968 and he passed away last weekend. He was a mechanic who worked on tanks
We went to pikespeak and my husband was so quick to jump out of our van to get pictures he forgot to put in park. Scared me to death.
@@diananelson327 I am so sorry. But so thankful for his service!
@@nancylutsch6018 Thank you!
When we traveled as a family on very precarious mountain 'roads' that had glorious views, my sister Kathy would say "Everybody but the driver look!"
Oh my goodness 🤣 this was great! You guys definitely need to do a loop through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
That said this looked like a fairly normal drop off for this mountain girl, so maybe don’t bring the camper 😆
You can tell you love each other well and are best friends! Happy Anniversary!
I don't have any fear of steep roads or cliff edges but I could not go up the ladders that Tom goes up!
Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to visit my son who moved to Denver in January. I know what we WON’T be doing! My heart was in my throat just watching this.
My childrem Jr Drag raced at Bandimere and they had a blast. Tom, you're not supposed brake out at the tree. Lol
I've lived in Colorado for 50 years and I will sit in the backseat behind the driver in the mountains though I would rather ride my motorcycle.
So happy neither of you got altitude sickness.
Thank you for visiting Colorado.
Thanks for driving that ..now I never have to do it. Happy Anniversary and enjoy the spoils of victory..I’m so many ways…from this trip😊
Lol I love the guy just puts his elbow on your Jeep mirror while he’s chatting
Marcus is a great little announcer! 🙂 Happy #15! ❤
The scenery up there is just so breathtaking.
Awesome video! The “Once in a Lifetime” title had me singing the old Talking Heads song from the 80’s, though! Yeah, I’m that old, 😂!
No. Nope. Not happening!
With MY fear of heights!
Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Congrats on your anniversary. ❤️
Oh my word, this is so up your alley. I’m sad that Bandimere is closing. End of another era. Thanks for bringing us along. 🇺🇸💙
Happy Anniversary!! I remember Pikes Peak as a really scary ride! My husband and I went up it twice in the 1990s on his Harley when it was still a gravel road, and I don’t remember any guardrails! 😳 I closed my eyes several times, and did a lot of praying!
The Cog train is fun to ride up to Pikes Peak!!! It was snowing and FREEZING when we got to the top!!
Glad you guys enjoyed our beautiful Colorado! :-)
LOL
Thanks for taking us along on your exciting adventures. The scenery is beautiful. Happy Anniversary!
So glad you enjoyed your time at Bandamere and Pikes Peak! I am a native of Colorado and live in Colorado Springs. Happy Anniversary! If you bring your kids you should take the Cog Railway!
That view at the top reminded me of when I went to the top of Haleakala on Mau’i. 🥰🥰🥰
And yes- it was COLD. 😆
Thank you for sharing, guys! 🧡
I was in Colorado once … back in Fall
( or late Summer ?) 1999.
Happy 15th wedding anniversary!!!
Fun times!!!
you had such beautiful weather!
When our family went up I was in elementary school and it was August but it was cloudy. It snowed while we were up there. I don't remember being scared, but we had already driven in Rocky Mountain National Park. We tried to save some snow, but of course, it melted!
We were from Florida!
Happy Anniversary
Much Love, super proud of you both
Beautiful Love
Happy Anniversary! God's abundant blessings to you both! 🎉❤😊
Happy Anniversary, guys! Also, congratulations to both of you on your victories! Such a fun video!!! ❤
Very fun
Happy anniversary
Thank you for sharing ❤
We went up on the cog railway, but we drove up Mt Evans earlier in the week. However it was July 4th week and it was 70 degrees at the base and 30 degrees at the top and snowing on both mountains.
We took our family vacation to colorado springs this summer. We chose to ride the train to the top of pikes peak instead of driving. We also rented side by sides in pikes national forest which was a blast.
I was born and raised 10 min west of bandimere! So sad it’s moving! I do have to admit I was chuckling at your drive up the mountain. Check out million dollar highway!! Happy anniversary!
We visited Pikes Peak in 2002. I loved it but I am terrified of heights. At the top I got sick because if the thin air. It is so beautiful!
Lol this is so funny to this person who drives mountains every day!🤣
We had full intentions of making it to the top one year, but we went in April and we got stopped by snow! They blocked it off. So bummed. So beautiful, though! And Garden of the Gods was awesome, as well!!
I’ve driven to the top of pikes peak twice! It is scary but I was so proud of myself because I was so scared! Good for you! It is beautiful up there!
Thanks for taking us along, now I don’t have to try it. I was getting shaky when you were at the top looking out over the railing. Happy Anniversary.🎉
We took the train up to Pike’s Peak. 80 degrees at the bottom and a snowstorm at the top. It was crazy! The kids will never forget that!
Bravo to the BRAVE! I could not go up and down Pike's Peak! No way it looks like anything I want to do!
Congratulations on your trophy and making it up to the tippy top, and back down again. Thanks for sharing that beautiful scenery.
Our family went to Colorado this year and saw practically everything but missed out on Pikes Peak. Thanks for completing our trip!
I live in the mountains of Western NC and we drive on curvy mountain roads daily. Glad you guys had fun.
If you want to experience Pikes Peak with your kids someday and not have to drive it, you can try to Cog Railway that leaves from Manitou Springs (just past Colorado Springs). That is such a beautiful area!
Congratulations on all of this! You are so brave. Thanks for the views on the drive because I will never drive it myself!😉
