Good to know! Curious to see if it gives you any trouble next time you change the oil!

Worthy upgrade! As much as you have to change the oil on the 450, I think this is a good investment.

Ive got 430 miles on my 23, so Im getting close to the first oil change. Ive read all the horror stories and was thinking of this taco plug. Hopefully its not to hard to get off the first time. Ill make sure to oil and lightly snug it up.

I'd say if it gives you trouble coming off, just go slow, don't use a huge breaker bar or anything like that. It's the over-leveraging that strips threads.

I broke a bolt to the skid plate and the other side was loose

I wonder if the factory torque job caused the issue on your last oil change? I don’t remember if that problem happened with your first change?

This was my second change actually, so unfortunately I couldn't blame it on honda, lol. My guess is with a series of short trips I took the difference in heat cycles between the aluminum case and the steel bolt tightened itself.
