Would love to hear tips from anyone else about dating in medicine - especially if there are any dual doctor couples out there that can give us their different opinions :) Also, feel free to leave comments asking any other questions that Nikki and I might have missed
@@nxtgenmdI go to my neurologist she has other doctors that come in I'm a male how can I do it without getting told that my father is always in the room I can never ask should I ask my neurologist to look around for me Nowadays women lie on you and are accusing sexual content
Did many of your classmates stay in the relationships they started in during med school? I'm a first year and one of the seniors said 80 percent of their cohort started med in relationships and by 3rd/4th year it was like 30 percent. I'm my year about 90 percent of my cohort are in relationships!
I don't know percentages but definitely many couples broke up in the first 3-4 months of med school. On the other hand though quite a few of my classmates started dating and then applied to couples match together for residency :)
where do you guys get the heart to fall in love in first year med school?. 3% of us started relationships, in year one, all crushed, but those who started in 3rd /4th year made it.
Just curious… how come you two don’t live together? Is it for personal reasons (not ready to take that step in your relationship) or practical ones (like where your jobs/ families are, etc.)?
you either pursue medicine and you basically spend the rest of your life saving people and have no time to yourself or you pursue a cushy tech job, however, you'll feel like you're not getting anywhere closer to your max potential and end up hating your job. such a predicament that's life
Delayed gratification - it WILL get better and even now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel in regards to having a better work-life balance. Work hard and keep your goals in mind but do the things you enjoy. That's my advice anyways 💪
