I haven't dated Japanese girls (yet), but I ave dated Asian girls in general (used to live there) and it seems to me, that Asian girls and Western men are particularly well-matched, they really complement each other very well. There are lots of varied and complicated reasons why, but I would guess this trend will continue to grow in the future. There are of course cultural, linguistic and religious barriers to overcome, but it is well worth the effort. An additional bonus with Japanese women over other Asians, is that they come from a culture and speak a language that is well worth studying on its own merits and since they already come from a rich, first-world country, they can't be accused of being after that elusive green card or passport.

I don’t know if “aggressive” is quite right. But straightforward frankness seems to be a winner. Given that social norms require certain division of public and private face, it must be somewhat relaxing to not have to do that.

Here in Croatia we really respect Japanese culture and when a random Croat is being asked to name a far away country he'd like to visit - Japan is often a first choice.

Besides that though, weightlifting is good for your health, and women will like the way you look which will increase your dating chances. Just really takes a half hour at the gym 3-4 times a week.

Theres actually 2 types American and Japanese otaku.
I'm an American otaku. I like anime and I know and recognize a lot of anime. I prefer anime to say, movies or TV shows like orange is the new black, american horror story, or marvel or dc movies.
But I'm not a Japanese otaku, which is a shut in, that watches only anime, collects figures and plushies, etc but basically a person that wont be able to live by themselves because they generally will prioritize their hobby over food, work, and cleanliness.
If you work, shower, and can make an effort to be a suffer able human being, you probably wont be ridiculed for liking something.
I heard there's like a huge expectations there for western people sooo... yeah you might have to live up to their expectations

@@lenitaa7938 you are probably right. They don't accept any misbehaviour. Things that would be considered bad here but not the end of the world are harshly treated in Japan from what I can gather.
For example I'm quite the avid rugby follower. Large companies in Japan have semi pro rugby teams, made up of players sourced from the company workforce and they have up to 3 foreign professional rugby players per team. They technically work for the company though.
Anyways one such team had a foreign player who was caught driving while having consumed alcohol. Frowned upon in our culture but so long as you didn't kill anyone or cause an accident it's not seen as that huge of an issue. You'd be given a chance to learn and not do it again or let yourself down, you may get suspended at worst fired.
The company didn't just punish the player they liquidated the entire rugby team, and stopped playing rugby altogether!

We were greatly in love and nothing could change that. It was not just a physical thing but love from the heart, looks did not make so much a thing as our agreement to life. Well, he said that when it comes to him teaching japanese he couldn't really express some sentences in English therefore it made learning harder for his students so he chose to teach Japanese in Japanese so students will eventually get used to sounds of that language and start catching up faster, and i believe it's easier for him to do it in native language and add subtittles in post-production. (Might be wrong tho... but he made vid about this topic)
