tommy is actually a much more proficient guitar player than ace ever was, however ace did write the great kiss riffs we know and love if you actually look at technical skill on guitar tommy stomps ace.
Great replacement! I hate all the “tribute band” comments. KISS has always gone through numerous members. And at this point Eric and Tommy have been with the band almost twice as long as either original members!

Ok I gotta comment cause later that night I was at this show in about the same place as this was filmed. It was my first time seeing the band in a number of years and only time seeing them with Tommy. Just my two cents but it was a disappointment compared to when I saw the original reunion back in 1996. It just felt wrong for Eric & Tommy to he in that make up. It made me wish they had let them make their own characters. I know that sounds weird but that's what I came away feeling. The band was solid but it wasn't the same as the reunion.
