In Todays video we're diving deep into the Turbo 2 RX-7 FC's fuel system! This thing has been parked for over 14 years which means there are many things wrong with it! Today we're going to get one step closer to getting this legend back on the road by completely replacing its fuel system!

Title: Reviving A Legend! - This RX-7 Was Left To Rot...
If you were asking yourself: YES the 14 year old gas smelled as bad as you think it does😂 Make sure to stick along and subscribe to stay updated :) Enjoy!
that golf must be happy he got attention and fuel
The 14 year old fuel was literally the best thing the golf has gotten in a long time😂
@@moritzherr yeah i bet that golf would take anything as fuel by now🤣
Don't forget to replace your fuel pump wiring since FCs are notorious for the aged, stock fuel pump wires dropping your pump's input voltage way down. At the very least, make sure your pump is getting the full 12 volts it needs to run properly. (otherwise your engine may run lean and go boom)
Thanks for the reminder man! :) Yes I was planning to check the connection and the well known voltage issue is excactly why I went for a upgraded fuel pump in the first place. So in case it drops below 13/12V it still has mire juice than the OEM pump👍
Great video bro keep it up🔥🔥
Thanks mate!🙏
FCs have a drain plug in the tank! :)
Lol now I feel dumb😂 Thanks for the info mate :)
hey that small hat looking thing on the primary rail is a fuel pulsation damper. its known to split and leak gas causing engine fires. i would suggest putting a banjo bolt in place of the damper to keep things safe
Hey there, thanks for the reminder! :) I got the same comment already and I immeadiatly ordered a new FPD. Isn't putting a banjo bolt in kinda problematic? Because obviously there is no fuel damper anymore then.
@@moritzherrso the fpd is there to absorb the changes in pressure from the opening and closing of the injectors. it was used as a way to smooth idle control in older cars. a good condition rubber fuel hose will absorb the pulses and with the adjustable fpr you should be fine. let me know if you have any more questions
the golf lmaoo
Yeah the old lady was really happy to get some nice fresh 14 year old fuel😂
Amazing video, it's coming together really nice!
Thanks mate, I'm happy you like it so far✌️
damn bro this is far too much of a quality content for the recognition you get. i honestly thought ur one of the bigger car channels before i looked at your sub count.
Hey man thank you for the support! Honestly the best compliment to get!🙏
@@moritzherr haha no prob just remember me when you get big and build me a badass car. jk but if you ever feel like wanting some original music for youself feel free to reach out to me. i suck at music making but maybe i'll get better.
Great quality videos, always excited to see a new upload! Keep it up. Love the FC
Thanks for the support man!😍
Ryosuke Takahashi approves
I'm honored🙏
4:55 That's not glue, that's actually just rubber that goes under the pump, possibly to stop vibration and to hold it in place. Over time the fuel melts the rubber and turns it into that mess. The same thing happened to mine, I don't know why Mazda chose to make it rubber. OEM replacements come with new rubbers as well.
Ahh very good to know, thanks man! :) Yeah kind of a weird decision to make this piece from rubber😅
BTW Google us eBay not UK. There should be a listing of fiberglass s5 trim all around for 3-500 I was pretty upset because s5 oem is like a grand but now talking with u. Akagi white comet.!
Waiting for next episode! Happy easter btw
Glad you're enjoying it😁 Thanks mate, you too have a nice easter time! :)
the pump and that gasoline varnish turned the rubber sleeve into mush
14 year old fuel?! That must have smelled terrible
Da ist er wieder!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Jawolleck!😁🙏
u shudve went id1050x injector dynamics... Look me up. Only injectors to trust for oem idle to high atomization
i love the fc keep up the great videos
Thank you, I'm happy you're enjoying it! :)
also my man replace that fuel damper that's the reason savanna burn down on the track
real talk get a new rail damper.
Thanks for the reminder😅 Totally forgot about it and immeadiatly ordered one, once I saw the comment :)
looks amazing brother
Thanks mate!😍✌️
❤❤
Another amazing video dude looking great dude🙏🏿
Thank you very much man, glad you like it!😍
Woher hast du die Injektoren?
Sehr unterhaltsam weiter so :)
Danke dir :) Von KSM Motorsport soweit ich das richtig in Erinnerung habe.
ayy I got the same model 0:20, don't have the same car though :(
That's awesome😂 Well at least now you know what to get next!
got a question, what rims are you going to rock for the FC?
Good question but I really don't want to spoil it already😁 But a little hint: It's a custom order for a legendary wheel produced on request in Japan. That should narrow it down quite a bit🤫
@@moritzherr no idea might do research about it but i hope its watanabes
@@moritzherroh meister s13p then😜
nice bro
what is the song playing at 2:25?
Meant To Be - Flint :)
@@moritzherr thank you love you
Why use cable ties to secure pump? Why no clamp?
Mainly because I didn't have a fitting clamp😂 Also the cable tie method is what I've always used whenever I changed a fuel pump and I never ran into any problems :)
Nylon is typically resistant to oils and fuels. Should be stable in gasoline rich environment.
@@moritzherr im just couldnt trust nylon on something like this😂😂
@@mrs_radrod Very interesting to know! :)
@@mokujin6507Sure you can. Most modern fuel pump baskets are made of nylon these days?
