Very very cool 1972 S coin(s)! Thanks for sharing! Never seen that IKE error before. I have some super nice business strike IKES, and about (12) 1972's. Last time I pulled them out, I know "for sure" I have two types. Type 1 & Type 3. However, one of those was slightly different then both mentioned. Next time I go through my IKE collection, I was planning on photographing them all. They truly are all in superb condition, and I got super lucky by asking the bank one day for any half dollars or dollar coins. These definitely came from someones collection.

Excellent info, J&B! No, I have no Ikes :( He was my absolute favorite President as a child, so I would know if I'd had one. I always figured he was so very proud and strong looking. Maybe some day.

A few years back in high school I was working the food booth after my basketball game, I was on JV, and Varsity was going to start soon, before that I went to go help out, some kid pajd with an Ike dollar, I dont think its the rare one, but I'll have to check again. No I didnt steal it, I told the person running the booth what it was and he said I could have it for a dollar, I paid.

I have this in UNC condition but it was stored in the original plastic and when I shipped it to PCGS they sent it back due to contamination from the plastic!

I've got five 1972 Ike dollars but judging by the circulation condition I doubt worth that much. But I do love the size of large dollars and that's the reason why I've held on to my Ike's
I have a few 1972 Eisenhower dollars F you in good condition but I can't magnify enough to get the full scope of the Moon but thanks for the info again and I will keep you posted when I get better magnification

Ah man, I have to look when I can!! Have many 72 ike dollars and I know some have errors and toning!! Wouldn't it be sweet to have all four errors!! No S mint marks but could have the rare proof strike mistake too!! Who knows?? Thanks J&B!!

I have one 1972 Ike dollar that the letters LI are missing and the B is not that clear. I’m wondering if this is an error or due to simply wear.
I have TWO of these coins! One 1972 with a D print and the type 1 with the 3 islands on it. Would it be worth anything? The other is with the liberty bell through 1776-1976. Could you do more videos please??

Hey you tubers my dad used to collect Ike's. I dug out what was left of his jar of coins. Nothing but some tokens and Canadian pennys. But !!! I found a. 41d Merc dime split bands and a buff nickel it says 1929 on the cardboard but my eyes don't see it

I have both the type one and the type 3. And I'm noticing at first glance that the eagle is bigger on type 3 then type one and that the diameter of the coin is also bigger on type 3 then 1. Type 1 weighing 22.52 type 3 weighing 22.72
I would think that the proof coins would be priced higher than most coins.
Hola, I revived a 1972 ike dollar from a customer as tip. Its a type 3 I believe in not 100% it has no mint print so I'm going to guess it Philly mint.
