Thomas Hayden Church Sandman is one of the most underrated Marvel Movie bad guys, he took a basic bank robber teir bad guy and made him a sympathetic and understandable character. This guy will work very well for my upcoming Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends vs the Elementals Stop Motion! Thomas Hayden Church and Rhys Ifans where unable to physically be on set for No Way Home so thats why Sandman is all sandy.
Yeah I always loved Church's performance in Spider-Man 3...he's easily the best thing in that underwhelming movie. Very tragic character that you feel sorry for. I thought it was great in NWH when he shows up, and one of the first things he's says his something like "What do you need, Peter?", showing he's a decent guy with a moral code. Always liked the character in the comics, especially after he became a good guy...and even a brief member of The Avengers.
how can the movie even be underwhelming. it was pretty awesome all the way until the church tower scene. the end was rushed but even then i think if they kept eddie alive it would have been great setup. especially if at last scene they show topher grace in prison all bulked up (which im not sure he is physically capable of). but yea thomas was every bit as good as alfred molinas ock.
It's Thomas Haden Church, Shart lol maybe you're thinking of Hayden Christensen. I always thought, that just a few seconds of screen time could have addressed his sand form. Imagine if Doc Ock and and Norman were addressing his condition. "You used to look normal?" "I could, but now I can only get this far" "Well it's certainly good we're addressing this. Your atomic structure is unstable, it's degenerating."
I mean, I took his appearance in No Way Home as Sandman just accepting hid form and no longer puts effort to pretend to be human or to put color into his forms
I wish he was an inch or so bigger since in the movie he's at least a head taller than Tom's Spider-Man and the figure just kinda isn't. Not too big of an issue but I really like when Sandman is bigger, especially when its building-sized like in Spider-Man 2. Good review as always!
Shart, your breakdowns and your vibes regarding spiderman ALWAYS delivers. Love ya dude, been appreciating your content since 2013. 10 years of starting hard af in my pants. Never change. Thanks for honest humble reviews.
I'm happy we did get sandman in this form. Reminds me of the scene in spider-man 3 when he was transforming and trying to stand. And pictures with Tobey are badass and it shows you can play with your imagination and say Tobey did had a fight with sandman in this form cause why not. But one thing I'm bummed is you didn't swap his big opened hands to the retro one and we don't know if they fit or not ; p
I just wish he had a second ball joint at the waist, the fact the cut isn't there actually throws off the look and obviously would pose better with it too. Great review bro!
i was looking for nice sandman because there exists none and then i started to imagine the perfect one and then i notice how close this is yet its awful. why couldnt they make human version of this. the serious face as opposed to maniac one, the human shaped form instead of giant mallets and random shapes. if this guy looked like the normal thomas haden with striped shirt but had one normal hand and the other one sligthly enlarged and in sand form it would be perfect. i never cared much for sandman in way of looks but thomas hadens more serious and stable version was wonderful
I always took sandman being permanently sand form as a degeneration in his powers, like it’s gotten worse for him over time. As a fan of both raimi and webb films, No Way Home did a good job catching up with characters from those past films, sandman and electro were characters I alway wondered what happened after their initial film. With Electro I never believed he truly died because he was electricity, No Way Home perfectly this off for when he acknowledged it by saying “I got my body back.” The movie just worked for me.
This goes for shart, and everybody, which figure is better to buy, 80th anniversary iron man, or kraven from two pack both complete, both the price of 37$. What are your opinions
I believe due to scheduling conflicts Thomas Haden Church couldn’t make it there physically for the movie but was able to offer his voice
What the fuck other b movie or t show could he be doing that was more important.
he is so bad at managing his schedule then LOL
@@__-wm9luit was cause of Covid complications. Remember the whole thing was filmed during the peak of the pandemic. Same thing with lizard.
But he was able to do the 3 second scene.

Cool review. FYI the Actor's name is Thomas Haden Church

They did Sandman dirty in no way home movie.
This figure was one of the ones I was going to pass on, but I recently picked him up and he is one of my favourite figures!
I just wish he had a second ball joint at the waist, the fact the cut isn't there actually throws off the look and obviously would pose better with it too. Great review bro!
they did say the electro and lizard are coming too! hopefully sooner rather than later!
what is this? 0:45
It's Thomas Hayden Church that plays Sandman. Not Christian.
I got the Marvel Legends Sandman and Doctor Octopus. I just wish it released Electro and The Lizard since they also appear in the No Way Home movie
I’ll be the responsible one here and just say it, missed opportunity here for a sandy cheeks SpongeBob reference or picture 😂😂 4:25
He only gets that big (like a building-size) when he’s around enough other sand to absorb and add on to himself.
Looked it up. Dafoe is 5’9 & Church is 5’11
My son would appreciate this figure. He really liked the last Sandman figure a lot. It's one of his top ten Marvel Legends.
I feel like i heard that him and lizard couldnt make it due to covid restrictions
Great figure. Feels awesome, great sculpt. Thomas Haden Church likeness is on point!
Been a fan of your videos ever since i was 9 man, keep it up much love to you🙏🖤
Yesterday i saw this , mj , and matt murdock at target i wish they had green goblin or andrew but its fine didnt pick up anything btw

It was filmed during Covid, that's why they couldn't get him or Rhys Irfans on set and had to reuse scenes/use their voices.
Love if we got an Electro 2-Pack. One as his No Way Home version and the other as his Amazing Spider-Man 2 version.
No giant fists is a letdown .
I'm still very happy with my Toybiz Sandman, and will stick with him in my display (just like the Toybiz Lizard)... 😄
I've been waiting for a sandman shartumus review
Personally the select is still my favorite sandman.
I think he wasn't shown in human form is because he had a very huge change in appearance since Spider-Man 3
*Thomas Hayden Church
Just decided to buy him today. Thank you for the review.
great job about Needed Pick Up? Marvel Legends Sandman Action Figure from Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
Needed a screaming head and he's too short. Otherwise, its cool
I mean since the movie was filmed during the pandemic he was probably strict about gathering with people
Sayin 2 different actors in one 😂

Yeah im pretty sure i remember interviews of jamie foxx saying that "electricity never dies" hinting hed be back for the planned sinister six film
great review man love ur vids

A little bit late but I think you should go for Kraven
Did you get a doc Ock?
Doc ock hasn't released in the US yet
But Sandman IS overpowered in Spiderman 3 AND the comics. The only thing that holds him back is he isnt as smart as your Goblins or Octopuses.
Flint Marko, who is stuck in his sand form, must go with the flow to get himself back home.
Not a bad figure🤷🏾
I don't like the figure and I hated Sandman in no way home he looks better in Spider-Man 3
Nice first
