@@TheBetaNetwork it's pretty good but Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen combat play is better and even more satisfying imo. This is more hack and slash like Darksiders where Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen takes more skill and timing like dark souls but it's much faster. I think it's Dragons Dogma that has action RPG combat mechanics to a t. You can do combinations as well like this game but with the ability to climb big enemies to hit them on the head and in their eyes. Very satisfying feeling mechanics for sure. Better game overall imo. More realistic looking like skyrim but not as detailed of course and more dungeons and dragons like game. If you never played it I highly highly recommend you do. Epic soundtrack as well. Imo overall it's the best RPG of all time just for the combat alone and the monsters plus the character customization involved is insane. Yeah it has it flaws but what RPG game doesn't lol. But no RPG even up until now does not do a lot of things like what's involved in Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen. Extremely creative game and can't wait for Dragons Dogma 2 coming out in 2023 from what I understand. Seems so far away lol uughh

All you told about story, characters etc, it's true. But I'm playing this game for Leveling up, loot, combat ,and making better builds and testing builds.
I hope that fatesworn will bring us Boss fight that have the same powers that we have, the reckoning mode. So he can go into reckoning mode, be faster and stronger. That would be a good challenge if made properly.

Love the music and in some way I like it better then Oblivion.About the third year playing Skyrim I was Board vs Reckoning. Loved the fable & WOW art stile and the Armor. I don’t like the camera angle it gives you sometimes and the fight like God of war way more weapon classes then Skyrim.
Fable and Kingdoms of Amalur are my favorite games. I love the worlds in both games.

I have the original, but it shuts down every few minutes since my laptop battery died. I'm playing on an Asus ROG 16GB RAM, i7 8th Gen CPU, NVDIA 1060 6GB RAM. I play the newest games on High-Ultra mix... I was hoping this re-release would fix whatever is happening. If anyone has experienced anything similar please let me know, especially if this game runs better! This is one of the BEST RPGs ever made. I miss the shit out of it.
Hmm... if your laptop shuts down every few minutes, maybe it's overheating? Or you just have to replace the dead battery as it may have triggered the shutdown due to bad coding of safety protocol. I very much doubt the re-release will fix your problem.
@@DragonLightz She's clean and healthy, it's got to be the lack of battery causing the shutdown because it's very uncommon. I run heavy titles and she doesn't even sweat. I also have an amazing cooling pad. Thanks so much for replying! 🤘 🖤
I bought the re-reckoning and didn't know it is the same game as the previous reckoning..
Still on the fence about getting this. I’m not a fan of this style of game, but I’m craving a new RPG...and by this style, I mean games like dragon’s dogma, Witcher (yes, I’m on an island by myself) and dragon age.
This game is well worth your time. Especially since Dragon's Dogma and Witcher are both on the list when you Google "games like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning."

The Beta Network I’ve scoured the internet for an action RPG and still haven’t found anything that I haven’t discovered yet with Triple A quality, that isn’t a medieval fantasy (despise that art style and senseless gore)...maybe I’m asking for too much, because all the games I truly want are on PlayStation, yet I opted out on it because I wanted to wait for a ps5. Now I’m here suffering.

Just bought the game today and found out there was a new one coming out the 2012 one
I think this is an awesome game overall for its time,and still a GOOD game if u add some cool sharpening shaders using for example the reshaders from nexusmods in the kingdoms of amalur category!
The gameplay is really the srongest point with the parry mechanic,also lots of flashy abilities options and schemes(like having persuasion for dialog).
Story rich,makes u feel like a god,like visiting the greek mithology,visiting pirate islands full of pirate skeletons wildlife and people to rescue and add to your island Keep!! where u can buy sell and make new items,gather items and collect them(these are not even the full DLCs).
The environment looks huge, and feels sizeable AT LEAST full of treasures and quests. It originally was gonna be a big MMO for EA so it makes sense that the map looks huge and feels full of stuff to do,cool stuf,kinda rarely just collecting stuff.
The best thing is the full audio for dialogs which makes the story reach you and gap the immersion and game experience with the diverse very good story.

This game is so underrated it's a crime
This is 16x the detail than a bethesda game
The WoW art style really looks bland but this is the closest i can get to play a WoW without sacrificing my whole life grinding

I'm into ARPG as well and this game is the best of it's kind
The fate skill/class system is by far the best mechanic in a choose your own adventure kind of game
It's really up to you what you're play style is not just freedom of cosmetics there's no limitation of what you can do
Wish more games follow this implementation

This has got to be the biggest click bait review I've ever seen. It hardly ever goes into depth about the actual core differences between the 2012 version vs the 2020 one...
I can't wait to play this game on a next-gen console as its SSD may hopefully decrease the loading scene time frequent in this game.

@@TheBetaNetwork Not to my knowledge, and I very much doubt it since the devs belong to an indie company with limited resources. As the game now stands, it's graphically very similar to the OG(PC). Fortunately, it's also PS4 pro enhanced: 4K
Ahhhh ok, that makes sense! The ports for games from current-gen to next-gen are actually really expensive, from what I've heard recently! It's apparently not just a simple up-res and that's it, there's a lot more to it

I love this game I only played this game for like a month on my uncles ps3 but besides that I only owned skyrim and fable 2 for my Xbox and now I get to play a better version of this now for my ps4

Oh man, losing a save file is normally a massive pain. Though in this case, I think it's a blessing in disguise :)

Was a great review til you tried to put down Todd MacFarlane and Dragonlance writers.
I have this for the Xbox 360 it came out the same time as Mass Effect 3 but unlike that crappy game this one is fantastic.Hower the Teeth of Naros DLC has a bug which has never been sorted out in which you are required to delete it and reinstall it every time you play the game.Oh and I also like the Mass Effect 3 armour and omi blades you get with this game.

I know the 3DS remake for Zelda: Ocarina of Time kept the same glitches in from the original for a more authentic experience, but if what you're describing about KOA is true, than that's just straight-up maddening 😔
It's like who would've thought Mass Effect 3 armour would work in this game? Yet, it somehow does. And yeah, some of the weapon types are super fun to play!

@@TheBetaNetwork The game isn't hard even on the hardest difficulty but it is very enjoyable and a favourite of mine.
Yeah, it is a great game! And once you get into the groove, the difficulty does become very manageable.
I think you'd like the Devil May Cry series actually. Even though it's not an RPG, the combat is pretty similar and has a lot more flashy combos that you can pull off - it's super fun!

Amalur is way better then Skyrim. Not oblivion. I say that because Skyrim can barely be called an rpg. I am praying avowed brings the oblivionish mechanics back.

In my experience when I first played it was like it won't end ....soo loved it and everytime I speak an tell someone they never heard it ...man how could ...they not play ...like .....
I found a awsome glicht for the game fable ...in the arena dude I never ever seen anyone do it to make that amount of experience and money in the beginning of the fable am like a beast dude then I went after the skorm bow an plenty more rare one when u have to donate money and get the master great axe which is fun.....love the way u show videos...awsome ....dude... many love from me .......thanks again ..
King Dom of amalur..was a brilliant game to be honest but I wish rather then given away junk were can we see that amount of junk we seĺl cause I had a serious amour which it was level 34 finesse..and I was about put it in my stash ended up putting it in the junk so the next day I played I sold it through my inventory I regret it dude ...like why ..then crazy stuff happen....loool ...still plays it on it for 8 hours a day got it the day it came out on ps4 within the week finished an again playing ...awsome ...
