Many thanks for posting this! I thought people got wiser and more knowledgeable as they got older! It seems there are exceptions. The last 2 first round contests were rather low scoring. Let's hope the semi-finals are better!!

Did anyone else find it annoying that White seemed only ever to confer with Blake, while completely ignoring Brown and Clune?

Well he’s blind so his movements might appear to suggest that but that’s probably not the case. You might think turning and looking at someone to listen to them is intuitive and natural but it’s irrelevant to someone that’s blind. He clearly wasn’t ignoring Brown and Clune anyway because he was saying answers given to him by them.
