You need midgame no matter how good you are with openers and continuations. However, infds doesn't count as midgaming in my book.

Quite a few people get stuck once they hit a certain point because they rely on openers, so I don't recommend it as a high level player... most top players are good enough to counter them and the top 10 will straight up kill you with what you send them, even against the fastest 5+ pps openers
