Rock music has loud drums. I wouldn't ask Audioslave to do it any other way. Drums in rap/R&B/hip hop/etc are supposed to be complementary. Drums/percussion in alt/rock/punk/grunge/etc are supposed to be like this live session. I think the drums here were ON POINT. Made me want to dance and jump around and have a good time.
Drums are mad loud, esp in a studio. I agree w both of u. Yes the drumming is awesome, on other hand, they kinda swallowed her up at times. I think if her mic was turned up louder, it would've been better. I live w a drummer, I know what it is. The reason ppl kept bringing up the drums, for instance, when I want to blast that song in my ride, I hear more drums than her.
