- This is part one of my Isle of Skye adventures, part two will be released very soon and there are even more highland adventures on the horizon.
Just like my first attempt at the fairy pools, your first attempt at jumping back into the dating pool may not always be how you'd imagined. It can seem perfect but that doesn’t mean once you dive in you’ll feel magical. It is important to remind yourself: this isn’t your fault. In my case the sun wasn't shining.
However, if you retreat, wait and return unafraid you might find that the sun has changed position and it is just how you imagined.

Speaking as someone who takes 5 minutes to lower myself into a heated indoor pool I have to say I was mightily impressed by your plunge. These weekly tastes of Scotland are a real tonic for exiles, and make me pine for my next trip north. Many thanks for sharing your adventures with us

Hi Fiona ( or should that be Ariel, the little mermaid). Skye is my favourite place on the planet. I'm hopefully taking my youngest daughter on a road trip in the Summer to the NW of Scotland & Skye as the fairy pools are one of the places she wants to visit. When the weather is like that, the so-called misty isle is unparalleled in it's beauty. You keep inspiring with your vlogs, love them xx

Just been to the Fairy Pools and devastated by the erosion alongside the pools. I felt guilty for going - such a shame.

Just discovered your wonderful channel. I'm going to the west Highlands and Skye next May, literally can't wait. Hoping for a sunny, warm 10 days. I've only driven across Skye to get the Uist ferry, I want to see it all. Not sure brave enough to jump in but will bring my cossie anyway. Wonderful, thanks so much ❤️

That was amazing place to swim . I'm hoping to get out solo camping soon. I have all my gear just need to get time. I am enjoying your videos. Just recently divorced a few weeks ago. I just want to get out and do adventures but cant get the time . I just have to make time Great videos keep up the good work

Missed out on wild camp in the Lake District with a friend last weekend as i was still getting over Covid from the end of May. Disappointing as i have never been.

I have cycled around Skye, taking part in a sportif. This makes me want to revisit. Great footage, the weather has been kind to you. Looking forward to part two.
I'm planning on doing a wee cycling tour Pauline so I may have to come to you for some tips and advice! Skye is so very beautiful. I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot more adventures there! 😊

How beautiful! I love seeing your adventures. Wish i was brave enough to go out and solo wildcamp and swim in lovely places. But i am scared and haven't camped in years though i was given a small tent for my birthday this year...
It sounds like you need a coaching session to help you build that confidence! There's no doubt about it, it is daunting deciding to do something like that but once you're there and sitting beside your tent and you're surrounded by nature and peace and quiet....well there's nothing quite like it. Please let me know if you manage to get out for that camp. Maybe go with a friend for your first time and work up to the solo camp. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Best wishes 😊

I would have had a much larger cup of tea after I got out!!!! Assuming I took the plunge to begin with.
Hahaha its a very small cup but I had a full flask so had about 10 of them!! Do you do any wild swimming yourself?
@@FarForFiona To be honest when I go on my canoe trips, once September rolls around I don't go more than knee deep. Maybe that will change.

I've not yet been up the Cuillins. It's on my list of adventures because I believe it's quite striking up there! Never been brave enough to do them before. 😊
They are quite imposing, you need a good head for heights but the views are spectacular. As always I love your videos fiona

First video I've seen of yours and I must say it was really rather beautiful. I loved the piece right after your dip in the pool, you were so lost in the moment I thought you were going to break, which would have made it more beautiful. @@FarForFiona You are most welcome kid. My daughter says I pick up people's emotions well, and I often know how she feels before she does. It's really not hard with some people because like her, you wear your emotions and I doubt if either of you could hide them even if you stuck your head in a cardboard box 😀. I mean that as a compliment because it is a rare quality, not a failing. See you in a future installment. Or as Spencer Tracy would would say, "See you at sundown". 💛

Haha yes I’ve seen some folk with those. I’ve put off getting one at the moment. It takes the fun out of guessing it at about 5 degrees less than it actually is 🤣

The divorce came before the divorce coaching I'm afraid! I help people rebuild their lives and get back out there after a divorce....just like I did (and am still doing) after mine! It's why I became a divorce coach in the first place 😊
