    What size of cord did you use??

    Thanks for a lovely pattern! I’m very much a beginner. I’ve used a standard cotton macrame cord to make smaller coasters but those don’t seem to want to lay flat and straight. Would you ever block a cotton macrame cording project or do you think that process would help at all? Tia :)

      Hi! thank you for commenting and trying the pattern! I've never tried with the standard cord, but I think you can benefit from steaming and pressing to make it flat 😊Please let me know how it turned out! I am also curious.

    Can this pattern be enlarged to make a placement? I am wondering if it would curl or not lay flat if it is made larger.

      Honestly, I haven’t tried yet, so I am not sure. That’s a great idea! I will try that 😊 although, I might go with the lighter macrame cord for a placement.

    How many meters did you use to make this? Wondering how many I could make out of 100 meter ball

    One row with a slip stitch on the ends and then one row with purl on the end? I am very new to knitting, learning on this pattern in fact. I keep losing track of what row end is which. Any suggestions?

    • @evmays
      @evmays 8 месяцев назад +1

      Both ends have the slip and purl. So first row, slip both the first and last stitch. Second row, purl both the first and last stitch. Continue in that every other row pattern with both the slip and purl for first and last stitches. When you need to purl the first stitch, the working yarn will not be attached to the first stitch, but on the second, so that’s how you know when to purl

      Exactly what @evmays said. Thank you for the great explanation 😊❤️

      @evmays thank you for this clarification. I'm teaching myself to knit from this pattern and have started over twice already. I'm remember your advice of where the yarn is and whether to purl or not. Thank you 🥰

    Do you know if it’s possible to get this look by using a crochet needle? I can’t find a pattern.

    • @PalmeriKnits
      @PalmeriKnits  Год назад

      Do you mean like the hybrid of knitting needles and crochet hook? Honestly, I've never tried, so I can't 100% tell. But as long as you know how to do knit stitch and purl stitch, you are all set. This is the direct link to the free pattern. palmericrafts.com/2022/05/macrame-cord-trivet-summer-knitting/ I am interested to hear how you did. Please keep me posted 😊

    Any tips for finding the beginning of the Bobbiny skein? I ended up rolling it, which isn't ideal.

      @@PalmeriKnits Thank you! There IS a secret to using it directly from the skein (and not rolling)! Much appreciated, Eri!

      That must be frustrating! Are you using the same cord as suggested? or a different type/fiber?

    What size needle do you recommend for this?

    • @PalmeriKnits

      I used US 15 (10mm) with the gauge of 9st x 18 rows in 4” square.

    What grommet size did you use

    • @PalmeriKnits
      @PalmeriKnits  11 месяцев назад

      I used a leather rivet and not a grommet. It came with the tag as a set when I custom-ordered via Etsy. The store no longer exists, so I cannot find the size...but I believe 6mm, considering I used a 5mm cord. 8mm might be easier to apply.

      Hi @kimmyjuppy4435 I am so sorry I thought I replied to your comment but I just realized I've never posted the reply! Are you using the braided cord? or different kind of cord?

    Too fast slow down and explain in more detail. Just an observation

      Thank you for your review. If you feel it is too fast, there is an option to slow the video speed on the right bottom corner. I think the option will come handy in the future 😊
