We heard now announcements about new Star Wars films and Disney Plus shows. We explored the show floor and discovered amazing Star Wars cosplays. We shopped at the Star Wars Celebration Store for exclusive merchandise.

The Chirrut Îmwe cosplay at 6:40 was actually crazy good!
This was a learning experience for me. Next time, I’m gonna go all days so I won’t miss out on the panels. But when I went on Sunday, I felt so overwhelmed trying to find the main store. Also I didn’t get a swag bag when I got my wristband on Tuesday 😣
I can unequivocally say this is the best Star Wars content I’ve seen in years.

I am so happy this video gives us a look at the madness that is SW Celebration. This year looked insane. Kinda glad I didn't go this year.. But still had a lil FOMO. Great video!
So glad you captured some of the mania of a "Con." I went to NY ComicCon last year - did the "Clear pass/ vaccine check-in" and got through security "early" only to be escorted (with others of course) to the bowels of the Javit's center and we too were in what I called the "largest cattle holding area" I had ever seen. I was dressed in layers as Doctor Strange Supreme (from What If) with a cotton face mask on and they made us wait and wait and wait - same as you - no AC and with thousands of fans, for a couple of hours. When they "rang the bell," to officially enter, I got amazing footage of people booking it onto the convention floors to shop and explore - it was like a human horse race!
BUT...as you mentioned, the. Cosplay (and people's creativity, over all) were what made it all worth it. Plus, on the day I attended, it was unseasonably warm - almost 90 in October (in NY) so that was fun (not).
In NYCC, they do the merchandise in a slightly different way but the lines are just as crazy and sometimes, by the time you get there, many things are sold out - but I'll "take it" over what you went through. I know some vendors, like Funko, do a "Lottery system" so maybe Celebrations (for the future) can implement something like that to minimize the mania.
Since I opted not to attend Celebration this year - mostly due to Covid concerns (even though my family lives 20 minutes away and I would have had a place to stay) I was following many people on Instagram and many reported the horror of the official merch store (that you experienced live). Glad you got cool. stuff and you are an angel for buying stuff for friends - which is great - the rest of us have to deal with the eBay "Pirates" as I call them.
Sorry to ramble - love your demeanor, candor and acerbic wit in your vlogs! Excited to watch the rest of your experience.

Same here Kevin, I spent almost $700 dollars on clothes from the Celebration store for both my sisters and their husbands as a very early birthday gift for all of them.
Hey, glad I spotted you and said hi in the store that day. Sadly the whole store was a mess, I should know I went all 4 searching for just a plaid shirt in large that they never had. The whole store was barren and poorly managed all through the week.

This was my first convention and I had tons of fun, but mostly because I had 4 days to do everything. For people that only had a day or two I completely understand the frustrations. A lot of choices had to made in advance and if you didn’t you were doomed with long lines. Still, one of the best weekends of my life with my family! I spotted us in that giant crowd too! Hahah 11:45
That convention room looked like a heard of cattle being led to the slaughter.

Jajajaja the famous 5 hour line is back 🙌, is a tradition of SW Celebration, jajajaja this year i saw all the show on RUclips, next year is on London and already near by hotels are all booked up, the Force is crazy

I don't mind lines so much, as long as I'm SURE I'm in the right one! There have been too many times, I've gotten in a big, long line, only to find out it was the wrong one. Even worse, I got in the right line for the panel, but, it turned out to be the "VIP" line, and I was "general admission". I wasn't allowed in. I scrambled to get to the other line, but I was so far back, the room filled up, and I couldn't get in. I wasted over an hour getting there early, only to find out I was in the wrong line for the right panel. (The Science of Star Wars) BUMMER!!!
At Comic Con, I'm usually in "Cosplay", as "The Greatest American Hero". The time passes quickly when you visit about your character, and other characters. It's also nice when you have railings that you can lean on. I do want to go to a Star Wars Celebration convention, though I don't have any Star Wars Costume. I would just go in street clothes.

Star Wars galactic pals have not appeared at the Disneyland Resort. However, they have at Target stores since the first week of May.

Insanity! The lines for the store don’t seem any different than the lines to get the official Comic-Con stuff, although the Comic-Con stuff is all pre-purchase. Some of the Celebration Store things are pretty cool, but I don’t think I would have the patience to bother when there are so many cool thing inside the exhibit hall. Nice to see you run into Peter and Kitra.

Lol....yeah, queues are a bit of a nightmare. Luckily I usually have ADA so queuing was a bit shorter. Was a huge help in Orlando and Chicago, sadly didn't get to go to Anaheim 😢

How was this year compared to 2017 and 2019? Those were the two I went to, and it was very poorly ran by Topps. I heard this year Disney was in charge.

I love star wars but I have to say other than the paintings I don't understand why there is so much junk being sold there. Waiting hours in lines for that experience seems awful.
Why does it have to be like that with impossible lines every step of the way? Why can’t they do entry window times, or have more staff or less people? Does not look like fun.

they oversold this event by at least 30%... the crowds are over the top to be remotely enjoyable. very disorganized with no signage directing people. the reservation app is a joke and random. if folks enjoy waiting hours to spend $700 for Uyghur slave labor made t-shirts , have at it. you couldn't even preview the merch before standing in the 3 hour line. they know that making it scarce and mysterious will drive demand and purchases (i got extra stuff cuz it was hard to get) . but after a few hours, merch gets repetitive... all to end up in a landfill or thrift store in a few years.
It was not what I expected either. It was basically a SW flea market.
