I went to MegaCon on Friday-Saturday (my first time at the Con since 2019), and I had fun overall. I met Daniel and Johnny from Karate Kid/Cobra Kai on Friday-but Saturday was too crowded and crazy for me!

I went all four days with my wife and kids. We had a great time and got everything we wanted with no problems. We were able to do all this because we PLANNED AHEAD. Next year I might get a vendor booth and hand out free deodorant and breathe mints as a public service.
Hi, im attending Megacon in Orlando in two weeks. Do you have any suggestions on if I should pay for parking or Uber to the convention? What time frame would be best to arrive to avoid the heavy traffic? Thanks!
Crocs are the shoes of men of culture. I wore Crocs to Epcot one time back in 2011 and because I had Crocs, I was asked to take them off so I was riding the original Soarin' barefoot...and it felt SO good MegaCon truly is the crossover of crossovers, it makes no sense at all yet somehow it also does at the same time
Saturday was way oversold. The crowd was to the point of dangerous and the. 4 Hobbits photo op was , as another con attendee said, "a fire Marshall's nightmare".

Like you said, Friday and Sunday were great, but Saturday was a nightmare (at least getting into the convention was). I pretty much chilled at the comic book creators area the entire time, so the lines weren't MEGA long. On Saturday, it took my brother and I four hours to get from my house in Cape Canaveral to parked at the convention center. When we left, we misplaced my car, and spent a couple hours going through the parking lots. It was not a great time, also traversing the retail area was not fun. I am definitely gonna go next year.

This was hands down the best convention video I have ever seen. I feel like I was there. You talked to the viewer, to talked the people there, crafted hundreds of short stories immersing me in the experience and without the crowds. Great job.
Went on Saturday per usual (been going for 6 years now) and I have to say it was the most crowded Ive ever seen it!! Thought I was gonna get covid for sure LOL. Hopefully next year it wont be so crowded. Wish the prepaid ticket line was more efficient. Its kinda slow. It didnt die down til 5 and then it was like how it always is. But i still had fun!
I'm glad I went on Friday instead of Saturday! Friday it wasn't too crowded, I was able to get free parking near the con with no wait, and there were buses taking people from the parking garage to the con entrance ^^
It was a disaster on Saturday. Where were the cops to direct traffic? Comic con and wondercon, the SDPD and Anaheim PD are out directing traffic all day every day. We sat on the off ramp, 1 mile away and 1.5 hrs later still were nowhere near the convention center. So we drove down the shoulder and bailed. We'll never come back. We'll stick with the pros at comic con. Total shitshow. The $100 photo ops were a joke too.
Toys meant to be unboxed! 💕 Such a crazy experience. I think I would pass this convention. Although packed with people is not my forte. Says the lady going to celebration 😅
I went to Megacon on Saturday it was insane! I was going to meet Brendan Fraser when I got there but the lady at the booth told me the tickets were sold out! And to try back around 2 I went back at 2 she said they are sold out and get out of here! She was so nasty! Then I went back at 5 and they let me buy the ticket for some reason! I was only on line to meet him for 45 min!
All I did for parking is I arrived at the parking lot like... 2hrs it's very early every day... yeah... But I got right up to the entrance and just could park where I wanted. The line was short too. They also don't let you stay outside for long and take people in pretty early so everyone can wait in a air conditioned spot. Until you are let into the actual con area. I had a blast myself but man... Saturday was crazy. i believe there was ... from what i heard around 140k people that day
Hi, im attending Megacon in Orlando in two weeks. Do you have any suggestions on if I should pay for parking or Uber to the convention? What time frame would be best to arrive to avoid the heavy traffic? Like if I drove myself, should I try to get there for like 7-8 am just to be safe? Thanks!
this video was so much fun to watch, probably the best convention review ive seen, im loving it. cant wait to see one for this year! (mentally preparing for the megacon crowds...)
I was there Friday and Saturday, I agree that it was a bit crazy. Driving there was so crazy, as I got off 528 to Universal Blvd the traffic back up was so bad, we saw some guy get out of their car, go to the bushes to “take care of natural business”, came out of the bushes, and their ride was gone. Lol dude was lucky someone let them get a ride with them. The second day we got lucky on parking because a friend had a hotel room, so we parked at the hotel. But there was so much to do, and so much to see inside. I got lost several times and couldn’t tell where I came from. I wasn’t the only one because I had people ask me which way to the main entrance. I think next year they should try to organize it better to have a paranormal area, fantasy area, metal works … this way if you are looking for something in particular you go to this area.
But also, thanks so much for this video-- I was able to see all the cool stuff I missed and I loved your interviews! The best part of cons is the interaction with fans dressed as their characters. The Parks and Rec guy, the Grinch, the "Spit on the Fake Queen" meme guys were hilarious!
22:00 yo shit that's me. Sorry I wasn't ready for your question man. I had just got there and was kinda disoriented from the whole parking situation. Was also looking for some people. Great video glad I could be in it.
I went all four days. It was my first time going to Megacon. I was supposed to go last year but they pushed back the convention after we already rented a car and our Airbnb. Thursday, Friday and Sunday weren’t so full. It was enjoyable as we could walk everywhere in peace. Saturday was sooooo packed. It’s like a huge dmv line. Parking was only charged at Saturday too. This was my 2nd ever time going to convention (I went to Supercon in miami last year) so honestly this was a great experience because I bought so many things and saw cool cosplays as well. My friends wanted me to pay $5 to get stepped on so I did it for the memes. I had a lot of fun with my friends during this con!

I went on Saturday and thankfully it wasnt too bad since i mainly went to get figures and go to 1 panel but i will agree it was Crowded! Too many people and not enough deodorant 🤢
I had a lot of fun at MegaCon this year! I waited for an hour or so in Steve Downes line and I was able to get my Master Chief helmet signed >:) I think I went the same day as you, as I see a lot of the same people you interviewed.
i went on saturday and it was so crowded... took an hour to find parking 😭 still, wasnt the worst con ive ever been to! would go again, maybe stay a couple nights
I feel like that girl with the $5 sign was so smart... I had a friend count and on Saturday I had over 300 people ask me for a picture. I wish I freaking charged per pic xD
I normally have a booth but this year I chose to just go for fun. Got a 4 day pass cause all the rare stuff sells by Thursday night. So glad I chose to not go on Saturday. So happy I’m handicap (for a change) so I got better parking. Not too happy about getting Covid despite wearing a mask and only standing in one line on Friday night.
Just wanted to send props on how much you recorded. Haven't been to a con in years and it felt like I was living vicariously through the video and you got a lot of recordings of the cosplay which is a part I love seeing. The random questions you got people to answer was fun too. Thanks a bunch for sharing! Edit: Took me until the end to realize those two guys in the red outfits were the Knuckles meme. lol
We went Saturday only got there at 9:30AM and had waited in traffic over 2 and a half hours to park mostly because of rude people forcingly cutting in front of people in traffic nearly causing accidents. Did not get into the convention till about 1PM. They need police presence directing traffic next time. It was hard to move around around and we did not get to experience all the booths. Went last year on a Thursday (or Friday, can't remember) and despite less hours we got to experience everything. Next year we plan to do Thurs/Fri and plan to stay (if possible) at a nearby hotel so we can walk over.
There were rumors that there were 80k people there on Saturday. They were completely sold out for Saturday. I couldn't stand it when people were complaining about the parking situation on Saturday and they were arriving at like 11-12. GET THERE AN HOUR BEFORE THE FLOOR OPENS!!! That way, you get good parking and a good spot in line. Not the cons fault that you got there after opening like half of the con population.
Hi, im attending Megacon in Orlando in two weeks. Do you have any suggestions on if I should pay for parking or Uber to the convention? What time frame would be best to arrive to avoid the heavy traffic? Thanks!
I agreed with you on Saturday. I went 2 days on a 3 day pass and was done by the end of Saturday. I had fun and got some nice comics for the collection but I still didn’t see everything at the con.
Educational. I live about 4 hours away from any kind of large city, so I've never been to a convention like this. Always thought it might be kind of fun to see all the people dressed up. Now I am rethinking that whole thing. But still interesting. LOL! Hope this year went better.
Megacon 2022 in a nutshell - No Cap. Literally, they should have capped the ticket sales. Way too crowded. My siblings and I waited in line (all 4 separate lines) 7 hours to meet all the Hobbits, my sister really wanted all their signatures and it was her first Megacon ever. She paid in advance for their autographs and it wasn't guaranteed, but they didn't tell her that until after. It took the whole day, and was really awful.
great video! I remember the first video I ever saw of you was last year's MegaCon video, been watching since then :D Been doing cons for 10 years so love these kind of vids ^^ seems indeed rather overcrowded tho, been to cons like that too. And loved following the celebs meetups online of the event but a 3 hour wait is too insane, even for my boi Brendan Fraser.
And here we were thinking London Comic Con was bonkers! Thanks for sharing this with us fellow geeks, as it was an eye opener and a lot of much needed laughs. Keep up the great work. So glad Peter and Kitra introduced us to your channel.
I've been to Megacon (Not this year but previous years) where Saturdays were always packed. That's why I'd get a VIP pass for celebrities and stay at the hotel with the walkway to the convention center, so I wouldn't have to park there. When you mentioned from 25:40 - 25:43 about virtual Q&A's and lines with celebrities, how did that work? You paid money, and Megacon gave you a QR code to access a live stream of the celebrity's session? Did they have face-to-face panels at Megacon Orlando where you sat in the same room with celebrities?
If they used the space where you get your pass then line up inside to enter better, it wouldn't been as crowded, thankfully I went Sunday but I heard Saturday was beyond crowded
Great video. The last MegaCon I saw was 2001. It was all just a bunch of dudes and minimal cos play. This year I finally made it back to MegaCon. Took my son and friends this year on the Saturday. We lucked out on parking. But after a few hours the floor/expo was impossible to navigate. We will definitely be back again next year - but skipping Saturday.
I was there that day and I got to meet James Arnold Taylor! I was actually surprised the line to meet him was so short. But yes it was so insane that day.
These shows are not even fun anymore. They sell more tickets than they have room for people. It's just a money grab. And you can't meet the celebrities without 4-5 hours to wait. Why am I buying a ticket to wait that long? I can't do it anymore. I'll be interested to see if Celebration is oversold as well.
Hi Kevin! The girl in a box is featured HEAVILY on Kawaii Arcade Masters on RUclips. She is a vampire and in order to not kill her brother, she keeps her fangs in a stick of bamboo rather than kill her brother. The vampire looses control when she feeds.
I didn’t Go to Megacon, but had major FOMO. I have noticed that Saturday is the killer app for cosplayers, so as a cosplayer it’s a double edged sword of HAVING to go, even though it’s a mess. At Steel city con it was impossible to even move on Saturday
I regret buying the Saturday pass this year. Unfortunately I don’t think they will put a limit on passes next year so I will probably just go Thurs-Fri. It also took us an hour to get into the parking lot and I never saw the traffic so bad with lack of traffic police. For the amount of backup of cars (in the intersections mind you) it was unbelievable. But I kept my cool and enjoyed seeing the vendors. I agree that this made Magic Kingdom seem like a cake walk lol.
I went on Saturday and oh my god the crowds were insane. We were waiting like 2 hours in the car just to park and it was so hot. A bunch of my friends and I who went got covid sadly but other than that it was a great time... probably never going on Saturday ever again tho lol
Hi, im attending Megacon in Orlando in two weeks. Do you have any suggestions on if I should pay for parking or Uber to the convention? What time frame would be best to arrive to avoid the heavy traffic? Thanks!
@user-zw8po7nk5b this year is different days than usual, if possible I definitely recommend coming on the earlier weekdays than Saturday. If you park in any of the far away places like the random lots there are busses nearby that will take you to the con for free and you dont have to wait super long for them to come, max like 30 minutes. You do usually have to pay for those parking spots tho I think it's like 20 dollars, I don't remember if we had to pay to park on sight but the lines are always crazy there. I'd probably recommend GETTING there at 9 or earlier for the easiest parking experience. Dealers room doesn't usually open until around 11 but usually there's other stuff available if you get there early. If you're willing to pay more it would probably be less stressful taking a taxi since as long as you wake up early enough I'm sure the taxi would get you there fine. Only one time I parked and couldn't find the bus and had to get a taxi, usually you can follow the weebs and find the bus.
We went Saturday only, our 4th time going. This was by far the worst experience we've ever had at any con, and aren't sure we'll be going back next year
Long live Megacon , thanks for your on the spot reporting , , and I freaking loved the" icon cartoons S&M art booth , , had a feeling Kermit and Piggy were Leather Freaks , , , ,keep rocking dude 😎👍
They obviously WAY oversold Saturday. IF I ever go back, and that's a big IF, it won't be on a Saturday. I've gone every year for the past twenty years, and this year was ridiculous. It was impossible to move and impossible to browse. Avoid Mega-Con on Saturdays (and maybe in general) at all costs!
Great video! We saw a lot of the same characters you showcased. We went Sunday and luckily got there early enough at 9:30 to avoid the crazy traffic. We stayed until 4 and avoided the traffic again by taking the back road to get on I-4. It’s definitely an event that can be overwhelming but once you get started, it’s so much friggin fun 😍
I had a 4 day pass and I will say Saturday was extremely crowded it took an hour just to get from one concourse to the other cus of the crowds. was my first time at megacon and my biggest convention so far. definitely way bigger then youmacon back home in Detroit.
I went early on Friday, and it was awesome. I stayed for most of the day, and it wasn't too bad, just got a but busier as the day went on. It was my first con of many, and met so many cool people with cool cosplays!
10:09 I heard it got so bad that they had to start telling girls it was free to do the speed-dating, but not many showed up lol And yeah, I was at the con from about 9:00am till about 6:30pm. 5 of those hours were spent in autograph/photo lines. It was insane how badly organized it was this year. It was cool seeing you at the con briefly :D
They confirmed that Saturday was over sold, 165,000 people. They ran out of badges to give you and were using paper wrist bans for admission. Fire marshalls were there the entire day inspecting exits and over flow areas. Saturday was awful.
I learned Fridays are better than Saturday for megacon because of how crowded they are plus celebs always show up multiple days and the ones who show up Saturday show up on Fridays too
I was there on Saturday with a few others, we got outside the con at 10:30, we couldn't get parked until about 1:30, the parking was horrible and talking to some vendors they said that the con tickets were oversold and everyone had problems with service and internet. Although it was like that it was my first experience with a con like this. I tried to stay away from the largest crowds but I still had some fun walking around and seeing the con, it has made me want to go to more, hopefully with less people around. I did want to go see the hobbits but one of the mates I went with spent 4 hours in the line for a Brendan Frasier picture, the con literally ended and she was still in line, they kicked everyone else out and let the people waiting for pics or autographs get those. Overall it was fun but I wish I could have done more, there was just far, FAR, too many people there
Hi, im attending Megacon in Orlando in two weeks. Do you have any suggestions on if I should pay for parking or Uber to the convention? What time frame would be best to arrive to avoid the heavy traffic? Thanks!
@user-zw8po7nk5b The best suggestion I could give you is to go on a Friday or a sat. That is what I plan. Last year, there was a limit to those tickets, so hopefully, there will be plenty of parking and not wall to wall with people. In terms of time, I am unsure as to the best time, I go to lots of ren faires, and the earlier typically is the better. Hope this helps!
I went to megacon this year and it was awesome!! I just went for the day and I cost played gambit from xmen and I got a lot of compliments on my cosplay to! I met a lot of really cool incredible people and I saw a lot of cool celebrities etc it was far from a disaster!
Jaja I remember I went to 2016 Megacon I was in a 4 hour traffic jam looking for parking, next year I book the hotel in front of the convention Center, parking problem solved , and like I told you before bro, you can find more inmersion and star wars characters at megacon or SW Celebration than in Desert galaxy edge
YOOOO You were there?! amazing! I got a 4 day pass since it's been two years since I been there I decided to stay home on Saturday though lol, good call It seems. It was pretty fun, My first time cosplaying I was just a pokemon lol some people took my photo it was nice.
I went to MegaCon on Friday-Saturday (my first time at the Con since 2019), and I had fun overall. I met Daniel and Johnny from Karate Kid/Cobra Kai on Friday-but Saturday was too crowded and crazy for me!
Update: I cannot believe that I just saw Bugs Bunny taking a carrot up his butt. Wow! Definitely missed that booth 😂!
I completely agree. Saturday made me want to die. But overall, the con was fun!
I had a lot of fun at MegaCon this year but man the crowds were insane lol
I also had the pleasure of meeting the voice actors for Anakin, Ashoka and Kenobi from Clone Wars and they were so nice
Shrek is love and he's indeed life as well...and we'll never forgive Universal for doing the unthinkable of getting rid of his one and only shrine

Thanks!
I had a panic attack Saturday. It was awful. I also came home sick. I pray it’ll be better next time.
Fantastic! I couldn't go this year so this was a nice alternative. Plus I loved the edgier, adult stuff.
😄 Your videos are criminally underrated
I've been to Megacon (Not this year but previous years) where Saturdays were always packed. That's why I'd get a VIP pass for celebrities and stay at the hotel with the walkway to the convention center, so I wouldn't have to park there. When you mentioned from 25:40 - 25:43 about virtual Q&A's and lines with celebrities, how did that work? You paid money, and Megacon gave you a QR code to access a live stream of the celebrity's session? Did they have face-to-face panels at Megacon Orlando where you sat in the same room with celebrities?
The staff that Saturday were underprepared and seemed unsure where to go or direct people. Insane crowds. The other days were great
If they used the space where you get your pass then line up inside to enter better, it wouldn't been as crowded, thankfully I went Sunday but I heard Saturday was beyond crowded
Really enjoyed the video, I miss going to conventions! Thanks for sharing with those NOT in Florida!
Glad I found myself in the background at 19:26
That guy with the glass art was so weird lmao
Ahh, I was hoping you would have filmed past my table in Artist Alley. You were so close on some points.
Star Wars Celebration sold out this year in 2 days. (it's this weekend, in Anaheim, CA)
It's insane how much MegaCon changed so much since my last trip to it in 2012
I kinda want to come back for 2023 tbh, the chaos is insane.
The Batman in the rickshaw shot was brilliant! Great job!
Well done! This video really looked professional. Enjoyed the laughs.
We’re the huggy and poppy! Outside of later Saturday it was a good time for us but it needs some organizing!
I went on Saturday and oh my god the crowds were insane. We were waiting like 2 hours in the car just to park and it was so hot. A bunch of my friends and I who went got covid sadly but other than that it was a great time... probably never going on Saturday ever again tho lol
I was going to say, probably a whole new virus started there on Saturday. Hope you all got through with mild cases.
This was by far the worst experience we've ever had at any con, and aren't sure we'll be going back next year
This is just the best, keep putting out vids like this and I'll, watch em. Or at least I'll try to!
I go every single year. This year Saturday was a nightmare. Stay about 2 hrs and left.
Long live Megacon , thanks for your on the spot reporting , , and I freaking loved the" icon cartoons S&M art booth , , had a feeling Kermit and Piggy were Leather Freaks , , , ,keep rocking dude 😎👍
On Saturday, it took us 2 hours to find parking. I was stuck in a keep liberty with a 7 and 8 year old. It was not fun.
7:29 is the guardian stalker from Zelda Breath of the Wild. Very well done because the music is part of their foreboding.
"I hate when people take pops out of the box"
*Walt Disney + Castle Pop out of box*
LMFAO the box was way to big and the resale price wasn't very good
I find the best way to insure you never have to find somewhere to park is to book a hotel room within walking distance of the con.
Dude! You need to watch Our Flag Means Death! It’s hilarious and you will totally love Buttons and his seagull Karl!
If they did a speed dating for gay men and lesbians I bet we would have 100’s of new couples. You know I’m right.
@@jlin4329 they do offer that
They shoukd bring back the megacon speed dating show. Lol that should bring in an even crowd 😂
@@GingerTurquoise that would be so much fun to watch haha 😂
I meant to do the speed dating, I lost track of time and missed it. Sorry boys!
Sad I didn’t get to see you there but glad you had a good time.
I also bought the Star Wars Christmas special from that video guy! I bought four (three for friends) and he did indeed cut me a deal.
Omg the speed dating, I'm dying.
They confirmed that Saturday was over sold, 165,000 people.
They ran out of badges to give you and were using paper wrist bans for admission.
Fire marshalls were there the entire day inspecting exits and over flow areas.
Saturday was awful.
That’s sad
I learned Fridays are better than Saturday for megacon because of how crowded they are plus celebs always show up multiple days and the ones who show up Saturday show up on Fridays too
I think probably the only disaster at that megacon was undertaker asking for 229.00 for a freaking autograph
Where's the comic books? That's probably why sucks. It's why I refuse to ever go again.
Loved your video on this. *Chefs kiss*
Doesn't look fun at all lol . I'll just view it from the comfort of my home . Thanks for your senses sacrifice 😄
This was great! I have always wondered what it was like at MegaCon haha. 😅
I want to MegaCon but it was crowded and some interesting costumes
that being said, i have never looked better on camera!
yeah megacon got weird af. it's horror cons or nothing for me from now on.
I was here for Saturday and it was so packed that they ran out of badges, huge safety concern.
tomatoes and potatoes
tomatoes and potatoes
tomatoes and potatoes and YUCA! - was probably my favorite part among many others 😆
@@thebasics525 thanks so much for your reply, appreciate it! I hope it all goes well
@user-zw8po7nk5b I'm sorry, I meant to go on Friday or Sunday, not Sat. Have fun!
Dude I waited for 4 hours to get a signature from Kevin Smith. Even the dudes who got the line skip had to wait for 3 hours
YOOOO You were there?!
amazing!
I got a 4 day pass since it's been two years since I been there
I decided to stay home on Saturday though lol, good call It seems.
It was pretty fun, My first time cosplaying I was just a pokemon lol
some people took my photo it was nice.
