Good testing. I found that some steels will just crumble with one of the coticules I have, they just can not take the garnets. But on other razors, the edge will hold up just fine. So it is important to find what your stone is capable of but also what it will do with certain metal. I have been wanting to add to the noise with honing as well. :) You never know what you bring out is what someone else needs to hear to figure something out. Thank you for the video and your time. I hope that you are doing well and have a good one. Cheers
Not sure. This wasn’t a “hone-to-shave” presentation so I would like to spend a little more time finding a good midrange match for this Coticule. Thanks for watching!
Nice Coticule. I have found that the different steel types and hardness makes a big difference, especially when coticules are involved. I also have had a hard time getting valuable data from gold dollar testing because of the steel. For some reason i get my best results off a coticule if i use a softer steel. Alway interesting to see you experiment.
@@jpo31 I’m interested to see if the underlying issue is a compatibility issue with the two stones shown here. More testing to come. Thanks for watching!
Hi Devan. You said the coti was prepared with another coti and dressed down with an ark. I was wondering. I heard it's not recommended to use diamond plate. Have you used sand paper to flatten it? Thx, have a good rest of your week
great video bro, really like your progression. Thanks for sharing and have a good week !
@@Josh.Pascale Hopefully I can post a follow up video to this sometime soon. Thanks for watching!
