I just subscribed to your channel today . I've watched about 4 hours of videos ,I have really enjoyed your site . I have recently retired this year and contemplating buying an RV and traveling . You're site is one of the better ones I have looked at in my research . I am currently living in New Hampshire and beginning to want to go south again . I grew up in New England and after my enlistment in the Air Force , I settled in Florida in the Clearwater area back in the late 70's ,I was in the auto body business until the early 2000's and after loosing my wife and my children were basically all grown and on their own , I moved back north again . Now I find myself going south to the Carolina's and Florida multiple times a year to visit my children and grand children . I am also into woodworking as a hobby and what I am looking to do is possibly buy something on the lines of a toy hauler so that I can have my workshop and be able to travel to shows and sell my products , stay warm , and visit with my family . I have been looking in the Tampa area for property to kind of work from as a home base , and travel out from there . I am 67 and now is the time to make a move if I'm going to do anything . Like I said , I have enjoyed your site . If you can think of anything that may be helpful to my situation , please let me know . I really don't see many folks doing what I want to do , or I'm looking in the wrong places . It's just me , so it's not like I'm having to worry about too many comforts , I would like to maybe getting a dog again , that's one friend that's always good company , but that's a thought for another day . I'll keep watching , keep up the good content and hope to talk soon , take care Gary Lemire
Thanks for watching our videos! Sounds like a great plan for a toy hauler so you can bring your woodworking with you on the road. Best wishes and maybe we will see you out there someday.
Great video thanks so much for the info. We are in Washington State right now.. I'm tired of all the ice and snow so your video came at a great time! We bought thousand Trails with all the bells and whistles .Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and all of your love ones !
I've stayed at Fiesta Key, love all the updates that have been done to the campground. Ben , Sherity Best wishes for your family may you have a Merry Christmas. Good luck in the RV reality show we're rooting for you. Hope to meet you at the Tampa show.
Well your suffering for content I see. Tough stay, suffering for us. It's visible yeah. ;) Great watch guys thanks! That's a pretty big place to be empty. Love to be there! Our 39S is in drydock. I'm making sure I get new belts, changing out the coolant and hoses and the trransmission fluid as well as the Cat oil change...Good tip for the commode! thanks! we will visit and purchase. we'll meet someday on the roll! BTW, I've had to repair the Lip on the driver slide as the welds broke! Not sure if your bunkbeds have caused any trouble...and the shower has to go. it's like a ft. off the ground! Our video series has started...we aren't publishing yet though.
Thanks guys, we love the keys as well. Staying down at key Largo in February. Hoping your thanksgiving was a good one. Will be Looking for you guys at Tampa RV show..
How much did the Zone Pass cost? Is their a limit on stays with it? If so, perhaps the cost of the pass and number of nights you could use should also be factored into the $20 a night. More information on that would have been helpful. We stayed at a Monterey park two years ago that was independently owned and operated and it was about $70 a night, but last year when we tried to stop there again, it had become a Thousand Trails park and since we were not members, the cost would have been $365 a night, so we passed on it and stayed elsewhere.
But! To get in that campground you need the Thousand Trails and the add on Trails Collection Encore. Right? That being said, with the two it would be around a thousand dollars to get a campground for twenty dollars a night.
@GratefulGlamper 995 for the year. We stay at sigsbee campground in Key West for $14.00 a night. We spend a little over $1200.00 for three months in key west.
@@GratefulGlamper Oh okay so you have to purchase the Trails Collection in addition to the Camping Pass? So do you have to be completely out of the system for 7 days every time you use the Trails Collection?
Studying the Thousand Trails Sight. I am wondering when do you know what the Thousand Trails Rate will be during reservation process. Not seeing anything telling me the process.
Thousand Trails pass sounds intriguing but wondering if I’d truly be able to get a reservation when I need one. We have a class B. Is it easier to reserve accommodations with a smaller rig?
How far in advance do u have to reserve. We have a KOA membership and can never get in the super great area like the keys. Is thousand trails the same way.
You can stay both as a thousand trails member or at “retail” we have a camping pass that is only $900/year and we stay for FREE at several other RV Campgrounds in Florida and across the USA. It’s saved us thousands! Gratefulglamper.com/thousandtrails
Greatful Glamper - I stayed here on your recommendation and since I am not a Thousand Trails member I paid the full rack rate. This is the worst campground of my one month stay in FL. Campground space, bathrooms, shower, all the worst so far.
@@GratefulGlamper Grateful, part of the difference in our experience may be where we stay. We were in #414, across from the dog park in a section where our ‘small’ class c (25’} was located inter-layered by larger units from the street behind us. When I looked out my bathroom window I looked into the next unit’s headroom 2-3’ away. The service pedestal was on the ‘wrong’ side of the RV, except the sewer which was tight outside our bedroom window. Take a look next time you are there. The mem’s shower was closed and the co-ed shower single stall shower was ‘lacking’ (we have a shower but store stuff in it and prefer to use campground showers). The other side of the campground looked pretty nice. The restaurant had good food. The public areas were great but it was a little cool to enjoy those.
Stayed last year in the keys for 4 days and got eaten alive by no see ums. Not anxious to do it again. And yes I slathered on every repellant that was suggested.
Why dont you twll the truth , how much did you spend for the thousand trails encore package ? If you did the true cost would be about $1000.00 for the night. Try being honest in the future please.
We spent $1200 for our annual camping pass with the Encore add on. We don’t have the big fancy expensive plan. Our camping pass has MORE than paid for itself. Even if we NEVER used it after this stay, it totals out less than the $200/night retail rate.

Our zone pass cost $915 and we’ve used it a ton, many campgrounds being completely free.
New to Rv camp life.
Thanks for the information

@@boondockingamerica Is Sigsbee hard to book? We are retired Navy so only can book 6 months out, not a year.
Wow! We have the Southeast Zone Pass, but I thought the Keys resorts were part of the Trails Collection?
They are part of the Encore add on.
@@GratefulGlamper Oh okay so you have to purchase the Trails Collection in addition to the Camping Pass? So do you have to be completely out of the system for 7 days every time you use the Trails Collection?
Nice♥️
It is impossible to book a rv site through any TT in Florida now. The TC rv site cost more then $200 per day for TT members
That’s not been our experience
Studying the Thousand Trails Sight. I am wondering when do you know what the Thousand Trails Rate will be during reservation process. Not seeing anything telling me the process.
It’s listed under the parks/campgrounds list

There are more sites available for smaller rigs, yes

It’s all in the website for Fiesta - link in video description

Stayed last year in the keys for 4 days and got eaten alive by no see ums. Not anxious to do it again. And yes I slathered on every repellant that was suggested.
What? What are "no see ums?"
@@donnabaardsen5372 tiny little almost invisible bugs. Itch like crazy and the itch and redness can last a week or more.
We were just in the keys camping and I do agree, no see ums everywhere. Could not sit out in the am or night. Day time too just not as bad.
The best thing to keep them away is a fan (air movement) or wear long sleeves/long pants
It’s never getting cold in Florida anymore. So the bug populations just keeps building on itself.
