That shade of blue is gorgeous!
Beautiful color. Perfect for that car
KC you are an amazingly talented painter. Another job done to your very best as always. We have watched you since the Gas Monkey days all the way to your new shop on your own. Merry Christmas to you and everyone here and worldwide.
Love the Zephyr 3 window coupes, they were full customs from the factory.
One of the best car designs ever...and a great paint job (I expected nothing less!)...
that is a beautiful car..and a awesome job guys
sweet car, looks great
👌
Holy moly!!! KC!! Amazing paint job. You and your Crew do amazing work
Probably the sexiest Zephyr out there!!! Awesome job KC
👍 at first I wasn't sure about the color but after it was all said and done... I'm a believer if your statement!
I doubt that. There are some extravagant Zephyr’s out there. We’ll have to compare when it’s a finished build
Very nice !! Always loved those zephyr !!
Great color for this car. Thanks for the post.
Bad ass paint job 👊🏾👍🏾💪🏾🍻😎🍺
You know it Juan!!!
That’s a great looking car! Looks awesome!
Looks like Austin Speed Shop just found a new go to for quality work.
Definitely stunning, hope to see the final product one day
Me too, can't wait to see it done!
Fantastic looks fad
DDG - Drop dead gorgeous!

Beautiful car nice choice for the color on that car. Can't wait to see it all together I'm sure I will see it in a magazine or a car show being shown off. A car like that is made to be shown off and driven it has to get bugs and road marks or it's just an art sculpture in a museum and nothing else.
not bad
turned out kool
Good Hat bro I like the color
what a beautiful car. hope you guys do more customs.
Nice one!
Saludos mi hermano desde mexico!!!
Let me get this straight.....do or do not scratch the car?Love the color!!
Looks very much like alfa romeo nuvola blue, beautiful colour 👍
I was there today seen the car in person bad ass car and paint work
I didn't realize anyone had stopped by aside the Austin Speed Shop guys. Did you get a tour of the place?
@@Photobombin
I remember when jesse james first opened that place,NO PAINT BOOTH...STILL NO PAINTER...
No
I was there when the Austin guys were there
I bet the video doesn't give the paint job no justice only because I saw cars in person then seen it in a magazine you couldn't see the deep paint job on paper like in person.
Man that looks nice!
Frank! I agree man. KC and Bruce are a killer team!
Happy new year lads. Great work.
Happy New Year Ronan! Thanks for watching.
I got a fever, and the only cure is more Shop Dad!
Awesome artwork I hope one day we will share experiences 👍🏼
Awesome 😱🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥 thanks for watching!
Muy bien saludos desde Honduras
Thanks for viewing from Honduras!
@@Photobombin you're welcome
Nice
The “other shop” this came from was JCJ customs in North Fort Worth/Keller. It was always supposed to be painted by a representative of BASF. JCJ Customs did all the finalization of metal work, gapping the doors, deck and hood as well as fender skirts and running boards. After finishing the last fine tuning of the metal work they did all the body work, priming blocking all the way to prep sanding for paint and handed it over for the usual pinhole check, and common sense pre paint check anyone swinging the gun would do. Kc’s didn’t let anyone down painting and buffing after the hundreds of hours of work put into this thing from Austin Speed Shop and JCJ Customs.
Hey Erick, I was there yesterday but didnt see you but did see this car !
Hey Derek! I was out of the office yesterday. You should stop by the house sometime and see my progress on the Z. Everything is out of the engine bay and this weekend I will have deleted everything that needs to be gone, just some welding left to do and it will be ready to prep for paint.
Erick Barrandey Yessir will do, might stop by hotrod shop tomorrow
It wasn't that straight when it left the factory. Beautiful.
Like a Pearl Blue
Welcome to style 101......
You seem like a cool son of duded nice job too
Now that is a perfect example of autoerotica.......metal sex at its finest......beautiful. nice job on the paint work Kc
1 a ver como sempre top de mais
💪💪👏👏
Corro do meu sonho v o zephyr
FUCK YES!!!!!!!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Did i miss the mandatory Shop Dad appearance in this video?
Yes. I'm working on some stuff with him for next week. I'm trying to up the weekly videos by spending time with each person on the specific project they are working on for the day. Right now i'm filming with Keith as he turns a flat piece of sheet metal into an inner fender for the 1960 F100 we are working on.
Does KC prefer painting cars with the body panels off and separate and reassembling them afterwards and does he do the initial prep work (filler work, primer and blocking) with them off or on the car?
😎🇺🇸👍✌🏻
Benz has a color very similar so maybe that's where the MB comes from?
That's pretty interesting, perhaps but most of BASF paint codes start with MA, MB, MG etc.
KC your the shit bro stay you fuck gas money glad you didn't sell out
What would a paint job like that cost
I believe after all the work is done it was around 25k.
Is that still Jessie James shop?
And it should have air ride suspension that would really set that car off Drop it to the frame some nice wheels that's smoking
Martin, it may very well be air ride, the build is not finished yet, it was brought to use with a metal bar installed where the airbags would go to give it a safe ride height for transport, so no suspension was installed while we had it. I hope that's what it gets!
cant tell in video but if it has small flake in it, its a vintage Ford color.. Ming Green.. Looks very similar to my Falcon's color
Perhaps the MB paint no. means Mercedes Benz?
Perhaps, though most of BASF paint codes start with MA, MB, MG etc.
Did you use the sata 5000 gun on this one ?
Yes. KC had already finished painting the Zephyr before we got to demo the 5500. He does have some 5500's on order and we plan to do some more videos. It's hard to give info on stuff til you get some hours logged so we hope to do some updates on them.

sikkkk
how many coats of clear do you apply? do you apply clear twice (ex: two coats, sand flat, add another two coats?) or just once in the booth then cut buff?
Hey Danmion, most cars get 6 coats of clear and then sand flat. With this particular build having so many pieces Bruce was wet sanding for quite sometime and then cut and buff.
@@Photobombin 6 coats!!!?? im a collision painter and want to start doing more complete paint jobs. i'll catch up with you guys soon this year at one of the shows!!!!! i would love to know more of the process!
@@sshuttlesworth24 yes 6 coats I forgot the mil thickness of what we start and end at but KC likes to push the boundaries. He also shoots at a much higher PSI than recommended. It would be cool to catch up at a show or if you find yourself in the metroplex you can swing by the shop.
Hey erick!!! I NEED to show u n KC n the gang something... i reckon you'll think its crazy! i dont have fb or anything like that... do u have an email? If not im from the uk n had to order stuff differently and messaged boss lady directly.. is that an option still?
Hey David. You can shoot me an email at photobombin@gmail.com or bosslady at kcspaintshop@gmail.com. If your needing help with an order send me the email and I'll try and get it sorted for you!
Nice job. Just can't get excited about the car.
😒 I understand. We appreciate the kudos!
I seen KC he made me feel not welcome
Give tony robbins a call or chris farleys motivational speaker matt foley a watch..😂🤣
