I love videos like this! It’s so easy to get stuck in a rut with meal ideas so seeing your plan helps add some diversity into my weekly meals! 😅 it’s an added bonus that they’re low cost meals too! ❤

I find all this stuff really hard, food shouldn’t have been so cheap in the first place. Someone somewhere is losing out when we have such cheap products. That’s said, it’s allowed the government to keep wages low for decades, so it feel like it’s crazy price increases now because most people are paid so poorly.

You’re probably right there! When I see how much food costs in other countries, we’ve certainly been spoiled!

Thank you for making another food video. I shop every 2 weeks or so for groceries. Today I went in and just about died of shock over the egg prices. $5.00 and up for 1 dozen large eggs and they are not organic. Bought 1 dozen and told my daughter no Christmas cookies or desserts this year. Lots of rice, pasta, soups are in our future.

Oh wow! That’s crazy! We’ve struggled with bird flu here so eggs have been scarce recently and that, consequently, has pushed prices up again 🤦‍♀️

Food prices are crazy. I think it might even be over £10 to buy this set of ingredients in some shops. I have go to meals that were cheap that no longer are. Hard when you need to feed growing children diets that keep them healthy.

Definitely a tricky one. Luckily, lots of the veg and sometimes meat I can grab in the reduced section which can be a life saver!

love all your videos, can I ask you a few personal questions please? I am sure you must have answered them somewhere on your channel but I have yet to watch all the videos.
    1) what does your 14 year old daughter think to you putting your life on youtude and sharing all your money problems and stuffing envoples every week with money.
    2) did you run the restaurtant with your husband?
    3) What subjects do you teach and were you doubly trained in the beginning?
    4) How come someone as chatty, friendly, bubbly and full of passion as you are are single?, do the father's of your children play a part in their lives?
Sorry I am so nosy but love finding out about people's lives andwhy they put their lives out on youtude,

Wow! You have asked ALL the questions 🤣
I’ll try and answer what I can:
      1. Thought the word ‘problem’ was interesting. I don’t see it as a problem, but a solution 🤔😃 She doesn’t mind. She thinks it’s ‘cool’. I think there needs to be more transparency in terms of money and cost and so forth. I genuinely have always believed it should be put into mainstream education. Children leave school and get a job and suddenly that wage packet seems like an enormous amount of money when you have no overheads. Most of the time it gets frittered away because they don’t know how to handle it. I have always tried to include my daughter in these things to help her value and know money’s worth. I wish I had had a better understanding when I was leaving school.
      2. Yes
      3. I teach primary school children mainly, however I was also a professional musician so I also teach singing, guitar and piano. I went to university from college to get my Business degree, owned a restaurant then decided to retrain as a teacher which just requires a ‘top up’ called a PGCE. You can do a full teaching degree - I already had a degree so didn’t need to do that.
      4. Editing skills - I have ‘quiet’ moments too 😉
There are elements of my personal life I like to keep personal to maintain some integrity. At the moment, I would not like to use my channel to share my love life, past or present. My attempt to stay classy. Sometimes tricky to do but again, editing skills!
      Hope that helps 😊

Love the meals! I always stuck to just the plain spaghetti bolognaise, and curry’s because I always get scared to switch it up because off the pricing off everything 😩 I pay for my son’s nursery and that with the bills is most off my income gone unfortunately 😕🤍
