I bought a watercolour sketchbook imagining I would fill it with beautiful watercolour paintings… I am not good at it (very beginner) so I do nothing so as to not destroy my sketchbook. Bad way to improve. So I have decided I will try to recreate your paintings to start with. It will take some of the pressure off to have a starting point and the fact you are open about the fact that sometimes it does not work like intended is helpful to ear😊 Beautiful paintings.
Maybe practice in a notebook you don't care about to help take the pressure off. Then once you've gotten a few paintings under your belt you can start in the nice sketchbook
Ohhh I've been there so I know how you feel 🥲 I literally drew a stick figure on the first page of one of my old sketchbooks, just to shake off the feeling of needing to make every page on it perfect lol 🤣 I think there's definitely a learning curve with watercolors but the more you paint, the more your confidence grows! 😊 I try to keep things as honest here as possible because at the end of the day, I don't think there's a single artist who feels completely confident in their skills and are always happy with what they produce. And as a beginner, it's important to remember 😊
