I really respect his outlook on wrestling, just going out there and doing the job he's given, and not getting caught up in wanting to be "the best". I find it rather relatable in a way, albeit on a much much much smaller scale, lol.
I loved when he won the King of the Ring! To me it is a shame that he never won the WWE title, or one of the top title. Not talking IC title or US title he did great there, but World Heavyweight title or the WWE championship. I got really excited when he won KotR thinking a top title run was eminent!
@joscatt Because Vince Mcmahon recently came back to WWE after William Regal left AEW to join WWE. Regal joined AEW in the first place because Vince laid him off. Vince doesn't like Regal very much behind the scenes, but Triple H speaks highly of Regal.
I loved it when regal tried to educate the Americans, and the Americans hated it and boo him , and i loved it when he won from cheating and being all weasels , but i always thought that he was hard as nails and would go toe to toe with anybody, ,,,,,,,,and hes helped so many wrestlers polish their own talent to make them better wrestlers ,
He's from Staffs and lived in Blackpool long enough to get a more northern accent, but its weird how there are definite Yorks features when you listen to him. He says "always" as "orwes" which sounds so South Yorks to me.
Always curious how his relationship went. Darren knows the game inside and out but he’s nobody’s yes-man and states what he thinks politely but plainly.
Always did what was asked of him. Except that one time he 'took liberties with Goldberg'. LOL. Such a funny story. Or.. Could it be that Regal had a normal technical match, and Goldberg was just entirely out of his depth!
3:46 "Anything, I would've made it work" Ya hear that? Maybe wrestlers should take notes on that instead of expecting a whatever character they want. In WWE, you have to at least try and make whatever you're given, work.
@@UFCWWE69piss off lad, doesn't matter what someones name and heritage is. What matters is that they're out trying to smack talk one of the best wrestlers still going on a youtube interview. Saying owt else just gives credence to the inane statement they made.

Regal was a jobber bottom line, don’t understand this revisionist history that regal is a Legend or a major player in wrestling. Fair play to him in the sense that he made a great living out of Wrestling, though conflating this with stardom is a overstatement

They tried to Dusty him but the true greats rise above the bad gimmicks
So much respect for this guy met him after a raw in uk years ago and hes just a great fella
Living legend right here 💯

One of my all time fav heels. Loved match vs Randy Orton in England. Regal and Flair. Thank you Mr. Regal

Yea it’s insane he didn’t have at least one run…. He was a GREAT talent, out wrestled Goldberg when he was ‘Godzilla’ of the wrestling world
He came so close!
Nice one Kenny & co, love a bit of Billy Regal.
This man is a legit living legend! and from my neck of the woods, staffordshire!
One of my favorite wrestlers! Loved your segments with Steve.
What perfect timing to upload this, lol!

Two words most succinctly describe William Regal: Consummate Professional.

Being from yorkshire and a wrestling fan since 1999, hearing regal speak in his natural yorkshire tounge is baffling to me haha
@@drewpeacock69 it's close enough for me, I know what I meant haha
It's so jarring! I live abroad but from Donny and hearing him saying stuff like "good hiding" makes me feel like i'm back in Gods county

He’s from Codsall. Near Telford. His hero is my ex neighbour, Noddy Holder from Slade.
William Regal to GCW confirmed!
When was this recorded?
Man's man

The man’s man was a crap gimmick even Regal couldn’t make work.
In my opinion the WWE almost ruined this man’s career with the “man’s man” gimmick.
To be fair Regal was going through a rough point in his life with drugs at that time, if anyone would've ruined his career it would have been himself.
@@boxingfan6766 exactly, and Regal has openly said that himself.
You're confusing him with Lord Steven Regal in WCW, I think.
did you hear his first promo in this gimmick? he was drunk as a sailor and almost ruined his career
But regal actually IS a mans man irl
Bet he'll say the same when he's fired AGAIN !

Course he did not complain, he needed his drug money.
