Regal and Finlay always beat the living crap out of each other lol. I remember they were having brutal matches like every week on Smackdown in the early/mid 00s. Two legit guys who made it look real and always seemed like either man could beat the other on any given day.
I grew up watching these two in world of sport and they aren't just two of the best technical wrestlers to have graced the square circle in both WWE/WCW but two of the toughest.
I remember the arse end of world of Sport. It was in a pretty rough state by the mid to late 80s. A fresh faced Regal and Brookside tagging, Rollerball Rocco, Finley and a few others made it worth watching. My Nan hated Rocco😂
I remember being struck by the absurdity of two of the Best in ring Technicians in the World being forced to work a junkyard brawl and succeeding at that too .
@@walterhager8626 Back in the UK Finlay would absolutely maul opponents who were not up to his standards. Regal is definitely tough. And the general consensus between wrestlers is that Finlay is one of the rare few people who could survive a serious fight with Meng.
I remember this match. One hour of sports entertainment and then this old school West Texas brawl shows up. It was like Dirty Harry walking into the middle of Pee Wees Big Adventure.
