I'm not sure what else to talk about during these videos so I guess I'm just going to ramble on about some topics that have been on my mind. Please (please?) keep in mind that these are just my opinions. Don't get offended, don't get sad. Who cares what I think, right?! Just do your thing! Just create art, that's all I care about!

I'm really bad at wording things. I'm lazy in the sense that... I don't do things until they HAVE to be done. I don't sketch because it doesn't HAVE to be done. That's probably why I force myself into these challenges all the time... hahaha.

I like the subtle message of not cutting a Doberman's ears/tail :)
Just saying the reason of cutting dogs tails is so they don't wag them so hard that when the tail hits a object it burst open.
Also because sometimes dog’s tails are so long that they’ll drag on the ground or make them lose their balance
often people cut dobies' tails & ears for atheistic purposes, and is widely frowned upon for good reason :(

People 99% of the time cut them to make the dogs look more fierce. They are often used as attack dogs and to intimidate people.
Awe they're little boy doggos, I have a male dog and always get yelled at when I post a picture of him and don't blur out or put an emoji in front of his uhm part? So its nice to see you drawing it without a care, because that a part of a dog and owners shouldn't get yelled at when they post a picture because people think its 'inappropriate'

Nope not joking. I did blur it out for a little while, but stopped because that was a lot of extra non-needed work, now I love to spite those people and post pictures of my dog whilst he's on his back and living his life 😂

haha that makes sense! its the feedback you get when something being asked for is presented that has been starved from anything mainstream, a fair bit of response and in this case, good response! (and also side note happy new year, wishing well :))

I would need 6 months for this haha. There is no way I would be able to fill up a 600 page book in 30 days while also working and trying to get some commissions done.
Your art is so good though.. the first few pages made me realize just how much I need to practice drawing dogs.. animals in general really.

I think people say they're worried about ruining their sketchbook because when they see popular artists books theres never a picture scribbled out,They all look like final pieces and it makes others think theirs should be the same. I mean that's what I usually feel when I start a sketchbook. But I might start a new one this year. Put all my comic ideas and random characters in, this video has definitely inspired me, thanks.

I bought this huge ass sketchbook..it's amazing..not even done with it and yet now that im watching this i want another one!..😂😂i highly recommend it..but be warned..it's not made to be lugged around *freaking heavy*

I love the way you drew the poodles and shaded them with pastel colors, it really gives the effect of a more light and soft illustration :3
Edit: The chihuahuas are definitely my favorite though, they're just small short-legged bundles of adorablenes

thank you for adding the message "don't dock dogs" my boxer was docked before we got him.
kippers when we got my dog (she's half boxer) she had an open wound on her ear from when her previous owners tried to dock them.
The Ears docking I don't get it at all. the tail docking in some breeds are for health reasons. Some dog breeds have realy long and skinny tail and combined with the natural a hyper temperament it causes them bust up their tails. Almost constant Open wounds and bruising From hitting their tails on things when wagging their tail , not fun. if they had their tails docked it would of saved them pain. I'm not trying to start a argument but I'm saying it is not all bad.
no name i know in some cases old dogs need to have their ears docked to help with hearing
no name that is true. in most cases owners do it to make their dog look better. even worse, they do it by themselves and don't bother treating the open wound they caused.

I would DIE! I am terrible at making my sketchbook looking presentable, and I know so many people are like “but it doesn’t need to look presentable.” FOR ME IT DOES! I am such a neat freak when it comes to sketchbooks. But, I also draw a frick ton (especially during some classes... hah) so I think I’d pull my hair out with this challenge.
Kyla Doodles Same! I know a lot of people say, “Your Sketchbook should be messy and all over the place.” I can’t continue to draw unless it looks neat. I end up tearing out pages that I’m unhappy with. It’s a horrible cycle.

Oh wow Kasey, I suggest you take it slow with this one, it seems exciting but make surr to take breaks in between pages so your hand doesn't hurt!
Sweet Pigment tbh only complete noobs in my experience hurt their hands drawing for an hour or two a day
Actually, it is very sad that it isn't common knowledge that artists must take breaks. It is essential to prevent you from having carpel tunnel or something like that. I ignored that for years and now I MUST take breaks, otherwise I get pain, numbness and shocking down my hand, elbow and wrist therefore I advice you to take care of yourself as well :)

These are so good!! I love the dynamic poses and all the different breeds of dogs. I think my favorite page is the poodle one, mostly bc they look so fluffy and cute and the colors really help them pop!

This video made me feel so much better about sketching haha. Sketching in your sketchbook should be a no-stress activity, like, if you make a mistake it isn’t much of a big deal. I also love how you do multiples on each page and not like one whole finished drawing. In my own sketchbooks, I personally like to go back and redraw the pictures from my old sketchbooks, so I’d have like a head drawn in 2013 next to multiple of the same heads drawn in later years. I guess it’s just fun and a way to see you’re improvement. Anyway, nice video!
