    To everybody complaining about her showing the entirety of the human body, just keep in mind that the human body is a living form of art. It’s natural and it’s beautiful and it deserves to be respected and shown off for its true glory.
    Human anatomy is also very important for an artist aspiring to draw accurate human bodies to learn. She did brilliant on all of these drawings. Absolutely breathtaking. 💓

    It bugs me that anyone is getting upset about figure drawing. That is LITERALLY the center of all art! You need to know what you're drawing in order for it to be proportionately correct, and that won't happen if you don't practice! Kasey was practicing figures IN THE SKETCHBOOK. Where else should you practice? Should figure drawing be censored, even though every artist who even could hope to draw correct human proportion knows that you need to study anatomy? No. Be an artist and be mature. If I can do it at 13, you can do it too.

      Bella Means I drew a cartoon penis wearing a party hat in art class and my teacher saw it and she didn’t get after me or anything. I was trying to cover it up because I was embarrassed because I didn’t know she could see it but she was fine with it because I guess there’s no rule when it comes to senior year of high school and the art we make. If this was middle school then I’d have detention but I guess the perk of being in an adult class is that you can do anything in your private sketchbook.

    • @laurelcook9078

      Bella Means that being said, I wouldn’t turn in any hardcore porn scenes or anything risqué, but I did turn in a drawing where I’m literally only wearing my lab coat and nothing under it and you can see my bare skin on my chest (it’s a profile pic) and it’s hanging on the wall in our classroom and I’m shook.

    • @amsedzaferovic1679
      @amsedzaferovic1679 5 лет назад +26

      Maybe try to glue stuff over it instead of ripping the page out. Or you can glue a blank piece of paper over it and write on it, like your favourite songs or Quotes or Poems. I am a little bit of a perfectionist as well but i simply think "meh, i will try it another time". In the past i ripped out pages too but then i realized that it isn't good for the sketchbook, because when you rip out pages it tends to fall apart, so i simply stopped caring about drawings i didn't like.

    I have to say. I've watched a few of these Sketchbook Slam tours . . . yours was the only one I didn't get bored with half-way through. Seriously, I loved your quirky stylized approach. And you're right, the animal pages were definitely some of the best/cutest, although I also loved the spreads/scenes you did with your own original characters. This got a sub from me! Can't wait to see more of your art.

  • @SewLambitious
    @SewLambitious 6 лет назад +54

    I sat through the entire video and enjoyed watching it! I thought your 45 second people poses really came along toward the end showing more definite lines and less strokes to achieve the look. I like how you incorporated your own characters throughout the book. You had a good mix with incorporating backgrounds throughout, and I liked how you broke those up into 4 per page after doing several of the 2 page layouts.
    Since I have been forced to retire recently and want to get back into art that I have always loved to do, I think I will do one of these books after I work on a small sketchbook to get warmed up.
    I've been thinking a lot about things that I can leave behind for my kids and grandkids when that day comes. I think this would be something to inspire them at some point in their life. I'm hoping to start doing some art sessions with my grandsons, and also setting up a craft room to work on things with my daughter and mother.
    Thank you for showing the entire sketchbook!

And if you didn’t know that before watching and/or subscribing to her channel, then I suggest you look for another channel that suits your maturity and mental age level. And if you do gather that maturity, then by all means I encourage you to return to her channel and learn from her amazing naked art.

    Casey, you are such an inspiration to me. I'm a young 14 year old order and I have been striving to improve my art so much and just seeing all of your videos make me. Just they inspire me so much and I want to thank you for that. And I know I'm just some random team on the internet, but I just really wanted you to know that you were one of the reasons why I keep doing my art because sometimes I get so frustrated to where I just want to give up but I don't I I keep striving to improve my art. And I know you started wrong when your super young I started laws about 5, but I've been improving my art so so so much and when I see your videos about watercolor and stuff, I'm just like big braids. So then I actually am going to start painting watercolor soon. Right now. I have a normally use alcohol markers and microns and just throw random people's and stuff. But I've been trying to get really serious as my art. So I've been doing like people and stuff but you were just such an inspiration to me and I love your videos and if I could I would subscribe to you a million times and you just have a really funny personality. And your art style is amazing. I look I like how cartoon it is and I'm using you talk-to-text right now. So I'm sorry if some of the words are all jumbled up. But anyway, I super liked your videos and I super like your channel and I super liked everything you do. Thank you so much.

    i absolutely love this video! this is real art, raw and messy and beautiful. i am so tired of seeing those perfectly polished realistic artist videos 🤦🏼‍♀️ i want to watch the process! i want to be inspired by the bad drawings because IT HAPPENS! you are a wonderful artist and i want to see more of these types of videos ❤️

    You draw better things in 30 and 45 seconds then I ever could, my animals look like blobs.
    And my people don't look realistic, Thank you.
    P.s Your art is not trash like you said once, it is beautiful.
