It's so rare to see a production of Old Times that doesn't suffocate you with the Pinter Pause - I wish this was a full production, it would finally do the play justice for the mass audience!
harold pinter writes some of the hardest plays to perform in... b/c its not what you say its everything else, thats not being said.. thats so importants (hence the pinter pause).. it takes a great actor to be able to do this
Hi! Thank you for post the video. I'm brazilian and I never had the privilege to watch Alan on a play. One day, perhaps! If you could help me, I want to know what is about these play. Thank you very much! Love always!!!!
I'm afraid I will have to disagree with you, as the way he said it was exactly how the text of the play wanted/required him to. But I admit, it sounded really interesting when I've first heard it. :)
I was in the audience that very evening! Still one of my fondest memories of all times. I am still in shock that Alan Rickman passed away :'(
You were in shock that a 69-year-old man passed away?
@@littleripper312 Many don't. Not at 69.
RIP Alan Rickman. And RIP Robert Shaw would loved to see his version of this play

I find it so sad that Alan Rickman died I really liked him.
Quite simply an incredible piece of writing.
He’s rambling and I switched off but his voice soothes me so much 😅

14 Jan. Alan Rickman's passing away brought me here. Brilliant actor.
+Sherlock Lam Me too
I really enjoy this video, I live too far away so it's hard for me to watch Alan in the stage, Thanks for it ;)
Just about my favorite Pinter play, but I've never known what the hell happened.

Don’t know the play but on the basis of what I’ve seen in this clip it’s not one of Pinter’s best.
More Pinter drivel. Albeit very high quality drivel.
What fine clothes the Emperor is wearing today !
boring, fell asleep watching the new production, avoid at all costs!!
