Sadamune is probably the most influential character we have met so far, as he is the one that basically invented Japanese Etiquette in the noble courts, which his clan further spread after his time.

Great episode!! The use of CGI wasn't bad at all and I liked that the movements were smooth and natural. I can’t wait to see the next episode.

They be dropping shows left and right without notice

@@Frostyboiy lol they were hyped for it too but these days shows can’t slow down. It’s also why I say the whole carried by animation argument needs a caveat. A lot of shows have great animation today for their seasonal vs the past but it doesn’t matter if plot is not hitting or you don’t like it. And those same people cry how important uniqueness is and groundbreaking mind blowing deep plots yadda yadda matter but it’s not. In fact that can hurt you cause publishers want something familiar to other works before you try get a deal trust me I looked it up. It’s a weird paradox of fandom and what they watch. Most is focus tested or we’ll rot territory for a reason. Too much money to lose hence why execution of tride tropes matters as much as originality. This samurai show has great animation for what it’s worth but the plot needed to be thicker in a short time and feel hype. Oh well hope it gets better

@@kelteglemou5104 Yeah and she seemed really into it. Sometimes a show just doesnt hit. I was wondering why the series sells pretty well but has a low mal score. Seems the plot just doesnt move fast enough for today's audiences and doesnt have any strong hook with the kid and all comes off a mix of dark but also too light idk.

8:33 Wait a minute! There is no culture of eating dogs or cats in Japan! Even though you like Japanese anime, it's rude to think that all of Asia is the same country!
The samurai of this era began to take power instead of the aristocracy, and in an era when organizations were immature and many samurai were barbaric, Sadamune preached the Ogasawara-style etiquette, saying, "As a samurai, no, as a person, courtesy is important." Emperor Godaigo also recognized this as a "good idea," and Sadamune was a great man who taught the importance of etiquette not only to later generations of samurai, but to all Japanese people. In this anime, Ogasawara Sadamune is portrayed as an eccentric character, but he played a very important role in helping the samurai become a more refined fighting organization.

1:20 I'm starting to wonder if Tite Kubo, creator of Bleach started this whole too many eyeballs in 1 eye anime troupe.
1:57 I can't be the only one who thought that this guy was hiding a 3rd eye under his headwear. 13:00 Irl, this person was a great legend, so they say.
3:49 I believe he opened his eyes & then said 'assassinate.'🤔
7:48 That's the 3rd time that this anime made me hear Naruto osts.
8:43 Please explain what he meant by that.

The dogs used in the dog chases were so traumatized by the event that they were served to the spectators as a one-pot meal once the dog chases were over.
So it is a fact that Japanese people ate dogs. However, dogs are not eaten in modern Japan at all.

This is what Ogasawara Sadamune (kanji. 小笠原貞宗)was like.
He was a samurai famous for being a master of swordsmanship.
After the fall of the Kamakura Shogunate, Sadamune became enemies with Tokimune.
Deer are considered messengers of the gods in the Japanese religion of Shinto, so it is strictly forbidden to harm them with bows and arrows.
