A lot of shows have great animation today for their seasonal vs the past but it doesn’t matter if plot is not hitting or you don’t like it. And those same people cry how important uniqueness is and groundbreaking mind blowing deep plots yadda yadda matter but it’s not. In fact that can hurt you cause publishers want something familiar to other works before you try get a deal trust me I looked it up. It’s a weird paradox of fandom and what they watch. Most is focus tested or we’ll rot territory for a reason. Too much money to lose hence why execution of tride tropes matters as much as originality. This samurai show has great animation for what it’s worth but the plot needed to be thicker in a short time and feel hype. Oh well hope it gets better

Seems the plot just doesnt move fast enough for today's audiences and doesnt have any strong hook with the kid and all comes off a mix of dark but also too light idk.
